Granville Adams is a performer and actor who was born in 1963, and he stands at 5’ 11” tall. Among the productions that he has worked on are Homicide: Life on the Street as officer Jest Westby, Homicide: The Movie, and Empire. One significant turn in his life came back during February 4, 2007, when Adams arrested and charged with criminally negligent homicide due to the death of a man in a nightclub. In reports from the police, Adams allegedly got into a fight with Orlando Valle at BED New York, a nightclub located in Manhattan. The actor was accused of being responsible for Valle falling down an elevator shaft.
Zahir Arif is portrayed by Granville Adams in the HBO prison drama television series Oz. He is also known as Jerome Van Dyke, and he is a former drug addict who was put in prison for possessing stolen goods. However, during his stay in the facility he undergoes a notable spiritual transformation, becoming one of the least violent and most well-behaved inmates of the jail. He is a member of the Muslim faction, and a right-hand man of Kareem Said. Zahir is also supportive of the teachings of Islam, helping others adhere to them as closely as possible.
