The 26 guys and girls who slugged it out in New Zealand will have yet another go at each other again, but this time they'd be in a room but seem that they're not, judging from the kind of things they will say about each other. Yes, it's the episode in the MTV reality universe that in the past have included thrown shoes. The Real World/Road Rules Challenge Reunion Special will air tonight 10pm on MTV. A particular point of interest will be Landon, who might or might not get some vindication after the big screw-up in the finale.

The Duel II is the 17th run of the MTV television series Real World/Road Rules Challenge, which is the sequel of The Duel. The season took place in Queenstown, New Zealand with former cast members from The Real World and Road Rules competing with several cast members from the Fresh Meat challenge. From its April 8 premiere, the season is set to conclude with tonight's reunion show.

The Real World has wrapped up yet another season. Last night, fans witnessed the roommates go head-to-head as pranks were taken too far. While this nearly destroyed the bond between the girls and the guys, the Brooklyn cast ultimately learned to love and hate each other while pursuing their lifelong dreams. But the emotion, excitement and suspense didn’t end there as viewers were also treated with a Brooklyn Reunion Special, in which the cast gathered for a full update of the season.

The Real World: Brooklyn cast included Chet Cannon, Ryan Conklin, Scott Herman, J.D. Ordonez, Sarah Rice, Devyn Simone, Baya Voce and Katelynn Cusanelli, the first transwoman on the series.

Ugh, if I was Evelyn, I would be so pissed! I don't blame her for her defensive and aggressive attitude this season on Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island. Well, she's always defensive and aggressive but that's not the point. Nobody will let this girl get a key or get in on a face-off! In a sense, I see their point. I'd be scared of her, too. She's a force to be reckoned with in physical competitions and can hold her own with just about any male contestant in the game. Still, it just doesn't seem fair that if the cast doesn't like one or two people, they can keep them from getting a key, which is the only way to get to the final challenge. The rules of The Island are in favor of alliances, not in individual players. Like Paula said last night, though, "This game isn't fair." You're not kidding!

Last week on Real World/Road Rules, The Island, we saw how Abe desperately wanted to get voted off because of a phone call that told him his business was in grave danger. Dave on the other hand, whined more about going home because he missed some important people in his life. We guess that his story was more believable than Abe’s, so he was sent home, but he clearly asked the producers to give him a call if they were still interested in casting him for another season.

Recently, Dave blogged about his departure, spilling some thoughts on the challenges, his castmates and his experience on the island.

Clearly, the production team on The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island was hoping to stir up a little drama and they got more than they bargained for, with not one, but two players requesting to leave soon after. Let's backup, though...

Abe had a rough episode last night. While trying to get some food, or whatever the heck he was doing climbing that giant tree with Dunbar, he was attacked by a swarm of wasps. Things only got worse when he got his hands on that damn cell phone.

Real World/Road Rules: Has MTV Gone Too Far?

Last week, Real World/Road Rules premiered with 20 cast members being shipped off to Bocas del Toro in Panama, where they will all be forced to soak up the sun. There’s nothing but nature to surround the 20 contestants who will hopefully find this new setting a little bit more romantic than the usual candle lights and indoor dinners. (Although, of course, the alcohol is still free flowing. This is MTV, after all!) MTV added that this time, there will be no challenges. So what will the new season bring?

Controversies, of course. In fact, recently a lot of environmentalists have been criticizing MTV for being quite hypocritical about their Switch campaign, as MTV themselves have left quite a big mess in Cocas del Toro, Panama following their filming of the latest season of Real World/Road Rules: The Island.

So let me get this straight, MTV. You want to change all of the rules of these Real World/Road Rules challenges. There will be no teams and no challenges. It's every man and woman for themselves. There won't be a pimped out house, stocked with food. The players will have to ration everything and will only receive air drops of food and supplies every so often. You want to change the game entirely and you expect me to like it? Well, MTV, you took a risk. A risk that paid off. Never have I been happier to see a bunch of spoiled, spotlight hogging reality contestants have to rough it on their own. Of course, they were still given alcohol, which was lame, but how else do you expect to get Kenny and Johanna to get it on in front of everyone?

