This week, Kate Walsh went to the premiere of The Hangover. And, in a way, she dressed appropriately, because she made me nauseous. And cranky. With a pretty severe headache. Which is a round-about way of saying I do not approve of this ensemble. And neither, apparently, does Ed Helms. He's back there, asking, for all of us:

ABC'S 2009-2010 Lineup: 11 New Shows

ABC unveiled its Fall schedule today and it features an ambitious lineup of new series to premiere all season long.?? The schedule features eight new shows, including a Wednesday night that contains nothing but new programs.?? This is identical to the strategy ABC used two years ago when it premiered three new hour-long shows on Wednesdays.

The new Wednesday, however, features four new half-hour comedies which I will tentatively title the Back to You reject lineup, as three of the sitcoms star former cast members of that failed FOX sitcom, including Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton and Ty Burrell.?? The other big change to the schedule is that Ugly Betty has been bumped to Fridays, wedged between Supernanny and 20/20.

Private Practice: Preview of Episode 2.22 "Yours, Mine and Ours"

While it may not be as heart-stopping-ly exciting as the upcoming finale of its mother series Grey's Anatomy, the Private Practice season finale promises to be rife with "events that will define their future" itself. By their, the promo meant the characters of the ABC medical drama, including Violet (Amy Brenneman), who finally has to choose between Pete (Tim Daly) and Sheldon (Brian Benben), which should rile up those from Team Sheldon or Team Pete; Addison (Kate Walsh), who has to face her feelings for Noah (Josh Hopkins) as Morgan (Amanda Detmer) goes into labor; and Naomi, (Audra McDonald) who's playing with the idea of starting anew at Pacific Wellcare and leaving Oceanside Welness.

Elsewhere on "Yours, Mine and Ours," Dell (Chris Lowell) understandably has some concerns for his daughter when a drugged-out Heather returns to town, and all these while a grief-stricken patient starts posing a danger to Violet.

With all these special guest stars on Grey's Anatomy, new doctors appearing out of the woodwork and rumors about which actors want out, it's starting to get confusing about which doctors actually work at Seattle Grace.

'Grey's Anatomy' Creator Working on New Drama

Shonda Rhimes, creator of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, is currently working on yet another pilot. This time, it's called Inside the Box, a drama set in a Washington network news bureau and revolves around an ambitious female news producer named Catherine and her colleagues pursuing "the story" at all costs while dealing with their personal animosities and crises of conscience. And similar to Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice, the pilot is an ensemble founded around a professional woman and her on-again-off-again relationship with a handsome male co-worker.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Grey's creator has already found her “McDreamy” for Inside the Box. Martin Henderson, the first actor to join the series, will play a male heartthrob named Jake, who is also Catherine's right hand. Apparently, Jake is oozing with charisma, has a great sense of humor, and has great chemistry with her.

The Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover-licious drama continues into its second hour. In Archer's (Grant Show) room, Sam (Taye Diggs) passes out from an asthma attack, leaving Naomi (Audra McDonald) torn about which man to check on, her asshat boyfriend who just had worms taken out of his brains, or her insecure ex-husband who just passed out.

Ever the famewhore, Richard (James Pickens Jr.) wants to publicize Archer's surgery and call in some newspapers to write up the miracle story about the world-class neurosurgeon saving the life of the world-class neurologist. (He should call the Seattle P-I because this is the latest in newspaper casualties in this country.) Archer isn't quite sure that Derek (Patrick Dempsey) got everything because his vision is blurry, his head hurts and the room is spinning. Um, dude, you just had your brain cut open and worms fished out. I think it's gonna hurt for a while. He wants another CT done, which actually isn't a bad idea, but Derek just thinks he's being an asshole and won't do it. Richard orders Bailey to do the CT but doesn't tell Derek about it.

