NBC Sets Return Date of 'Chuck'

Good news Chuck fans! Instead of keeping the spry dramedy on hold until March, NBC has set an earlier-than-expected return for the "average computer-whiz-next-door." Chuck kicks off its third season on Sunday, January 10 at 9pm with two action-packed, back-to-back original episodes before officially moving to its regular timeslot on Mondays, beginning January 11 at 8pm. Yes, this means we'll be getting three hours of Zachary Levi over two nights is a row!

'Heroes' Review: Samuel's Endgame Revealed

After two months of watching Heroes, we finally get some answers to the baffling mystery that is Samuel. But that's not all we get from "Brother's Keeper," the 10th episode of Heroes' fourth season. There's also significant progress about the whole body-switching mess involving Sylar, Nathan and Matt now that the truth has been revealed.

A mini reunion takes place tonight on Heroes as Peter, Nathan, Sylar and Matt all come together in the same room for the first time after all that body switching mess in the third season finale. Matt, however, is still subconsciously trapped inside his own mind while his body is in critical condition after being shot several times in last week's episode. While Matt saw his self-sacrificing deed as an effort to stop Sylar from taking over his mind and body, it looks like he failed to see that his heroic effort will eventually bring Sylar closer to his own body.

BuddyTV and DVR Divas: Why Is 'Heroes' So Bad?

I recently stopped by AOL's popular television podcast DVR Divas. The show is an overall review of the fun and crazy shows on TV, and this week I stopped by to offer up my unique and very compulsive love of TV.

If you don't know, I watch A LOT of TV. Basically, I'm like one of those people on the A&E documentary series Horders, only with television. I watch more than 50 shows every week on a regular basis, everything from cable gems like Dexter and Sons of Anarchy to mainstream hits like Grey's Anatomy and Dancing with the Stars to guilty pleasures like One Tree Hill and The Vampire Diaries.

People's Choice Award Nominees: 'True Blood,' 'Gossip Girl' and the Usual Suspects

This morning the People's Choice Award nominations were revealed, and as always, it's populism at its best. On the TV side, the nominees often look like the top of the Nielsen ratings list, with a few notable and surprising exceptions. Shows like True Blood and Gossip Girl crept into the Favorite TV Actress categories while Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show features Lost, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.

However, those are the very cool exceptions. For the most part, the list is full of CSI, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men and other top-rated shows. Here are the major television nominees for this year's People's Choice Awards.

'Heroes' Review: The World is Sylar's Hostage

It's time to move on from the events that happened in the infamous roadside dinner in Texas to the events that transpired two weeks ago on Heroes. While the three-character arc per episode has made storylines a bit cohesive, it makes the show a little bit confusing to follow because of the sporadic continuity. But if you've stuck by this show through thick and thin, then you're already used to this minor glitch. Now on to the highlights of "Shadowboxing," the ninth episode of Heroes' fourth season.

Once upon a time in Texas, Hiro met a waitress named Charlie. They fell in love but didn't get the happy ending they deserved because Charlie died at the hands of Sylar, leaving Hiro heartbroken and lost. Last night's episode of Heroes revisited this love story as part of Hiro's quest to right the wrongs of the past only what followed was a complicated set of cause-and-effect, reminding us that toying with the past will most definitely result in dire consequences for the future.

Someone's going to die on Heroes and it's someone that "will go unnoticed by even the most casual fan." Is it Hiro, Peter, Nathan or HRG? Sure we've heard tons of rumors surrounding a major death this season on Heroes, but so far we haven't stumbled on anything substantial that will allow us to put a name and a face on the controversial character. But it looks like Eonline.com's Kristin Dos Santos has finally learned the identity of the said character and unfortunately, his departure is sure to break a lot of hearts.

Nothing big really happened in "Tabula Rasa," the sixth episode of Heroes' fourth season, so I was a bit disappointed that the story didn't significantly make a big leap forward. There was also no mention of Claire's college adventures from last week nor did it tap on Angela's quest to find her missing son Nathan. However, I give credit to the coherence of the three student-teacher story arcs tackled through Noah and Jeremy, Emma and Hiro, and Sylar and Samuel.

Now that Sylar's officially back and in the arms of his newfound Carnie family, it's time to jumpstart the real Sylar courtesy of Samuel the barker in the Heroes episode "Tabula Rasa." But before we move on to the preview, here's what happened so far: Instead of recruiting Claire, the Carnies take in Sylar just in time to hide him from the cops. After some girl-on-girl action, Claire and Gretchen are welcomed into the sorority while Peter and Emma bond over their abilities. Heroes: One More Major Death and Some Ratings Update

So Claire kissed a girl and maybe some of you liked it. Unfortunately, all the hype surrounding the girl-on-girl action didn't do so much for the ratings this week on Heroes. "Hysterical Blindness" increased slightly from last week's episode, according to Nielsen estimates but, taken as a whole, the NBC series is still far behind its counterparts from ABC, FOX, and CBS' 8pm offerings.

So does that mean it's time to kiss off Heroes goodbye? Not exactly, according to Eonline.com, but we do have to bid farewell to at least one major character this season.

Heroes: Sylar Finds Refuge in Magic Carnival

"Hysterical Blindness" picks up from last week's cliffhanger with Sylar crawling out of the grave of "Nathan" after Millie ordered a hitman to kill. The newly resurrected Sylar, unfortunately, has no idea who he is and why he's in the woods and it only gets worse as Baltimore cop Lubbock (Ernie Hudson) finds out that he's watchmaker and murderer Gabriel Grey.

To sum it up, four things happened on Heroes this week: Claire kissed a girl, Sylar found refuge with the Carnies, Emma discovered another use for her powers and we finally learned who killed Claire's old roommate Annie. Now let's get on to the recap and review.

This week on Heroes, it's all about getting closure from the past and trying to move on by embracing life to its fullest as depicted by Noah, Tracy, Hiro and Nathan. The show didn't make a big leap forward except for the ending, which I'll discuss in a bit, but I welcomed the slower moments that pave the way for some substantial character development.

Suddenly I'm afraid to ask because he might just pop out any minute on Heroes. I have to admit that, albeit there are a lot of things to improve on, I'm enjoy the new season so far and I'd like to think that it has something to do with Mohinder gone missing. Sure, the Carnies and Sylar are pretty much what's keeping the show afloat but somehow, I find comfort in knowing that I don't have to deal with Mohinder's annoying voiceovers and bizarre storylines anytime soon. The Fly, anyone?

Things are gradually picking up on Heroes, thanks to Carnie Samuel Sullivan, who has unleashed yet another set of skills, and Sylar, who still thrives as a villain even though he's just existing in Nathan's body and living in Matt's head. I've always found Samuel interesting simply because there's just so much to unearth about the new mystery guy. But Sylar, I never thought that he could do any more damage than messing with people's head.

Heroes: Ink In The Answers

I haven't exactly watched Heroes as faithfully as I could've, but circumstances have compelled me to check it out again. I admit it bogged me down to look back on the previous season and catch up with everything - from new villains to the Carnies. Then again, who can say if those categories aren't similar?

Anyway, I was reminded of Ray Bradbury's story about "The Illustrated Man" when I caught a glimpse of Heroes' "Ink." If you aren't familiar with that sci-fi short, it's about a guy who was inked by a woman from the future, and whose tattoos change every time a new tale is spun. So translating all this to the show, basically it's series-newbies Samuel (Robert Knepper) and Lydia (Dawn Olivieri).