Real World/Road Rules Challenge Premieres in Shark-Infested Waters

The 16th season of Real World / Road Rules Challenge premieres tonight 10pm on MTV. According to teasers, the contestants, 20 Real Worlders and Road Rulers are dropped off into shark-infested waters in Panama, the southernmost country of Central America that connects North and South America.

The Real World / Road Rules Challenge cast members will face off in Cocas del Toro, yet in an unexpected turn of events, MTV is promising that this season will be different - no free-flowing alcohol at will, no cushy house, and no challenges “that call for sneaky alliances,” which, on all accounts, have been quite the main attraction / turnoff (whichever way you look at it) of The Real World / Road Rules Challenge. Looks like things might turn into something akin to a booze-laden edition of Survivor.

As The Real World rolls on, the casts start to blend together, I can't remember who lived in what city, and every episode seems to be about drunk fighting or drunk hooking up. I was always partial to Road Rules but their most recent season, Viewers Revenge, was absolutely the worst. Some things get worse over time but some things only get better with age and for me, it's those challenges between former Real World and Road Rules cast members. MTV is unveiling its newest season, The Island, next week and based on the preview video, it looks to be the most awesome season yet.

In last week's final challenge, the Rookies emerged as the winner, receiving a check for $300,000, which is split into six equal shares among its remaining members, consisting of Frank Roessler, Jillian Zoboroski, Johanna Botta, Nehemiah Clark, Rachel Moyal, and Tori Hall.

The Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet III will be wrapping up the season tonight at 10pm on MTV. After a series of team challenges and elimination rounds that put the Veterans against the Rookies, the competition reaches its pinnacle with the 16th and final challenge.

For those who are not familiar, The Gauntlet III is a competitive reality series that takes place in Nayarit, Mexico. It features the Veterans, players who had been on Real World/Road Rules Challenge at least two prior seasons, and the Rookies, players who had been on fewer than two seasons prior to The Gauntlet III, as they compete for minor prizes and in the final challenge, the grand prize of $300,000, which is split among the remaining members of the winning team.

Although he has never appeared on either The Real World or Road Rules, he has taken part in several Real World/ Road Rules Challenges, particularly Fresh Meat, where he was paired with fellow Gauntlet III contestant Coral, and The Duel. Those who think that Starkman has already had his fill of the show can think again, as he is having too much fun traveling to exotic locations and doing not-so-run-of-the-mill challenges.

"I treat the challenges with this mentality: if I ever had something better to be doing, I'd be doing it," he told dose.ca. "They're a lot of fun, you know; it's a free vacation. Johnny Devenanzio Left 'Gauntlet III' with "Dignity Intact"

Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio was the latest cast member cut from Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Gauntlet III, and although he had planned to stay in the competition for a longer period of time, he says his “premature” exit allowed him to leave the show a dignified person.

“Although my departure was much more premature than I had originally planned, it was the only path I could take that would allow me to leave with my dignity intact,” Devenanzio wrote on his iamonmtv personality blog. “I have my own set of rules that define the integrity and credibility of who I am and how I compete, and these were qualities this Veteran squad didn't seem to possess. After sitting through the nauseating final deliberation, and watching team mates, friends, and supposed allies fold like spineless cowards, I knew that my time here had expired.”

'Gauntlet III' Cast Member Competing in Miss Peru Pageant

Frank Roessler Talks About Hooking Up on 'The Gauntlet III'

Former 'Real World' Cast Members Return for 'The Gauntlet 3'

I admit it. I live for the MTV challenges. I want it all: The Duel, Fresh Meat, The Inferno, and especially, The Gauntlet. Later this month, The Gauntlet returns with 32 people competing for the grand prize. The trailer went up on MTV.com this week and it looks like bigger and badder than ever.
