Aside from the usual television nominees like &lt;em&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.buddytv.com/the-l-word.aspx"&gt;The L Word&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/em&gt; and &lt;em&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.buddytv.com/ugly-betty.aspx"&gt;Ugly Betty&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/em&gt;, there was one atypical nominee: &lt;em&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.buddytv.com/Supernatural.aspx"&gt;Supernatural&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/em&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;

The GLAAD Media Awards have a special category for an individual episode of a show that doesn't feature a regular gay character.  &lt;em&gt;Supernatural&lt;/em&gt; was nominated for &amp;ldquo;Ghostfacers,&amp;rdquo; the faux reality TV series episode that featured intern Corbett (current &lt;em&gt;90210&lt;/em&gt; jock Dustin Milligan) who had a gay infatuation with Ed, resulting in the classic line, &amp;ldquo;Ed, you have to go be gay for that poor dead intern.&amp;rdquo;</description><author>editor@buddytv.com</author><pubDate>Tue, 27 Jan 2009 13:53:08 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.buddytv.com/articles/supernatural/glaad_nominates_supernatural_t-25954.aspx</guid></item><item><title>Skins</title><link>http://www.buddytv.com/articles/skins/skins-21088.aspx</link><description>&lt;img hspace="3" align="right" alt="skins" src="http://www.buddytv.com/articles/Image/skins.jpg" /&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.buddytv.com/skins.aspx"&gt;&lt;em&gt;Skins&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/a&gt;, the award-winning British comedic teen drama from Company Pictures, is now coming to U.S. audiences.&amp;nbsp; The series, which is one of E4's flagship programs in their attempt to start showing more British content on their channels, will be aired on BBC America starting August 13 at 9pm ET/PT.&lt;br /&gt;

Expect teenagers to grab life by the balls in the hot new drama &lt;em&gt;Skins&lt;/em&gt;.&amp;nbsp; 	Created by Jamie Brittain and Bryan Elsley, the series revolves around the lives of a group of friends, consisting of 16 to 19-year-olds who live in Bristol.&amp;nbsp; Described as a representation of the everyday lives of adolescents, each episode features a self-contained theme that focuses on each different character, while leaving room for several story arcs that span different episodes.&amp;nbsp;  In each episode of &lt;em&gt;Skins&lt;/em&gt;, there is also a short accompanying montage of that episode's central character.</description><author>editor@buddytv.com</author><pubDate>Wed, 09 Jul 2008 20:23:34 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.buddytv.com/articles/skins/skins-21088.aspx</guid></item></channel></rss>
