Leave it to the people behind Desperate Housewives to make sure that Wisteria Lane is never short of a vixen to stir things up. Producers have been on the lookout for another housewife to join the ABC dramedy for quite some time and now that Nicolette Sheridan's character Edie is finally out of the picture, it's time to put a face to Edie's highly anticipated replacement.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, Emmy-winning Sopranos heroine Drea de Matteo is joining the cast of Desperate Housewives as a series regular next season. Though her character is yet to be named, she'll be playing the matriarch of a new Italian family. On the other hand, casting is underway for her on-screen landscape designer husband and their 19-year-old tightly wound son, who is likely to strike a spark with one of the neighborhood girls.

Last night, the 27-year-old actress made her debut on the cable's Emmy Award-winning dramedy, Entourage, which earned rave reviews as she portrayed herself and a potential love interest for one of the boys. While Sigler's guest stint is getting a lot of attention from various media outlets, her rumored off-cam romance is making some big waves as well.

According to Life & Style magazine, Jamie-Lynn Sigler is reportedly dating Jerry Ferrara, also known as Turtle from Entourage. The two met on the set of Entourage when the Sopranos star shot her cameo role that will see her in a three-episode arc this season.

Fans of General Hospital have always been accustomed to mafia-related storylines. Soon, however, the show is bringing in some big names from the organized crime circuit. According to Soapcentral.com, Vincent Pastore has signed on to join the long-running soap as a mob boss.

Best known for his stint on HBO's award-winning series The Sopranos, Pastore returns to his mob roots after years of portraying Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero. On General Hospital, he'll be playing the character named Maximus Giambetti, a big-time mob boss who is frustrated to learn that his firstborn son, Max, is not following in his footsteps. Apparently, the younger Max is presently a bodyguard for a mob boss instead of actually being a mob boss.

When last we saw Meadow Soprano, she was having troubles parallel parking outside of a diner, late for a family dinner. After that The Sopranos episode's controversial final scene – in which the show quietly ended with Journey's “Don't Stop Believin'” playing before the screen going to black – Meadow's actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler left HBO for new projects, along with the rest of the The Sopranos cast.

Word has just been leaked by Kristin over at E! Online that Jamie-Lynn Sigler will soon be returning to HBO, however. She has just been cast for several episodes on Entourage's upcoming fifth season.

After playing Christopher Moltisanti on The Sopranos, Michael Imperioli is heading back to the small screen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the 42-year-old actor has signed on to star in ABC's new pilot, Life on Mars, which is based on the series that aired on BBC.

Moving beyond Carmella Soprano, Edie Falco has signed on for a Showtime comedy where she will play a strong-willed New York City nurse who takes on the broken healthcare system while also steering an unpredictable and frustrating personal life.

The series is described as a dark comedy in the tradition of Weeds and will be shot in New York. Showtime is hoping for a premiere sometime this year. And although the unnamed half-hour comedy is just a pilot at this point, positive comments from the network's entertainment president make it sound like almost a sure bet to become a series.

SAG Honors 'Sopranos' and Comedy Writers

If you watched the Screen Actors Guild Awards, you may have had some flashbacks to the most recent Emmy Awards. At the Emmys, The Sopranos and 30 Rock took home the awards for Outstanding Drama and Comedy Series. At the SAG Awards, those shows dominated over all else, taking five of the top six TV awards.

On the drama side, The Sopranos swept, taking the awards for Ensemble, as well as individual acting honors for stars James Gandolfini and Edie Falco. On the comedy side, 30 Rock reaped awards for its leads, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, while fellow NBC comedy The Office won for Best Ensemble. Both shows feature casts that include writers, and their wins can be seen as a continued sign of SAG's support of the writers' strike.

You can see that question mark up above, and you probably understand why it's there. We never saw Tony Soprano die and the final moments of The Sopranos didn't obviously suggest that he would perish. But, it is my belief that David Chase wanted us to believe that Tony did die. There have been million of words written, theorizing about what the final moments of the finale meant, but I think all one needs is a simple analysis.

Former 'Sopranos' Star to Host Own Cooking Show

Actor Steve Schirripa, best known as Bobby Baccalieri on HBO's critically-acclaimed drama, The Sopranos, has inked a deal that will have him hosting his own cooking series on Rainbow Media's free on-demand network, Lifeskool.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show is called Steve Schirripa's Hungry. The network has ordered nine episodes to be shown later this year. The series will feature a segment with Schirripa preparing Italian-American recipes from his book, The Goomba Diet: Living Large and Lovin' It, which was published last year.

Federico Castelluccio portrayed Furio Giunta on HBO's The Sopranos. After the culmination of the long-running mafia series The Sopranos, James Gandolfini, who played the Italian-American crime boss Tony Soprano, will return to the TV loop with a documentary about the survival experiences of the U.S. veterans of the Iraq war entitled “Alive Day Memories: Home from Iraq.”

Scheduled to premiere on Sunday, September 9 on HBO, the war documentary will feature Gandolfini’s interviews with 10 American GIs narrating their stories in the combat zone, as well as their near encounters with death.

Lorraine Bracco, cast member on The Sopranos, guest starred in The Oprah Winfrey Show on Thursday, May 24, supposedly to promote Bracco Wines, a line of eight Italian wines in partnership with the 52-year old actress. Additionally, she candidly spoke about her infidelity on husband Harvey Keitel and her years of denial on her depression.

Bracco was first married to Daniel Guerard but after a brief period married actor Harvey Keitel, popularly known for movies like Pulp Fiction, The Piano and Reservoir Dogs, and had a daughter with him named Stella Keitel. Despite the long-term relationship, the marriage went down the drain due to Bracco’s cheating on him with actor Edward James Olmos, known for playing Admiral William Adama on Battlestar Galactica. This resulted in a five-year legal battle over the custody of their child Stella, in which she was forced to file for bankruptcy. Bracco and Olmos got married but eventually filed for divorce.
