According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 50-year-old actor has now been upped to series regular.

As previously reported, Knepper has signed on to play Samuel, previous referred to as the "Carnival Barker" in previous releases. Kellerman returns and gets everyone out of their loopholes--well, all but T-Bag, who was imprisoned for everything he's done. Four years later, Mahone's got a new wife, and Sara's given birth to her son. And Michael, as we all know, died. We should also remember that there is a feature-length episode, "The Final Break", that will be released on DVD in July, and it will explain everything that happened in those four years, including Michael's death. The catch is, that one's been leaked online.

Well, not exactly. "The Final Break" was, surprisingly, aired in other countries. Originally composed of two episodes--"The Odd Ball and Chain" and "Free"--it was first aired in Israel, which was the version that leaked, and will be aired in the UK tonight. For obvious purposes I shall talk about what happened in those episodes, although I won't leak as many details, because technically we already know what happened. But that won't stop me from posting this warning: there are possible spoilers up ahead, so unless you've seen it or are planning to buy the DVD, skip this part now!

Sure, I understand that it's not exactly a happy ending--especially if you've been waiting for the moment to see him just live a happy life with Sara and Linc and the rest--but, if you trust the show's executive producer Matt Olmstead, it is a happy ending. Okay, start grappling with what they say and what you saw.

So, why did they have to kill him? Olmstead says Wentworth Miller's partly to blame for it. Or, at least, that's how it sounds to me. "He brought up a good point: His character's hands are as dirty as anyone's," the producer said. "When they rattled the cage of the company that was after them, the body count started to pile out. And Michael was aware of this. And we've addressed his guilt throughout the show. But at a certain point, it felt nobler to have the character die so that others could live. ... [Having him die] balanced the books for us."

Prison Break: Series Finale Recap (Page 1/5)

This season on Prison Break, Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) have been on the search for Scylla, the one all encompassing Company document that they can use to secure their freedom. Lincoln got caught up trying to make a deal with the Company and ended up working for them. Michael and Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) struck out on their own pitting brother against brother. Michael and Lincoln's mother, Christina comes into the picture but later reveals that Michael and Lincoln aren't related - Michael is her only son. Christina sets up a plan to assassinate the Prime Minister of India's son and blame Lincoln and the Chinese for the murder. Now that tensions between India and China are running high, Christina planned to play the two countries off of one another to get the highest price for Scylla and all it's military technology. Unfortunately for her, Michael and Lincoln steal the Scylla briefcase from her just before her plan was completely. Michael runs away with the case, the General and T-Bag (Robert Knepper) capture Sara while Christina captures Lincoln and both parties want Michael to turn over the briefcase. Who will he choose? The Love of his Life or Lincoln, his supposed brother and the man he's spent the last couple of years trying to save?

Farewell, 'Prison Break': Series Finale Airs Tonight

So, it's the end of the road for us, Michael and Lincoln. I honestly didn't expect it to last this long, but we've had a pretty good run--many ups and downs, many surprises, many flips, many deaths, and everything else in between.

But really, now. Who would've thought that Prison Break would last four seasons? It is, after all, initially the story of a man who intentionally gets himself imprisoned so that he can break his wrongfully-accused brother out. Unless they wanted Michael to attempt breaking out for four seasons, which would be ridiculous, this show was good for, say, a season or so.

Prison Break: Series Finale Spoilers--Is Michael Really Going To Die?

The two-hour Prison Break finale is just right there--this Friday already?--and there's still a lot of questions raised, especially with the episode that aired last week. Lincoln's shot, Sara's in captivity, and Michael's got to choose between the two. And we all know the finale won't give happy endings to at least two people.

So, what exactly? I fear I don't have answers, but there are some clues as to what might happen. Which means this--the next paragraphs contain spoilers. Consider that a warning.

Prison Break: Episode 4.20 "Cowboys and Indians" Recap

Last week on Prison Break, Michael and Sara capture and interrogate Christina but she flips their plan on its head and escapes. Oh, and yeah, she told Michael that him and Lincoln aren't related. The General gives Licoln one day to give get Scylla and when he returns with it, he's told T-Bag to kill him. An assassination is now on Lincoln's head and it looks like he's wanted for a high profile murder again. We're back to the beginning.

This week on Prison Break, Lincoln picks up the sniper gun to shot open the door so that him and Michael can escape. Great, now his fingerprints are on the gun too. Mahone and Self wait outside for Lincoln and discuss the General's plans to kill them and their loved ones if they don't come up with Scylla. Michael calls Mahone and asks for his help. Mahone's freaking out so Don takes the phone. Michael obviously doesn't want to talk to Self but Self gives him the details on how to get out. Michael and Lincoln have a "talk like this" conversation where Michael tells Lincoln that if they make it to the roof, they can make it to the laundry room and then outside. Michael tells Mahone to go get Christina and Sara and make Christina tell him where Scylla is.

