Summer Glau Gets Two-Episode 'Dollhouse' Stay

Oh, yes, Whedonites, it's happening. Summer Glau is confirmed to be joining the second season of Dollhouse, which begins on September 25.

The folks at Fox confirmed to fan site Dollverse that she's doing at least two episodes this season, playing a character called Bennett, who works within the Dollhouse. And that's the least we know.

San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Saturday Schedule

The Saturday and Sunday Comic-Con schedules were released over the weekend. I thought things would get really good on Saturday, but the list is less than impressive. I suppose with four full days of Comic-Con, you can spread out the really big panels. Once again, below is a list of our picks for the day. Check it out and if you see anything missing, check the full list here.

One thing I'm curious about is the Chuck panel. Why is it at 10am? Doesn't Chuck deserve one of the better time slots? Wouldn't NBC push for a better panel time? Chuck already had some struggles last season, but this season promises to kick-ass and the new kung fu twist is perfect for the Comic-Con fans. I stand perplexed. Either way, it looks like I'll be spending my morning with a donut, cup of coffee and my favorite show Chuck.

One Tree Hill: Is Brian Austin Green On The Way?

Maybe you haven't said that many goodbyes to Chad Michael Murray yet. But maybe you will soon. Is it hello, Brian Austin Green?

Sources tell Entertainment Weekly that the actor is in the final stages of talks to become a regular on One Tree Hill, which is pretty much a good fit, if you remember him from Beverly Hills 90210. Yeah, sure, you can't easily scrub that one out of your head. But the star, who last appeared in the recently-terminated Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, is essentially in the role, pending a few kinks.

Can I begin this article with a big sigh of relief, after that old (by now) announcement that Dollhouse is getting a second season?

Now that's done and over with, surely you have all those questions as the first season ended, both with the story (Paul Ballard, bad guy?) and with the cast themselves (Miracle Laurie, where?). And, with news that ABC has picked up Happy Town for the middle of the coming fall, a big question mark hovered above Amy Acker's head.

'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles' Officially Terminated

Any hope fans had that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles would somehow come back for a third season are officially dead. The FOX upfront presentation where the network revealed its 2009-2010 schedule didn't include Terminator, and now there's no chance of it coming back.

The show's ratings weren't much worse than those of the other Friday night sci-fi series, Dollhouse, which got picked up, but still, there's apparently only room for one poorly-rated sci--fi series with a diehard fan base.

'Terminator' Season Finale Airs Tonight

On tonight’s Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles season finale, it’s what you may call judgment day, as the Connors will finally come face to face with the CEO of ZeiraCorp as well as the shape-shifting terminator, (Shirley Manson) Catherine Weaver. The promo promised the confrontation would “shake John (Thomas Dekker) to the core and change his reality forever.”

Elsewhere on the episode called “Born to Run,” Ellis (Richard T. Jones) will guide Weaver to the family and a priest, Father Armando Bonilla (guest star Carlos Sanz), will be involved in the Connors side. Unconfirmed spoilers have also hinted that a major character, a male, will be killed off in the finale, while a woman in John's life will leave him and another betray him.

Fans of The Big Bang Theory have another reason to celebrate aside from the fact the series scored its best ratings ever earlier this month. Summer Glau, who currently stars as the sexy Cameron Phillips on the FOX science fiction series Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, will soon be rubbing elbows with our nerdy friends at CBS' The Big Bang Theory.

This may seem like an odd traverse given that Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles airs on FOX while The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS. On the other hand, both shows are produced by Warner Bros and thus, the cheeky crossover came about.

“I can't believe he's teething,” says Kiefer Sutherland.

The elevator at the Palomar Hotel in Los Angeles ascends quickly to the 16th floor. I stand, staring unapologetically, as Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub stand next to me and talk. Well, perhaps that's not accurate – Kiefer does the talking, complimenting various aspects of Rajskub's status as a new mother (hence the above quote), while Mary Lynn embraces Kiefer from behind, exuding a silent affection for TV's Jack Bauer that could, in no way, be construed as disingenuous. Kiefer is well under six feet tall and has a voice like a rock quarry, all gravel and dust. Despite his DUIs and past transgressions, Kiefer seems like a kind, intelligent, normal guy who ended up famous for probably every reason other than the fact he desired it. You get the sense that he never wanted the fame he holds, and would rather have a beer with a local townie than a martini with a Hollywood executive. Mary Lynn Rajskub the Actress is almost unrecognizable juxtaposed to Chloe O'Brian the Character. The actress is skinny, charmingly disheveled, and has smiled more in the last thirty seconds than Chloe has on all of her 24 seasons combined. The elevator bell dings, the 16th floor opens before us, Kiefer Sutherland gets out of my way, and I head to my room.

TV's Most Unique Families

Simon Furman Gives Fans More 'Terminator'

These cyborgs would kill for your attention, even though it's so easy to notice them anyway. It's doubtless that these man-made machines are set to take over the entertainment industry. There's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles on the small screen, and a Christian Bale-starring Terminator: Salvation in cinemas soon. Another aspect of the business will also be targeted by the Terminator universe, and that is the field of comic books.

A five-issue series called Terminator: Revolution will be released this December by Dynamite Entertainment. Written by Simon Furman and illustrated by Lui Antonio, Revolution will indeed revolutionize the way fans look at the Connors. It takes the readers to the year 2015, following Furman's Terminator: Infinity miniseries.

Remember Brian Austin Green from Beverly Hills 90210? Or, further back, Knots Landing? No? How about on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles? Yes? There, we finally have something.

His many television gigs are, in a way, a testament to Green’s experience in acting. He’s been around for quite a while, obviously, starting his career as a child and literally growing up before our very eyes. Now, the 35-year-old actor, who plays time-shifting father figure Derek Reese in the Terminator television series, can say he’s really learned a lot from his years working.

After using up multiple episodes' worth of budget (this is speculative) on last week's action packed episode, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles returned tonight with a far more subdued, meditative affair. Guest star Richard Schiff put some great work in as a mysterious man from the future who Jessie corralled early in the episode. Terminator laid off the gas tonight, and it felt right. Decompression was necessary, and there was aftermath to be waded through. While not terribly exciting and relentlessly dark, audiences found themselves watching another captivating episode of Terminator, which is proving itself to be a long, on-going mythology based series, as opposed to the terminator-of-the-week scenario many envisioned at the show's outset.

'Terminator' Producers Discuss Monday's Episode, Show's Future

After Monday's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, show runner Josh Friedman and some of his crew held a live chat with fans and TV critics. There wasn't terribly much in big news or spoilers, but there were a few interesting tidbits here and there. Monday's episode was one of best of the series thus far, and was as close as TV gets to airing an action movie. Though the future of Terminator seems bleak after last week's announcement that come 2009, Terminator will be moving to the death slot on Friday nights, Friedman and crew remain upbeat. Battlestar Galactica thrived on Friday nights, and it's not impossible to succeed on any night. However, Terminator has received poor ratings everywhere it's been, and the smart money's on continued poor ratings once the move is made to Friday nights.

Tonight's episode of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles felt like the third act of an action movie. This is a compliment. The episode is the reason why loyal viewers have kept watching Terminator. I feel rewarded. In last week's episode of Terminator, Cromartie was hot on the Connors' trail. He's been searching for some time, and though it appeared to be coming to a head, the swiftness with which Cromartie appeared tonight was wholly unexpected, though not unwelcome. Fans will likely be discussing the narrative structure of tonight's episode, which took a cue from Pulp Fiction/The Rules of Attraction, though it wasn't as pronounced as the title cards may have led us to believe.
