It's frustrating to know that there won't be a new episode of One Tree Hill next week since The CW will re-air the season 7 opener "4:30am (Apparently They Were Traveling Abroad)" in which Nathan learns of a shocking scandal that could threaten his career while Haley's sister Quinn makes a surprise visit as Jamie celebrates his 7th birthday. But the week after that, we'll be treated with an episode jam-packed with juicy drama and revelations, making it all worth the wait.

As part of Rachel's sinister scheme to bring in ratings on Dan's TV program, Rachel plans a live broadcast right from the school hallway where Dan murdered his brother Keith and where one of Rachel's classmates committed suicide. The idea, which Rachel claims is her way of finally coming to terms with the choices they made that day, is riveting, intriguing and disturbing all at the same time.

The CW Shuffles Monday Schedule for 2010

Life is about to get very unexpected for fans of the CW's Monday lineup in 2010 with a daring and original new scheduling approach that will squeeze three shows into two time slots. One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl and the new drama Life Unexpected will all air Monday nights in 2010, ensuring no repeats.

The new schedule is a bit complicated, so fans may want to start marking their calendars. Starting January 18, One Tree Hill will return with new episodes at 8pm while the fantastic new series Life Unexpected (starring Dawson's Creek star Kerr Smith and Roswell's Shiri Appleby) will premiere at 9pm. That duo will run for seven weeks, and then starting March 8, Life Unexpected will move to 8pm and Gossip Girl will return at 9pm.

Continuing the streak of great One Tree Hill episodes this season, the show used Dan Scott's TV interview with Renee to look back at the pasts of the new and old characters to see how everyone got to where they are.

We saw Clay's passionate relationship with Sarah, Quinn's marriage to David, the night Renee met Nathan and even a walk down memory lane for Brooke and Julian. It was a fantastic episode that saw the show's highest ratings for the season, and a lot of the credit goes to James Lafferty, who directed it.

This season, however, the core couple of the show has found themselves in the most challenging scandal yet. And it definitely takes a chunk in Naley's supposedly rock solid marriage.

According to Nathan's portrayer, James Lafferty, though, "the audience can be looking for an answer pretty soon." So did Nathan really cheat with Renee? Lafferty doesn't say so but he does reveal how he wants his storyline to end.

8 Possible Future CW Shows

While the CW only has eight shows on TV right now, the network is working hard to find the next popular series by developing shows for pilot season. Traditionally, networks start out with a large number of shows in development, then some will get made into pilots, then the network will choose some of those to add to its schedule for Fall 2010.

When we last saw One Tree Hill, Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) was sent to jail for hitting the woman claiming to be the mom of Nathan's (James Lafferty) illegitimate love child. The traditional Nielsen ratings might say that shows like NCIS and Grey's Anatomy are on top, but when it comes to younger audiences and non-traditional ways of watching TV, the CW is way out in front.

The official premiere week for television was the week of Monday, September 21, and while the CW's shows had mostly premiered by then, they were still lumped together at the top of the DVR ratings report when the final +7 numbers came in. If you're new to ratings analysis, DVR +7 refers to the numbers of times a show was watched on DVR within seven days after it originally aired.
