American actor Graham Patrick Martin was born on November 14, 1991 in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He began acting for several stage productions, initially as a young child—A House Not Meant to Stand and The King and I—and later as a teenager, taking on classic roles in Grease, Oliver and Cats. On the back of this success, he made his screen debut in 2006, playing a guest role in the crime drama Law & Order: Criminal Intent; the following year, he made his film debut, starring in the horror flick The Girl Next Door.
Martin’s first regular television role came later in 2007, when he joined the cast of the comedy series The Bill Engvall Show. Written by famed stand-up comedian Bill Engvall, the series revolves around a family counselor (Engvall) who can’t seem to figure out how to deal with his own dysfunctional family. Martin took on the role of middle child and eldest son Trent, who loves video games and sports. Despite being often apathetic, he can be very witty—only if he needs to help himself.
