MRC Has No Love for 'Easy Money' and 'Valentine'

Two shows are being given the boot this season as the Media Rights capital has paused production for two under-performing CW series, Easy Money and Valentine. These two shows will stop production for four to six weeks, MRC announced on Monday. They added that the hiatus is in fact pre-planned and that they are giving the show’s writers ample time to work and catch up on the shows’ writing schedules.

MRC’s spokesperson said that the company will push through with producing the 13 episodes of the Valentine and Easy Money orders. More importantly, the break will give MRC the chance to study the performance of both shows, which have been very week in its initial run.

Sunday night the CW premieres its two newest hour-long shows: the romantic comedy Valentine at 8pm and the financial drama Easy Money at 9pm. Technically, that's not true, since the shows are produced by Media Rights Capital in one of the strangest deals ever in TV, which is why the new CW Sunday night is destined for failure.

In the absurd deal, the CW outsourced programming of Sundays to MRC, deciding instead that it could become a major network by producing just nine hours of original programming per week.
