On the last episode of the Lifetime drama, Emmalin's rebellious ways continued, while Pamela was on a lookout for a new house since her kids no longer want to share a room. Roland, meanwhile, was confronted by an outside therapist about the care available for soldiers. Finally, Trevor's career was put in danger when he does something during a drill.

Finally, Roland (Sterling K. Brown) is thinking of getting better care for the soldiers at Fort Marshall, thanks to a therapist who talks to him.

Last time on the Lifetime drama, Denise (Catherine Bell) tried to find out if Frank (Terry Serpico) is OK after potentially getting injured in Iraq. Meanwhile, Claudia Joy was hoping that she could find Emmalin and Logan, while Roland had some realizations regarding army life. With the commendable finale of Army Wives season 2 recently being aired, the Lifetime drama series dominated the ratings. In 2007, it broke records as the network's largest premiere in 23 years, and it persists in doing so. Even though the show has left temporarily to work on its third season, it will surely be missed.

Army Wives wrapped up its latest term last November 2, garnering a 3.1 household rating for its finale. According to Nielsen Media Research data, it managed to pull in around 3.9 million total viewers just that night.

Ivan Sergei to Guest Star on 'Army Wives'

Army Wives is about to conclude its sophomore season, following 19 episodes that will come to a close next week. And as part of the finale, the military drama has enlisted Ivan Sergei to join the cast.

Ivan Sergei made his big screen debut when he starred in John Woo's 1996 film Once a Thief, and then returned along with the rest of the cast for the 1997 television series, which only lasted one season. Subsequently, he starred opposite Amanda Peet in Jack & Jill, which ran from 1999 to 2001. He then joined the cast of Wednesday 9:30 (8:30 Central) as David Weiss before landing the role of Dr. Peter Winslow on Crossing Jordan from 2003 to 2004.

Claudia Joy Holden, the general's wife on Army Wives, will get an unexpected visitor in Fort Marshall in Charleston, South Carolina. It's not just any person, it is none other than her socialite mother, Charlotte Meade. TV Guide reports that four-time Oscar nominee Marsha Mason will guest as Holden's (Kim Delaney) distant mom in at least two episodes slated in mid-August.

Yet as things stand, it's highly possible that this is not going to be a happy reunion for both parties. The society mom is supposedly harboring a less than pleasant agenda with her coming.

After writing a number of episodes for the debut season of Army Wives, Dee Johnson has been made a full-time member of the drama series production team. Her new deal with ABC Studios has afforded her one more year on the show, and will have her serving as an executive producer/showrunner.

Johnson is the third showrunner on Army Wives. In December, Samantha Corbin-Miller (Crossing Jordan, The Practice) was named executive producer/showrunner, but a few months later, was replaced by Jeff Melvoin (Alias, Picket Fences). Now, Johnson is taking over the series for Melvoin.
