Gotta say I am loving FOX for allowing the current crop of season 6 dancers to Tweet while they are still in the competition. With a season and stage that has made emotional connections difficult, much of my fondness and feel for the dancers have come from their 140 character quips.

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Kevin Hunte the latest dancer to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance.

Mollee Gray Struck By The Season 6 Injury Curse

Seems like the injury curse has moved from Dancing with the Stars to So You Think You Can Dance. First it was Billy Bell's bloody nose, then Pauline Mata's yucky ankle injury, then Billy Bell's mystery illness, Noelle's knee injury, last week Victor Smalley required 5 stitches after partner Channing Cooke "pecked' him too hard, and now we have word that Mollee Gray has been injured.

The bubbly teenager just tweeted that she's been the latest to fall victim to the curse. See for yourself:

This morning I had the pleasure of speaking with Channing Cooke, the latest dancer to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance. I'm no psychologist, but based on Channing's tone and short answers, it would seem she's just as upset and confused about her elimination last night as the rest of us are.

Seems like I'm not the only one who was upset and left scratching their head after the elimination of Channing Cooke last night. Not only are you guys outraged and confused in our comments and twitter, so are Channing's fellow season 6 dancers.

After her elimination the dancers of season 6 took to their Twitters to share their love for Channing, while new permanent judge Adam Shankman took to the Twitter to defend the judge's elimination. Take a look for yourself:

It's the most dreaded day of the week, elimination day. It's hard to believe that after tonight we'll only be one elimination away from the top 10. Sadly, season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance is zooming by without any consequence or great excitement. Remember what Thursday's last season felt like at this point? Like anyone we lost would be terrible? Do any of you honestly feel that about season 6?

However we do or don't feel, we'll be losing two dancers tonight. Based on your predictions, it seems clear who the guy will be....but we'll have to wait to see which lady will be leaving us. So You Think You Can Dance: Top 14, Who's Going Home?

It's time to shed two more dancers, and if you guys are to believed, it is clear who is going home tonight. (I'm not sure any contestant in the history of these Who's Going Home has ever been so resoundingly called out.)

That being said, the question still remains: Will popularity or performance prevail? We're not sure, but you've given us some strong hints based on how you voted in last night's polls and who you've picked for elimination for Fantasy TV.

It's top 14 time and frankly top 14, it's time to wow me, America and the judges. I know the Top 14 has it in them. We've been told for months that they are the most talented crop of dancers the show has ever had, we saw a clip of Mia Michaels saying that "season 6 is going to blow season 5 out of the water" more times than we can count, and tonight it's time to live up to the hype. Based on Travis Wall's tweets, we're hopeful that at least one couple will.

We All Agree: The New 'So You Think You Can Dance' Stage Sucks

While we might not all agree on our favorite dancers or power rankings or on Nigel's critique of Nathan, it seems we all agree on one front: the new So You Think You Can Dance stage sucks.

My piece lamenting the newfangled neon, ginormous, dancer swallowing stage has received the most comments of any So You Think You Can Dance piece this season and over 600 of you have voted in the poll. With 618 votes to date, 91% of you say you hate the new stage. 8% of you say you're ambivalent and only 1%, who I'm pretty sure work for FOX or are actually Nigel Lythgoe, say you love it.

At Least One Routine Tonight Will Be "Omg...Breathtaking!"

Sadly, I think we can all agree that most of this season's choreography and the performances have been a bit lackluster. But fear not fading So You Think You Can Dance fans, season 2 star and the great contemporary choreography hope, Travis Wall promises we are in for a real treat when it comes to his couple's performance tonight. By the looks of his Tweets Travis couldn't be more pleased with his couple (rumored to be Ellenore Scott and Ryan Di Lello) who he describes as "breathtaking" and "perfect."

We're still waiting for that spark from this batch of So You Think You Can Dance finalists. I mean, there are standouts and there are surprises, but we've yet to be wowed--and especially last week, when some dancers exhibited their weaknesses (Mollywood, yes) and the influence of the fans became pretty evident (Mollywood again, yes). Is this week the best time to hope for something wonderful?

Again, through the amazing folks at SYTYCDism, here's what we could see on tonight's performance show. One wrong pick or one bad turn of the foot might mean two dancers lose a shot at the Top 10. Was Nigel Too Harsh On Nathan?

So You Think You Can Dance is no stranger to controversy. This season alone has featured a flasher, the loss of Billy Bell, Noelle's free pass, two weeks of eliminations left solely up to the judges, and that gigantic disaster of a new stage. But none of those events have inflamed the passions of So You Think You Can Dance fans as much as last week's controversy: Nigel's two minute diatribe against Nathan Trasoras and every fan who dialed in for his dimples.

Clearly angry that the decision on who stays and who goes is no longer solely up to him, Nigel gave Nathan the most thorough tongue lashing in the history of So You Think You Can Dance. While I'm apt to agree with what Nigel was trying to say--this is a dance competition and that is clearly not what your fans voted for this week--it was the way that he said it that had everyone so upset.

Nigel Says Sorry...Sort Of

During last week's So You Think You Can Dance results show, head judge Nigel Lythgoe lost all of his British reserve and fastidious manners when the audience booed his harsh critique of tween sweethearts Nathan Trasoras and Mollee Gray. In a moment that reminded us why British TV audiences used to refer to Nigel as "Nasty Nigel," he spun in his judges chair and hissed at the audience to "shut up." Certainly it was not gentlemanly or really, head judge behavior.

