A few weeks back on The Amazing Race, Brian and Ericka adopted a tactic that, considering the cut-throat nature of the entire competition, seemed unlikely: be nice to others. Karma, Brian believed, will pay them back. So they played nice and helped the other teams just as they buckled under all sorts of pressure, and they finished second in Dubai--their best finish yet.

Well, they weren't really lucky afterwards, and they started falling down the rankings. Still, they were strong believers in the golden rule, and continued to play nice (to other teams, at least--their fighting, or better yet Ericka's nagging, is something else entirely). I initially attributed their luck to karma, but it seems it's worn off in recent legs, and they've been pretty close to elimination a few times, too.

Jose Garces Wins 'The Next Iron Chef'

After eight painstaking weeks, the Food Network finally crowned Jose Garces as the winner of The Next Iron Chef, a limited-run series that features a stand-alone competition that determines the chef who will then appear on the Food Network program, Iron Chef America.

Garces, who hails from Philadelphia, hosted a viewing party for 400 people at his spirited Mexican Restaurant, Distrito located at 3945 Chestnut Street for the season finale of The Next Iron Chef in which he defeated chef contestant Jehangir Mehta in an ultimate showdown.

'Smallville' Movie Finally Titled 'Smallville: Absolute Justice'

No longer will Smallville be burdened with two-part episodes known as "Society" and "Legends," because the powers that be have granted them an entire movie. This season, the hit CW series will be thrilling the fans with the two-hour special now known as Smallville: Absolute Justice.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the network decided to scrap their plans of leaving the viewers hanging with the separate installments. The title of the upcoming TV film has just been released, along with the excited emotions of Smallville die-hards.

Project Runway: Irina Shabayeva Talks Victory, Attitude and the Future

"Pam is due to have her baby in February. I don't know what it is. It's going to be a surprise. There have been a lot of discussions about it but no decision has been made yet. Sexist, Racist Comments on 'Entourage' Set?

Entourage viewers are used to seeing Lloyd (Rex Lee) take a beating from Ari (Jeremy Piven), and they even take pleasure in the remarks, mostly involving Zac Efron's balls, Michelle Kwan in drag, or something along that line. TMZ is reporting that, unfortunately, the verbal tirades seem to also happen off-screen.

Lee, 40, admits that there are "occasionally" jokes thrown around set in reference to his sexuality and ethnicity on Entourage. "I try not to let it bother me," he said, adding that the remarks come mostly from members of the crew. Asked why he doesn't have these people fired, he just said, "that's not the way I work."

For the really smart ones out there, have you ever wished you were a little dumber so things would be a little simpler?

That is the (not so medical) conundrum that tonight's episode of House raises, and on its Thanksgiving episode at that. On "Ignorance is Bliss" House (Hugh Laurie) and the team take on the case of James Sidas on the eve of Thanksgiving. James (guest star Esteban Powell) is an exceptionally brilliant physicist and author who has decided to trade his successful career for a job as a courier. For him, intelligence is a miserable burden that has prompted depression and addiction, plus a lot of strange symptoms, that have so far baffled the team (but that's not anything new).

It seemed as though Jon and Kate Gosselin held their tongues last Saturday, when their all-day divorce hearing went surprisingly peacefully. The Pennsylvania proceedings marked the end of the Jon and Kate Plus 8 stars' marriage, with Kate receiving full custody of the children.

A source told People.com that the two settled their differences, and that both are relieved at how things were done. "This was the proceeding that essentially ended their marriage," said the insider. "Kate is just relieved that a very painful chapter of her life is nearly over, and she is looking forward to building a better, brighter future for herself and her kids."

'The Amazing Race 15' Recap: Cue Evil Smirk, Then Evil Laugh, Then Rejection

In the words of my favorite Canadian indie band, "it's all gonna break!" Seems The Amazing Race this week is the week when everything goes right past the breaking point, and everybody tries to hold on. Maybe it was because I watched the show frustrated over other things, but it felt that all of the teams were just that close to going bonkers. Well, not really, because there was something good at the end, but still. Close to going bonkers.