Prison Break: Previewing Episode 4.20 "Cowboys and Indians"

Aha! So it is the case. Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) are not brothers. Four years of keeping this up, huh? Nah, I'm not taking it against anybody. It just felt that the development should come out of Prison Break at one point or another, although you can just take note of their close bond and their very distinct differences. Two literal prison breaks, one elaborate get-away-from-the-authorities plan, and then the hunt for Scylla. All for this.

So that explains why Christina (Kathleen Quinlan) doesn't exactly feel much for Linc. All that treatment, all those cryptic phone calls, even that attempt to kill him with a clean sniper shot--I never would've guessed he was part of the plan, as the unwitting fall guy. Catch is, he's somehow figured it out--with his, uhh, "brother" Michael figuring it out for him. That should set up the last three episodes, although the final two are clumped together into a two-hour package next week.

Prison Break: Episode 4.19 "S.O.B" Recap
Michael calls Lincoln and tells him about the guy at the airport that he's a scientist, Lincoln tells Michael to leave town. Down by the boat docks Sara and Michael have Vandinsky's phone and call Christina Schofield to demand Scylla and during the call Christina tracks down Michael's location as he knew she would.

Back at the loft, Lincoln, Mahone, Self and T-Bag continue to question Vandinsky but are getting nowhere. Lincoln is about to kill him when the general walks in and stops him. Vandinsky admits to the General he was working with Christina so he knows that the boys knew and didn't yet tell him. Lincoln argues that they just found out and were working on it and getting the correct info before calling him, and the General threatens to kill them all. Vandinsky finally gives up the location of Christina's hotel and Mahone realizes that T-Bag gave up the details to the General when the he is ready to kill them all but T-Bag.

Christina follows Michael's signal from the phone call and arrives at the warehouse. While they search the warehouse Michael goes out to plant something in the a/c vent of the car. Sara drives around the parking lot to cause Christina and her goons to run outside and follow thinking it was Michael leaving, they get into the car and when it starts the vents let out a bunch of dust causing them to stat choking and exit the car. Making some great team work, Sara comes back around to meet Michael and they grab Christina and put her in the trunk.

Christina wakes up in a hotel room with Michael and he asks her where Scylla is? Instead of answering his question she tells how she has waited 25 years to see him. They discuss Lincoln working for the General and they both agree they don't want to see Scylla go back to The Company. Michael attempts to make a deal if she would just give up Scylla, but Christina is not having it and instead begins to tell Michael how he and her are very much alike. She reveals they have the same "condition" where they can see how things work and how she knows he feels much better after the surgery he had. Michael tells her she is running out of time and she needs to tell him where Scylla is.

Lincoln, Mahone and Self take off in search of Christina at her hotel. Mahone freaks out and starts throwing things all over the room when he realizes they are not the first ones there as the room was already searched. While throwing things around they find a rental receipt for a mini-van and a few other items that seem to be important. However after everything they have been through in the past few seasons, they do not seem to realize they are leaving their finger prints all over the room - come on now boys you should know better than this by now!

Back at the loft, Vandinsky tells the General that Christina wanted him to speak at the Energy Conference and the General tells him that her motive is all about money. Lincoln calls the General and asks what the letters DMB (Dave Matthews Band?) stand for? The General has his guys threaten to kill Vandinsky again to get the details out of him... turns out DMB does not stand for Dave Matthews Band and is an abbreviation for Dade Miami Bank and Vandinsky gives up further details that Christina has another hotel near there.

Sara convinces Michael to let her talk with Christina as she will have a bit more perspective considering she wasn't the one who was abandoned 25 years ago and Michael agrees. Christina begins to tell Sara things about the baby and that she can tell Sara is pregnant by the way she is protecting herself. Christina then tries to explain to Sara why she has done the things she has done and Sara tells Christina that there is no way she can justify anything she has done, trying to change the subject from the baby. Christina indicates she can tell that Michael does not yet know about the baby and that Sara should tell him the news. Sara walks out to talk to Michael and tells him she didn't find out anything.

Lincoln, Self and Mahone go to the bank looking for safe deposit box 6468. Mahone tries to pretend it is a matter of National Security and demands access to the box. While they are there we are shown a shot of Lincoln on the security camera... I suspect this will come into play later. The bank manager finally tells them the safe deposit box was just accessed 1 minute ago by the man with the silver suitcase. Lincoln catches on that the guy from the embassy was walking out to the car with the silver suitcase and the boys begin to follow. As the man gets in the car to drive off he receives a call from a man who says if he does not talk to Christina by 5pm the deal is off!

