Born on November 19, 1979 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Gerald Harris stumbled upon mixed martial arts by accident. His first fight in 2006 was just for exhibition which a friend convinced him to do. Yet his performance was so good that he was invited to join a tournament, which paved the way for a professional fighting career. He also wrestled in college at Cleveland State University. He is currently fighting in the International Fight League for the Portland Wolfpack. His record stands at 6-2, with three of his wins coming by way of submission. His debut fight in the International Fight League was marred with controversy when he lost a split decision to Fabio Leopoldo in April 2007. He stands five feet eleven inches tall and weighs 185 pounds.
Outside the ring, Gerald Harris is a high school history teacher who also manages his own stand-up comedy career. He books, promotes, and produces all his gigs.

The Ultimate Fighter : Team Rampage vs. Team Forrest on Spike TV. This latest installment features 32 middleweight fighters who will vie for a six-figure, multi-fight contract with the organization Ultimate Fighting Championship. The cast is immediately trimmed down to the final 16 fighters to move in the house. For this season, the fighters are divided into two teams, each coached by UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton Jackson and Light heavyweight number 1 contender and season 1 winner Forrest Griffin.