Grey's Anatomy: Episode 5.15 "Before and After" Recap (Page 1/4)

The Grey's Anatomy/Private Practice crossover event begins (or rather "continues" because I guess last week's episode in which Addison made a two-second phone call to Derek at the very end of the episode counted as a crossover). Addison (Kate Walsh), Naomi (Audra McDonald) and of course, Archer (Grant Show) who has parasitic worms in his brain, spill out of an ambulance at Seattle Grace Hospital. Do they know that Seattle Grace dropped to number 12 in the rankings now? I wonder if they would have chosen to go to another hospital if they knew this information. They rush Archer into an ICU room where he starts seizing because of a reaction to a drug they are giving him. Derek (Patrick Dempsey) orders them to stop the IV drip, and when Archer starts crashing, they order a crash cart to start his engines back up again.

Bailey (Chandra Wilson) has cleared her schedule to help support Addison. Derek exposits to Addison that her brother hates him, that he hated him long ago when Addie and Derek were still together. Naomi sheepishly admits that she's sort of with Archer now, and Derek and Naomi chit-chat awkwardly and incredulously about how their tight-knit medical school group has become so dysfunctional and broken now.

There have been mixed reactions on the impending crossover between Grey's Anatomy and its spin-off Private Practice. Some fans of the show think it's a plot to get people to watch one of the two shows, while others are just scared that the whole thing might jeopardize the so far smooth-sailing MerDer union.

And for good reason, since the new cross-over will feature Addie Montgomery (Kate Walsh) asking help from her ex-husband for a case that is very close to her heart. Meanwhile, ET recently caught up with executive producer Shonda Rhimes who willingly shared some of her insights on the crossover.

Grey's Anatomy: Crossover with 'Private Practice' Leads to Trouble

It's no secret that ABC is planning for yet another Grey's Anatomy-Private Practice crossover. The network has done it before when Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) revisited Seattle Grace at the request of the Chief (James Pickens Jr.) to perform a groundbreaking surgery in the episode “Piece of My Heart,” which aired last May. Soon, however, another crossover will occur within the walls of the Oceanside Wellness Group.

Having a crossover is surely a refreshing pause from all the current soapy drama in Grey's Anatomy. But fans shouldn't be at ease just yet. According to TV Guide's Matt Mitovich, the much awaited crossover will affect one of Seattle Grace's hottest couples.

Before Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice took its Christmas hiatus, Pete's (Tim Daly) girlfriend Meg was back in Los Angeles and was a little suspicious of the apparent closeness between Pete and Violet (Amy Brenneman). Meanwhile, Kevin was questioning the direction of his relationship with Addison (Kate Walsh). Cooper (Paul Adelstein) encountered a young diabetic boy with a mysterious past, to say the least, while Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) and her team of Pacific Wellcare doctors continued to draw intense competition against Oceanside Wellness.

Meanwhile, tonight's episode of Private Practice is very reminiscent of a very memorable Grey's Anatomy episode. Entitled “Contamination,” one of Cooper's patients, a six-year-old boy named Michael, contracts the measles after coming back from Switzerland and forces the quarantine of all those at Oceanside Wellness. Apparently, the boy interacted with a lot of farm animals like sheep and cows. Joining Michael in the pediatric ward is four-year-old Will and Jeffrey, who has autism.

Last time we saw Addison (Kate Walsh) walking the hallways of Seattle Grace on Grey's Anatomy was in the episode “Piece of My Heart," which aired in May. In the said installment, Addison flew to Seattle Grace at the request of the Chief (James Pickens Jr.) to perform a groundbreaking surgery. While she's determined to set a few people straight, she's also struck by the changes among her old friends.

But it seems that Grey's Anatomy fans have not seen the last of Kate Walsh, who now stars on the spin-off Private Practice. According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, Grey's Anatomy fans can expect more Grey's Anatomy-Private Practice crossover early next year.