Back at the hotel, Michael attempts to talk to Christina again about Scylla and this time she tries to convince him how different he and Lincoln are... different eye colors, different tempers, different intelligence. She tells Michael that Lincoln is NOT his brother (as if we didn't see that one coming!) She goes on to tell Michael that she should have told him sooner about this and points how he has never seen any photos of Lincoln as a baby. Apparently when Lincoln was about 3 years old Michael's dad adopted him because his parents had worked for the company and they were killed, he felt bad and took the boy in. Christina says that he never asked her how she felt about it and she has always distance herself from him because of this. Michael tells her that he has his reasons why he broke Lincoln out of jail and that he was more of a brother to him then she was a mother (ouch! hows that for a burn) She then tells Michael that Lincoln is in trouble again like always and once again he is going to get him out of it wasting his life. Michael tries to call Lincoln to warn him but he does not answer so he demands that Christina tell him where he is! When she refuses, he drags her across the floor and into the bathroom where he starts running water (a silent threat to drown her) as Sara watches from around the corner. Christina finally confesses the location and sends Michael after Lincoln while Sara stays to keep an eye on her locking her in the bathroom so she can say good bye to Michael. While Christina is in the bathroom we see her start to look around in true Michael fashion as she focuses on some dental floss and the door stop on the wall.

Back at the loft, the General tells T-Bag he will be rewarded if all goes according to plan but he must pass the final exam first and of course that would involve killing Lincoln once they have Scylla in their hands! T-Bag then gets a list of all of the scientists speaking at the energy conference for the General who recognizes some of the names on the list and begins to realize what Christina may be up to - he insists that this will all be over by the end of the day.

Christina rigs the bathroom with the dental floss and attaches it to the doorknob and door stop. She makes a noise so Sara will come in to check on her, Sara opens the door and they have a brief discussion where she tells Sara she had better stay out of the bars as she has friends from AA and although they are not tied to the company they are still friends who will relay the details to her. She asks Sara to keep the door open; knowing that Sara will close it and when the door gets closed the doorstop is ripped off the wall just as Christina had hoped it would be.

Michael attempts to call Lincoln again and of course he does not pick up as they are chasing the decoy with the silver suitcase who is leading them back to the hotel where the Energy Conference will be held.

Christina escapes from the tape to free her hands and feet, and makes another noise so Sara will come back into the bathroom to check on her. As Sara enters the bathroom, Christina grabs the gun and threatens to kill them both (her and the baby) if she makes a move. She then ties up Sara while holding the gun to her head, Sara tells her Michael will never forgive her for this and she tells Sara that's he does not know Michael as well as she thinks she does. Instead of killing Sara she leaves her tied up and alive for Michael to come back and find her. Christina then calls Naveen, a scientist speaking at the conference, to discuss their plans. Naveen wants to talk to Vandinsky about the conference so Christina tells him that there was a horrible car accident and he had to fly out to be with his wife. Naveen tells her that since the plans changed she will get $1 million in exploratory research grants and there will be more to come after the deal is finalized.

Lincoln and the buys are still in pursuit of the decoy with the silver suitcase who led them to the hotel, once reaching the hotel they find the mini-van and discover it was rented in Lincoln's name, the van is running and has passports left in the glove box - Mahone knows it's a setup but Lincoln already took off heading into the hotel following the decoy. We then get a shot of Michael arriving at the same hotel, still looking for Lincoln.

The General is still back at the loft and sees some news coverage about the energy conference and realizes further what Christina's plan must be; at that point he orders T-Bag to kill Vandinsky as a test of loyalty.

Back at the hotel, Lincoln is hot on the trail of the guy with the silver suitcase and is following him through the conference. When he reaches the top of the stairs the man slips into an elevator and what appears to be a room service attendant exits the elevator. The attendant then pulls out a gun and takes a shot at Naveen while he was giving his speech shooting him in the chest. At this point Lincoln realizes it is setup and he had followed the trail directly to where they wanted him to be; everyone in the conference starts to panic and Michael walks in seeing Lincoln at the top of the stairs. He runs up to get him out of there.

The episode ends with Christina getting in the car with the man with the silver suitcase who says that everything went according to plan, the bank manager has a nice shot of Lincoln on the security cameras from the bank and combined with Lincoln's prints being on the bullet that was dropped at the scene there should not be any question to his guilt.

Prison Break: Previewing Episode 4.19 "S.O.B."

<img alt="Prison Break" src="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/20090430-prisonbreak.jpg" class="mt-image-right" style="margin: 0pt 0pt 20px 20px; He's the deviator. He's the exasperated guy who gets taken in but never gets to do anything much, perhaps apart from making a fool of himself ("save the elephants!"). And, in what I'm guessing is another attempt at greatness, this.

