The schedule features eight new shows, including a Wednesday night that contains nothing but new programs.?? This is identical to the strategy ABC used two years ago when it premiered three new hour-long shows on Wednesdays.

The new Wednesday, however, features four new half-hour comedies which I will tentatively title the Back to You reject lineup, as three of the sitcoms star former cast members of that failed FOX sitcom, including Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton and Ty Burrell.?? The other big change to the schedule is that Ugly Betty has been bumped to Fridays, wedged between Supernanny and 20/20.

More Fall Lineups:
FOX
After setting expectations that this past year would be Scrubs' final season, ABC has picked up the medical sitcom for next year after all. Corporate warfare satire Better Off Ted and crime-show-with-a-twist-of-lime Castle also made good impression in the two months they've been on.
As the season finale of Scrubs gets closer and closer (only a few hours left!), the anticipation is getting higher. It's like a disease - you want it to end but you can't help but stick around and watch. Whatever you may be feeling as the series wraps up (or not), there's one more thing to be really excited about. Reports have it that the hospital comedy will be bringing about 50 guest stars back on the show this Wednesday.

ABC has released a list of actors who will be present on Dr. John Dorian's last day, including Colin Hay as himself, Amy Smart as Jamie, Nicole Sullivan as Jill Tracy and Phil Lewis as the crazy Hooch. J.D.'s brother Dan (Tom Cavanaugh) will also be there, in addition to the rest of the hospital staff composed of Nurse Roberts (Aloma Wright), Todd (Robert Maschio), Ted (Sam Lloyd), Keith (Travis Schuldt), and the rest of the interns.

The first two episodes prove that the switch to ABC hasn't changed the show at all. Scrubs is still a quirky half-hour with off-the-wall comedy and a real sense of heart. “When you're in your mid-20s, you go, 'Oh, I'm not old yet, I'll be old when I'm in my late 20s,'” he said. “Then when you're in your late 20s, you're like, 'I'm not old yet, I'll be old when I'm in my 30s.' And I think when I hit 31, I [said], 'Alright, I can't (bleeping) fool myself anymore. I'm an adult.”

Neil Flynn Is 'Scrubs' Go-to Guy

The producers of Scrubs can't take all the credit for the show's comedy, since Neil Flynn is backing them up. Though he plays Sacred Heart's resident janitor, he's actually responsible for some of the laughs the show is known for.

One thing Flynn thanks is his background doing improv comedy around Chicago. “I was there during a crucial time for the iO Theater,” he said. During those years, plenty other comics came to Hollywood, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler and Seth Meyers.

'Scrubs' Star is a 'Maneater'

If she hasn't gotten enough guys falling for her on Scrubs, Sarah Chalke is all set to work on another exciting project, titled Maneater. She's closed the deal to star in the upcoming four-hour miniseries from the Lifetime network.
Dorian on the series, Braff claims that the eighth season of the hit comedy will indeed be his last. The rumors regarding his departure from the program have plagued fans ever since the story circulated. Now that Braff has finally proven the tales himself, what's next?

During his visit to Tel Aviv, Braff spoke to the publication Haaretz, which is Israel's oldest daily newspaper. He confessed that he's enjoying the freedom now that he's quit his role on Scrubs. season 8, and it contains the first footage of season 8 that we've yet seen. The promo is only thirty seconds long, but it's got a couple of cool little scenes on display. You can check out the embedded video below.

Will 'Scrubs' be the 'Lost' Lead-In on Wednesdays?

There has been much speculation regarding where Scrubs, now on ABC, will end up on the schedule when it returns for its eighth, and likely final, season. <a href="http://www.thefutoncritic.com/news.aspx?id=7841" rel=nofollow">A proposed mid-season schedule for ABC has been unearthed on Zap2It, and it provides ample insight into what ABC might be thinking come January. The proposed schedule, which has supposedly been given to advertisers, places Scrubs on Wednesday nights at 8pm, the slot currently held down by critical gem Pushing Daisies. per week, as NBC once did? Or is one of those slots simply a place holder while ABC decides what other show to place next to Scrubs?

'Scrubs' Season 7 DVD Review

Scrubs season 7 was one of the many victims of the WGA writers' strike. Thanks to the strike, Scrubs only produced eleven episodes for season 7. There was also some question of whether NBC would even air the final episodes, and whether Scrubs would get a proper sign-off in what most believed to be the final season of Scrubs. Thankfully, ABC came to the rescue and picked up Scrubs for a final eighth season, which will air on ABC sometime in mid-season. Scrubs season 7, then, was shorter than expected, but it still brought the funny. The Scrubs Season 7 DVD was released today, but we were able to take a look at it prior to its release.
