We haven't heard much from Olesya Rulin ever since she appeared on High School Musical, other than her stint on the show Greek. But her recurring role there isn't enough for her career to keep thriving. It's only lucky that she managed to land a role in another pilot called Keep Hope Alive.

The FOX comedy is a project from the creator of My Name Is Earl, Greg Garcia. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed the new pilot to be a single-camera series which also stars Martha Plimpton and newcomer Lucas Neff.

Since wrapping up his Disney career with High School Musical, Zac Efron has been soaring all throughout Hollywood. His recent effort, Me and Orson Welles, even got him inside the White House. But promoting the film wasn't the only thing on his agenda.

The Hill reports that the 22-year-old actor was with Claire Danes and the acclaimed director of Me and Orson Welles, Richard Linklater in Washington D.C. last Tuesday. The trio didn't exactly meet with the President or the first daughters. They did, however, manage to face several administration officials.

After last month's report of 19-year-old High School Musical 3 star Matt Prokop being rushed to the ICU, he has fully recovered and is returning with a vengeance. A Furry Vengeance. The actor has landed a role in another family comedy coming next year, putting him alongside veterans Brendan Fraser and Brooke Shields.

Talking to the Victoria Advocate, Matt Prokop revealed that his role in the movie slightly mirrors his real life. The story of the film is set in the Oregon wilderness where local wildlife threatens the plans of a real estate developer. Playing Tyler, the agent's sarcastic son, was a great experience for the budding actor.

It took this long for us to keep up with High School Musical star Lucas Grabeel, but it's lucky we did. Stumbling upon his recent effort, a webseries titled I Kissed a Vampire, is an eerily appropriate incident given the date today. But let's not go there right now.

Reuters reports that Grabeel isn't the only Disney star who's involved in this production, which is billed as a "rock musical" about the classic bloodsuckers of lore. Joining him is Drew Seeley, the "singing voice" of Troy Bolton. And given the sudden boom and buzz about vampires, it's only fitting that these two cash in.

According to Variety, Ortega and Co. released a statement over the weekend, saying how they couldn't settle differences with Paramount Pictures for the anticipated revision of the hit 1984 musical film. They just couldn't agree on tone and budget, which is why both parties withdrew from the project.