Meghan and Cheyne arrived first at the pit stop in Mustpeade, and open their clues revealing their next destination: Prague, in the Czech Republic. Upon arrival, the teams have to go to the Old Town district and find a vintage Praga, which happens to be a car. But, of course, nobody knows about it. In the end, all four remaining teams were in the airport--unfortunately for the frontrunners the first flight out is not until 5am, so they all take the same flight--so it's a good time to figure out what a Praga is. Smart Meghan and Cheyne, they did that. Smart Globetrotters, they did that too.

'Glee' Video Sneak Peek: Was Quinn Singing to the Triplets, Or To Puck?

Thanksgiving's just around the corner, but no, Glee won't be off the air like almost everybody else. Thank heavens. I don't think we'd be able to cope with yet another interruption in episodes.

Anyway, we've got a couple more sneak peeks from Wednesday night's episode, again courtesy of the folks at E! Online. This episode, by the way, is the one featuring rapper Eve as the head of the glee club for that school for female juvenile delinquents, which happens to be one of the teams New Directions goes up against in sectionals. They also happen to be, possibly, one of the teams to who Sue leaked their set list to. Oh, evil, evil Sue.

'New Moon' Scores Big In Opening Weekend

The Twilight Saga: New Moon had a really big opening weekend, earning an estimated total of $140.7 million in its first three days in theaters. It was more than twice as much as the grosses of the first film in the Twilight series, which earned $69.6 million when it opened this time last year.

However, New Moon failed to break the record for the most earnings a film took in opening weekend. That record still goes to The Dark Knight, which earned $158.4 million on its opening weekend. New Moon comes in third place of the top 10 best openings of all time, though, and to boot, it's the only non-summer film to take the honor.

Last night on Survivor: Samoa, 39 year old Laura Morett, the lobbyist enabler from Salem, Oregon, became the third member of the jury. Facing a deadlock and the possibility of picking rocks, rocket scientist John Fincher switched his allegiance on the Tribal Council revote to send his long time ally packing.

Laura was a different kind of player than Survivor has seen in recent seasons - an athletically strong, strategically-involved older woman who defied stereotypes. She avoided the pitfalls of several past outspokenly Christian contestants and became a leader of both male and female contestants, older and younger. Some of her strategic decisions, such as alienating Shambo and cutting Eric loose, were game-changing mistakes in hindsight. But I'll miss her presence on the show.

The mid-season finale of Supernatural may have been incredibly depressing and without hope, but one single line caused fans' minds to start racing at the speed of light. After Lucifer got up after being shot by the Colt, he said that he is one of only five creations that are immune to the Colt's killing ability.

This comment caused my mind to race with a thousand different questions. Does he mean him specifically or angels in general? What are the other four? Why would Samuel Colt do this? It's enough to leave Supernatural fans in a daze of theories and possibilities.

'New Moon' Breaks Midnight Screening Records

This should come as no surprise to anyone who has been keeping up with the presage numbers. New Moon is rocketing through box offices and now has the largest opening night ever. Midnight screenings across the nation were packed with giddy fangirls and fanboys alike. Summit estimates that it earned $26.3 million dollars after early morning calculations.

The previous record was held by Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, set this last summer at $22.2 million dollars for its midnight openings. This only helps to fuel the Harry Potter vs Twilight rivalry that has been raging for years. Potter fans have been out numbered by New Moon fans this time and each series only has two more movies in the franchise.

What a great vote! Dave's face said it all. He could not imagine that one of his four allies turned on Laura. After 26 days with John and Brett he thought they were solid, and he was sure Monica would never vote out her best friend. The Foa Foa's ability to escape their seemingly-inescapable demise week after week must have been unreal. Eric said, "There goes the lead." But really, there goes the ballgame.
