This morning the People's Choice Award nominations were revealed, and as always, it's populism at its best. On the TV side, the nominees often look like the top of the Nielsen ratings list, with a few notable and surprising exceptions. Shows like True Blood and Gossip Girl crept into the Favorite TV Actress categories while Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show features Lost, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.

However, those are the very cool exceptions. For the most part, the list is full of CSI, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men and other top-rated shows. Here are the major television nominees for this year's People's Choice Awards.

The myth says that the headless horseman was one of the Hessians killed in a battle for Chatterton Hill during the American Revolutionary War, wherein his head was severed by a cannonball. And though he was buried in a graveyard outside a church, he appears as a ghost to night travelers and decapitates its victims.

Nathan is a wealthy software genius in his early 40s who runs his own company. Unfortunately, all the money and security in the world are not enough to prevent an angry ghost from haunting him.

Ghost Whisperer attempts to spook viewers with its scariest episode yet tonight at 8pm on CBS. "Do Over," the fourth episode of the paranormal drama's fifth season, is primarily set in Grandview Hospital where operations are murder and where patients have their own beside manners.

Before anything else, here's what happened so far on Ghost Whisperer: Eli's dad, Ray, died of a heart attack and we finally learned that his diseased wife Evelyn and his business partner Ann had a thing going on, much to the surprise of Ray, Eli and Melinda. In the end, though, Eli's parents don't crossover, leaving the impression that we'll be seeing them again in the future.

'Ghost Whisperer' Couple Denies Breaking Up

It has been reported for some time now that Ghost Whisperer actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and co-star Jamie Kennedy have gone separate ways. Apparently, Perez Hilton has claimed that Kennedy "has been cheating on Hewitt with his ex-girlfriend, Shannon Funk [who also was Britney Spears' former assistant]."

But a rep for the Ghost Whisperer actor tells Us Magazine that the split is nothing but a rumor. "This is a completely fabricated story made up by a disgruntled former employee, terminated for cause. Jamie and Jennifer are happy and still together," the rep explained.

As it turns out, Ghost Whisperer is indeed going ahead with its plan to jump five years into the future a la Desperate Housewives. Camryn Manheim, who plays Delia Banks on the CBS series, says the upcoming season as "scary."

"There's another underlining darkness to it," says Manheim, adding that Melinda's (Jennifer Love-Hewitt) baby will indeed have some powers, but the Ghost Whisperer showrunners are still figuring out what he can and cannot do. "Where Melinda has embraced her powers fully for herself, she hasn't embraced it in this situation and it's very complex and complicated."

After a season that saw all its 23 episodes win their timeslot every week in terms of viewers, Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love-Hewitt attributes the pull of its protagonist Melinda Gordon in slightly different terms when it comes to men and women. The 30-year-old actress says the Ghost Whisperer which she plays appeals to genders in two ways.

"I have met a lot of men who love Melinda because she wears a lot of nighties and runs around in the dark! [While] women seem to be drawn to my character because her marriage is kind of perfect and great, and that's what a lot of women dream of," she said.

More than months before its fifth season kicks off, Ghost Whisperer is doing well ratings-wise, notably even on what is considered the Friday night death slot. Season 4 averaged 10.62 million viewers per episode, a 14 percent increase from its season 3 numbers.

San Diego Comic-Con 2009 Sunday Schedule

The last of the Comic-Con schedules have been released and we now have a full list of TV shows, movies, and other entities attending this year's festivities. You've all been waiting for it: Sunday will play host to the Supernatural and Smallville panels. Can't wait? Neither can we. Unfortunately, Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki aren't confirmed as of yet, but who knows what will happen over the next couple of weeks.

Sunday is "Kid's Day" so there are a lot of Kid friendly activities included in the schedule. Obviously, those activities aren't in our top picks for the day so if you'd like to check them out, view the full schedule here.

The highlight, for me, is that Buffy The Musical will be the last Comic-Con activity this year. Way to go out with a bang!

'Ghost Whisperer' to do a 'Desperate Housewives'?

Taking its cue from the five-year jump on Wisteria Lane last season, CBS hit series Ghost Whisperer might be employing the same technique, as producers ponder a similar five-year leap into the future next season, Entertainment Weekly reports.

The jump, reminiscent of Desperate Housewives' last season foray into the future, would mean that the child Melinda (Jennifer Love Hewitt) is carrying in last month's season finale will at least be four years of age, old enough to do things other than cry and ask for milk. If we can recall, a previous spoiler revealed that the child holds so much promise, that it will be able to do "much, much more" than his ghost-whispering mom. We also know so far that the impending battle of good vs. evil will be resolved by this baby, which has been referred to as "the key."

Jennifer Love Hewitt Talks Cutbacks on 'Ghost Whisperer'

If you think successful shows such as Ghost Whisperer are spared from the runaway economy and the pressure for TV to reduce costs, think again. The star and co-producer of the CBS sci-fi series Jennifer Love Hewitt revealed in an interview with E! Online that even Ghost Whisperer, which is doing fairly well in the ratings game, need to tighten its belt if it wants to remain afloat.

"We are a special effects show, so some of our special effects stuff has had to be cut in half. We haven't been able to do any actor raises for season five. We've had to cut budgets here and there. They have also been talking about shooting our show on HD to save money."

CBS Announces Fall Premiere Dates

Today CBS announced when its fall shows will premiere, and many of the dates are easy to remember because CBS is essentially launching all of its shows in a single week. From Monday, September 21 to Sunday, September 27, CBS will premiere all but two of its shows.

Those exceptions include the newest season of Survivor, which premieres one week early to allow a two-hour premiere on Thursday. September 17, and the series premiere of Three Rivers starring Moonlight's Alex O'Loughlin which comes Sunday, October 4, one week late to allow The Amazing Race to have a two-hour premiere.

Partial Comic Con 2009 Schedule Released

I know you all have been dying to hear who will be at this year's Comic Con. I have some good news for all the Twilight and Supernatural fans out there. Although guest lists haven't been confirmed yet, both camps will be present for panels, which is no surprise. Other Comic Con essentials confirmed are Chuck, Lost, Fringe, True Blood, Smallville, Vampire Diaries, and the new Peter Jackson flick District 9.

While she plays someone who is pregnant and tied the knot on Ghost Whisperer, Jennifer Love Hewitt shot down rumors that she has bitten the bullet and got engaged with comedian Jamie Kennedy.

Kennedy, who recently celebrated his 39th birthday in Las Vegas, said, "We're not engaged... It's just funny when I read stuff like that. It's actually very flattering that they care so much."

Former 'Ghost Whisper' Star Aisha Tyler Lands ABC Talk Show

Aisha Tyler, who is perhaps best known for her role as Andrea Marino in the first season of Ghost Whisperer, has been given the chance to become ABC's next big talk show host. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the actress-comedian will star in The Aisha Tyler Show, which is "described as a hybrid that will incorporate aspects of a traditional talk show with comedic political commentary, produced comedy segments and other elements usually associated with late-night shows."

The former Ghost Whisperer star's new show is aimed at a younger audience and is being developed as a fully "wired" concept, with fans being able to communicate with Tyler via Facebook, Twitter and other platforms.
