'Making the Band' Finale Airs Tonight

If you want to witness the fate of Diddy-helmed Day26 and Danity Kane, among other things, then tune in tonight as long-running MTV series wraps up its season with the first of its two-part finale tonight at 9pm ET/PT. The follow-up will air next week April 23 at the same time.

This, after Entertainment Weekly reports that Diddy announced via Twitter yesterday that Day26’s album Forever in a Day just hit the shelves. The Making the Band alum’s debut album reached the peak of the Billboard 200 charts on its first week, bumping fellow Making the Band alum Danity kane.

Diddy to Appear on 'CSI: Miami' Plus Preview of Tonight's Episode

Can you picture Diddy playing a force of justice? Well imagine no more. The 39-year-old rapper, who is also known as Sean Combs in real life, has signed on to appear on CSI: Miami, according to The Insider. This is not the first time Diddy has forayed into acting as he recently garnered critical acclaim for his role in A Raisin in the Sun, a TV movie made by the ABC Network. The rapper, who has said he is retiring from music to concentrate on his acting career, is slated to appear on two episodes of the forensic drama.

For his upcoming stint on CSI: Miami, Diddy will be playing “a prosecutor who does not get along with police Lt. Horatio Caine, played by David Caruso." CBS said that his episodes will probably air in mid to late winter. At present, fans can catch Diddy auditioning potential new assistants on I Want To Work For Diddy and as the man of the house on MTV's Making the Band.

In the season finale of Making the Band, Diddy confirmed that not only Aubrey, but D. Woods, is no longer part of Danity Kane. He dismissed both girls from the group, leaving Shannon, Dawn, and Aundrea shocked. What's next for the remaining members of Danity Kane? After all the drama from the cliffhanger live-finale, the network has ordered bonus episodes of Making the Band which will pick up where the show last left off. A couple of days ago on MTV’s Making the Band, we saw Danity Kane and Day26 head back to Times Square to make an appearance on TRL. Following that little stint, Diddy surprised them with a flight to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where they swam with the dolphins and celebrated Robert’s birthday. A day later, we saw the gang head back up to New York City to face Diddy, who confronted Danity Kane and got into a heated conversation with the girls, specifically Aubrey O’Day.

While most fans speculate that Aubrey was kicked out of the multiplatinum-selling girl band, MTV says in their episode recap that “When Aubrey gives Diddy a piece of her mind, he decides to kick her out of Danity Kane.”

Season 2 of 'Making the Band 4' Sealed with a Kiss and Details for 'Making the Band 5'

Last night, season 2 of Making the Band 4 came to a close via a two-hour finale complete with live performances from Danity Kane, Day26 and Donnie J, as well as a major announcement courtesy of Diddy. To recap the premise for the just-concluded second season, the members of Danity Kane from Making the Band 3 and the boys from Making the Band 4's first season, were all thrust under one roof to cohabit with each other while completing their own respective albums. Near the start of the season, Diddy finally christened the all-male quintet winner from season 1, naming the group, Day26.

Making the Band: Danity Kane to Headline Local Radio Station's Anniversary Bash

Danity Kane, the all-female singing sensation forged through MTV's Making the Band series, will be headlining the 10th anniversary celebration of U92.7 FM on Saturday, April 12 at the Riverside County Fairgrounds in Indio, California. Headlining the “massive” event with Danity Kane is Bay Area rapper E-40.

This will serve as Danity Kane's first concert in Coachella Valley. Aubrey O'Day, one of the group's members, said in an interview with U92.7's “Morning Show” that this valley is the only home region of any of the girls that Danity Kane has not performed.

Making the Band: Donnie and Qwanell Straighten Things Out

During the fourth episode of Making the Band 4 (Season 2), tension rose between solo artist Donnie and DAY26 band member Qwanell after a “little joke” quickly turned ugly. Coming off from a successful date with Danity Kane's Aubrey, Donnie and the guys decided to meet with some girls, and while out partying the night away, Qwanell, eager for some company and to play a joke on his castmate, called Dawn and invited her and the girls, including Aubrey, to join them. Long story short, Aubrey got upset with Donnie when she saw him flirting with other girls, and Donny felt betrayed by Qwanell.

However, all has been forgiven, and the two each posted an entry on their iamonmtv.com's blogs explaining what really happened that night on Making the Band.

Day 26 Members Discuss 'Making the Band 4' Journey

Viewers first saw Willie, Qwanell, Brian A., Michael and Robert on the first season of Making the Band 4, in which they competed against other aspiring singing superstars. The five of them were ultimately named the winners of the competition, but the next task at hand has proven to be quite challenging: for the second season of Making the Band 4, music producer Diddy has instructed them to finish their debut album in only five weeks.

"We've all worked really hard,” Qwanell, who turned down a college scholarship to appear in season 1, told CTV.ca, “and the show's made everyone a better artist. I think Diddy is a genius for putting us all together."

MTV's Making the Band or MTB is back, returning last night with season 2 of its fourth edition. The second season of Making the Band 4 opened with its first episode called “Battle of the Sexes,” which premiered at 10pm ET/PT.

'Making the Band' Star Wanted for Probation Violation

Young City, formerly called Chopper and known as Kevin Barnes in real life, is at odds with the law again. The former Making the Band star is now a wanted man after a Baltimore, Maryland judge issued a warrant for his arrest for violating his probation rooting from an armed robbery conviction.

This wasn’t Young City’s first encounter with the law. Previously, he was convicted of robbing a man and holding a BB gun in Eastpoint Mall, Baltimore in 2001. He was also arrested for the assault of his girlfriend in Georgia, in which he missed a court appearance relating to the case.

Aundrea Fimbres was discovered on MTV’s reality show Making the Band 3 . Although short in height, her soaring vocal range impressed many fans and even the show’s vocal coach Doc Holliday.