'Angel' Alum to Appear on 'Private Practice'

After recently announcing that his wife and star of How I Met Your Mother Alyson Hannigan is pregnant with their first child, Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Alexis Denisof will appear on Private Practice as an expecting father – with two pregnant wives. TV Guide reports that Denisof will play prospective daddy with a case of Big Love on the November 19th episode of the Grey’s Anatomy spin-off. As a refresher, Hannigan, 34, is expected to give birth to their first child on the spring of 09. The two met on the set of Buffy during the 1999 season and eventually got married in a resort near Palm Springs, California on October of 2003.

As Denisof’s character Rudy arrives at Oceanside Wellness, he comes in with a pregnant woman in tow. He then returns later with another pregnant woman in need of Dr. Addie Montgomery’s (Kate Walsh) attention. Surely, Hannigan must be praying it’s all fiction and has nothing to do with real life events. Curiously, the episode is entitled “Serving Two Masters.”

ABC Renews 'Private Practice' For a Full Season

Private Practice may not be getting much buzz as its mother ship series Grey's Anatomy but it has certainly pulled enough ratings for ABC to grant the sophomore drama a back-nine order. This renewal marks the latest network series to get a full-season pickup, following NBC's Knight Rider and Chuck, CBS' The Mentalist, FOX's Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and CW's 90210.

When Private Practice kicked off on September 26, 2007, the medical drama raised a few doubtful eyebrows as some critics panned the show as a letdown from its predecessor, Grey's Anatomy, from which the character of Addison Montgomery originated. Gradually, though, the show attracted a solid fan base that has sustained its hype every Wednesday night in between airings of Dancing with the Stars and Dirty Sexy Money.

Private Practice: Medical Dramas on TV Are Getting Cured

Left with little chance to survive, the big network medical dramas seemed to have incurred an epidemic of low ratings last time. They entered the fall season with a lot of problems, leftover issues and the fate of many characters hanging in the balance. There was no doubt that one of the shows victim to this disease is ABC's Private Practice. The Grey's Anatomy spin-off features Addison (Kate Walsh) growing further away from her original character. She is almost unrecognizable as her former self, and the doctors she was surrounded with don't help either. However, it seems as though the show is starting things anew, joining the ranks of the other medical dramas it emerged with.

Though many easily blamed the infamous writer's strike, the problems still lay in the shows themselves. Grey's Anatomy ended in a disastrous slump, turning more into a soap opera than a medical drama. There was more focus in the moldy Derek-Meredith question than what was important: saving other peoples' lives.

Questions on bioethics are faced weekly on ABC’s Private Practice, the spin-off of the hugely successful series, Grey’s Anatomy. Having recently begun its second season, Private Practice executives assure fans that things are going to get heavier this time around.

There’s more drama afoot, and series creator Shonda Rhimes has revealed that the doctors will be dealing more with real issues that could cause controversies. “We're telling stories that will provide a lot of moral debate among our doctors and maybe debate at home when you watch,” Rhimes explained.

After a very long break, Private Practice returns tonight for a whole new season of dysfunctional doctors trying to find their way through life. It's been a long while since Private Practice has been on the air. Along with its Wednesday night neighbors Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, Private Practice ended its abbreviated freshman season way back in December of last year due to the WGA strike.

Over the summer, Shonda Rhimes, the creator of Private Practice and its progenitor Grey's Anatomy, and her cast of ridiculously good-looking actors talked to television critics about how she is planning to reboot the show for its second season.

'Everwood' Actress Heads to 'Private Practice'

Fans of Sarah Drew are happy to know that the 27-year-old Everwood actress is slowly making her way back to television with a number of guest appearances. Previously, she had a little cameo on AMC’s Mad Men, and then just last month, she landed a role in the CW’s new drama series, Privileged, which is created by Everwood’s writer, Rina Mimoun. On Privileged, Drew is playing Joanna Garcia’s best friend. Drew will only appear in the eight episode, but this doesn’t mean that her stay will be brief. In fact, Mimoun believes that Drew is someone they all can’t get enough of.

"You can't just have her on once," Mimoun told Entertainment Weekly last month. "[Her Everwood character] Hannah was never supposed to be on for more than, like, a two-episode arc, and she ended up staying forever!"