Well, Nigel realizes the error of his ways, though even in his twitter apology, he's not fully ready to play nice. Here's what Nigel had to say about his little outburst:

[To better cover the technical talents of season 6, we've brought on Dr. Goddess, a guest columnist with decades of dance experience. She will share her dance-pertise in a weekly column recapping and reviewing So You Think You Can Dance with an eye on technique.]

Public Enemy warned against the trappings of over exaggeration, mischaracterization in their hit song, "Don't Believe the Hype". Audiences have heard so much hype about season 6 being the best-of-the-best that we found ourselves unprepared for the inevitable let down of imperfection. The fact is, there is still much work to be done and this week's So You Think You Can Dance proved it.

It began with Karen Hauer and Kevin Hunte's hustle, choreographed by Maria Torres, included seemingly effortless lifts, sharp spins, death-defying "death drops" (Karen's one-armed drop to the floor into a spin). They looked like they were having fun. Despite Kevin's ridiculous costume, his well-coiffed hair complemented his double pirouettes and excellent grand jetes (leaps). Karen exhibited grace and had excellent lines, so we are all going to ignore their hilarious post-dance dismount.

Janette and Jason Talk Tour Love

Just a couple of days ago I shared the happy news with you that two of our favorite dancers from season 5, Jason Glover and Janette Manrara, had found love off the dance floor.

Now, for the first time, the couple are talking about their love match and how it came to be. It seems after being eliminated the same night the two realized they shared some serious sparks and a day trip to Disneyland confirmed it. But, I don't want to ruin the story, Jason and Janette tell it better than me anyways. See for yourself:

Peter chatted all about the unique position the trio of tappers were in on So You Think You Can Dance and answered the question we've all been wondering, if dancers can learn every other style in a couple of days, can't they learn tap?

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Pauline Mata, the latest girl to be eliminated from So You Think You Can Dance. Pauline fell victim to the quickstep of death and the worst string of luck of any contestant in the history of So You Think You Can Dance. First there was the nasty, stomach turning, oh-my-god-is-that-your-ankle? incident, then her original partner Billy Bell had to drop out of the competition a day and a half before the first performance, she then lost her second partner after that day and a half and was paired with a tapper, the new cursed genre of So You Think You Can Dance.

But, don't feel too bad for Pauline Mata, who had the time of her life on So You Think You Can Dance. The experience has helped her grow as a person and a dance, and she became acquainted with an entirely new genre, "the Wade."

Last night the Top 16 took the stage and almost universally disappointed. As Nigel promised, weaknesses were certainly shown last night, and tonight two dancers will be sent home because of them. It's the first time America has had a chance to vote, so it should be interesting to see who ends up in the bottom tonight. Will it be based on popularity or performance? At least one of the couples who America didn't care for disappoints Nigel Lythgoe.

When It Comes to The New Stage, Nigel is Listening

Maybe that little petition did some good folks, because according to his latest tweet So You Think You Can Dance executive producer and head judge Nigel Lythgoe is listening when it comes to complaints about the new, gigantic, dwarfing, neon hell that is the new stage. However, he's not listening to your complaints about who gets kicked off tonight if you didn't vote.

Finally. For the first time in what has already been a two month long season 6, America finally gets a say in the quest to choose their favorite dancer. Without a doubt, this is a game changer. Judges favorites are not necessarily fan favorites and vice-versa. While we have an inkling of an idea who is popular based on your comments, tweets, and votes; we we also know that some of those favorites stumbled in a major way last night. So, it is safe to say who will stay and who will go tonight, seems a bit of a toss up.

It's time for the top 16 dancers to take the stage and it is FINALLY time for America to have a say in who will be crowned America's Favorite Dancer. In my opinion, that means the competition really gets started tonight. You never know who America is going to love or hate and we'll finally have an inking about what couple has captured America's heart and claimed their dialing finger. Beyond finally voting, I'm eagerly awaiting being completely wowed by a performance tonight, because it just hasn't happened yet. (Then again, I half blame the stage.)

America Votes Tonight, Nigel is Nervous

After two weeks of judges' choice, America finally gets to vote for their favorite dancers on So You Think You Can Dance tonight. While we are all eager to finally have a say in a competition that claims to be about finding America's favorite (not the judges) dancer, head judge Nigel Lythgoe sounds a wee bit trepidatious about sharing the decision with the voting public.

Nigel took to his Twitter this morning to talk about America voting, saying "hopefully it helps us." He also says "weaknesses" were shown this week, which makes me eager to see what untouchable golden dancer goofs tonight. He says the results should be interesting, but I think he really means "terrifying for one of my personal favorites." But don't take my recounting of the Tweet, see if for yourself.

People's Choice Award Nominees: 'True Blood,' 'Gossip Girl' and the Usual Suspects

This morning the People's Choice Award nominations were revealed, and as always, it's populism at its best. On the TV side, the nominees often look like the top of the Nielsen ratings list, with a few notable and surprising exceptions. Shows like True Blood and Gossip Girl crept into the Favorite TV Actress categories while Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show features Lost, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.

However, those are the very cool exceptions. For the most part, the list is full of CSI, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men and other top-rated shows. Here are the major television nominees for this year's People's Choice Awards.