So how exactly will his admission that Christina (Kathleen Quinlan) does hold Scylla shape the remaining episodes of Prison Break up? Splinters, splinters. I'm guessing T-Bag will go the way of the Company--admit it, it's bound to happen!--and that Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) and Mahone (William Fichtner) will ultimately side with Michael (Wentworth Miller). It won't be easy, though. Mother's still out to do things her way, and I guess that means leaking the technology Scylla holds to the world, and perhaps killing people along the way.

I'll be honest again--I don't have any opinion on what should happen to him once the series wraps up next month.

It was no consolation, actually, to hear Robert Knepper not give any assurances about the fate of his character on the show. But of course, he wouldn't reveal it--he's a major character, after all. So I guess that means he'll be there until the very end. To make matters more complicated, he was bent on using achingly general terms for his character's fate.

float: left;" width="298" height="199" />
Prison Break is coming to an end and there are only three episodes left. We put together a list of the top thirty Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) moments over the past four seasons. Evidently, some people think that our list is out of order. So, we wanted to give everyone the opportunity to voice their own opinion. Flip through the slideshow below and then at the end, rearrange the slides so that they are to your liking. In a couple weeks, we'll re-release the list with the consensus order as well as any moments you think we forgot and any moments that happen in the next few episodes.

For instance, the moment where Sara tells Michael that she's pregnant could be a winner and might have to be added to the top 5. I guess that'll depend on how he reacts. Also, some people loved our descriptions of the moments but some thought we left some crucial details out. Comment below the slideshow or in this article to give us your own take on MiSa.

Prison Break: Episode 4.18 "VS" Recap (Page 1/2)

Last week on Prison Break, Michael and Sara make their way to Miami after being given a code by a potential Company assassin who turned out to be working for Michael's mother, Christina. Lincoln went off to meet Christina but she gave a sniper the okay to shoot him in the head. We pick right up where we left off...

Lincoln, obviously escapes the sniper and his band of misfits chase the sniper down. Well, he dies before he can give them anything useful and Lincoln knows it'll upset The General. Meanwhile, just to show you what could happen to Linc and the boys if Kranz gets really upset, Kranz brings in Stewart and then has him tortured when he won't reveal who has Scylla. Right afterwards, the general demands answers from Lincoln within 24 hours. After Lincoln hangs up, T-Bag asks him why they aren't just turning in Christina. Obviously, Lincoln has an emotional freak out disguised as a violent power trip and then Mahone calms things down by telling the group they might be killed the second they reveal Scylla's whereabouts.

Prison Break: Previewing Episode 4.18 "Vs."

Slowly, ever so slowly, we're getting a slightly better idea of what exactly Christina Scofield is up to. Then again, I blame the four month gap for my confused look which watching Prison Break's return last week--I think I did a handful of readings after the episode aired just to get back in the loop. So we're still out for the Scylla, then. Or something else--control of the Company? Again, I blame my attention span.

Now that she's in the picture, everything's been thrown into disarray. Linc's suddenly a little confused as to what he should exactly do--follow the General and recover the Scylla so he can be free, or follow his "mother" (I'm considering his opinion of her, by the way) and lay low until things get swinging and he can be free. Mahone's a little torn in the middle too. Self and T-Bag are, well, not so. Perhaps a little surprised, but they're the guys who want a cut no matter what. I should get used to that idea again.
Prison Break: Episode 4.17 "The Mother Lode" Recap (Page 1/5)

<img alt="pb-return.jpg" src="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/pb-return.jpg" class="mt-image-left" style="margin: 0pt 20px 20px 0pt; Sara rescued Michael from his Company brainwashing.

It's been a while, so let's take some time to remember a few important things about Prison Break. Don Self and T-Bag are the comic relief, Mahone is a total bad-ass, Sucre outlived his usefulness a long time ago, Lincoln is indestructible and Michael is pretty. As for the ladies, Sara came back from the dead more determined than ever while Gretchen double-crossed about 47 alliances in the first 16 episodes of the season.
'Prison Break' Returns Tonight

Four months. Well, roughly four months. Anyway, four months of waiting is finally over. I know, it's an unusually long time between new episodes of a certain series (except, of course, if the season just ended--we can wait that long) but in the case of Prison Break, well, it feels a little weirder. We didn't exactly have a cliffhanger, when Michael (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln's (Dominic Purcell) mother came from out of nowhere and became a player in the game. But the imminent future is clear: what we have in our hands are the last five episodes of Prison Break. While some may not want it to end, some would want to see it end nicely as soon as possible. Me included.

The thing with the four-month wait, however, is that I'll have to find my place in the series again. I somehow remember what happened over the last 16 episodes, thankfully. In their search for Scylla, and ultimately the means to take down the Company, the group got blindsided by a handful of betrayals. And a death. And their bodies--sure, Michael's tumor was the main story, but I can't forget the moment when Sucre (Amaury Nolasco) hesitated to step off the bomb, or whatever that is.
