It was a huge step for series creator Matthew Weiner to hit the reset button since Sterling Cooper will no longer be the fundamental setting of the series but that was all part of his original plan.

Mad Men: Sterling Cooper Draper Price is Born

Things may have ended on a sour note for Don Draper's marriage as Mad Men wraps up its third season but things are look brighter than ever on the business front at least. After being told by Conrad Hilton that ad agency McCann Erickson is buying Puttnam, Powell, and Lowe -- and Sterling Cooper along with it, Don informs Cooper about the sale and proposes that they buy Sterling Cooper themselves. In the end, most of the show's main characters, including Pete, Harry, Peggy, Roger and Joan, have joined Don to start a new agency. And thus, Sterling Cooper Draper Price is born.

Mad Men: Season 3 Finale Preview

In the wake of the assassination of JFK, the whole world was at a loss much like the people at Sterling Cooper. We all saw it coming ever since they met in "The Fog" and it all became lucid in last week's episode of Mad Men.

When we last saw Mad Men, the boys were doing a commercial for Lucky Strike and Sal got propositioned by client Lee Garner, Jr. But Sal turned him down, consequently upsetting the client, who now wants Sal to be fired. We find out tonight on Mad Men in the episode called "Souvenir."

But before anything else, here's a quick recap of what happened last week: Conrad Hilton wants Don to handle Hilton's three New York City properties and Roger, Cooper, and Lane congratulate Don but warns him that there's a hitch. Connie's lawyers want Don under contract to Sterling Cooper to ensure continuity so Lane hands Don a three-year contract. In attempt to convince a reluctant Don, who believes that "no contract means I have all the power," Roger calls Betty to encourage her husband to sign which eventually leads to an argument between Don and Betty. In the end, though, Don decides to sign the contract.

Mad Men: Preview of Episode 3.7 "Seven Twenty Three"

Coming on the heels of winning its second straight Emmy for best drama series, Mad Men attempts to prove that it got the victory it deserves with tonight's "Seven Twenty Three" episode. And suddenly, all of Don and Betty's issues with Gene were gone as well. While Gene's death was excruciating enough for Sally, it didn't help that she overheard Betty, Don, William and his wife Judy briefly laughing about William's jokes about Gene not having to worry about seeing his last companion, Gloria, in heaven. And if the third season opener is any indication, you'd know that you still wouldn't find any clarity in the near future as to where the show is going. It's all part of the appeal of the drama that takes us back to the changing social mores of 1960s America through the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency. But perhaps the main issue as Mad Men moves further into the third season is what's going to happen with Don now that a baby is on the way.

Mad Men: Preview of Episode 3.2 "Love Among the Ruins"

Mad Men has made quite a leap last week, attracting 2.8 million viewers for its third season debut. That's 34 percent more than last year's opener. Hopefully, this critically praised but ratings-challenged drama will deliver even more numbers with tonight's installment called "Love Among the Ruins."

But before anything else, let's recap: Lane Pryce, the financial officer installed by Sterling Cooper's British parent, calls Don (Jon Hamm) "the face of our business," which is why he needs to visit their client London Fog. Sal (Bryan Batt) comes along in Don's business trip to Baltimore where both men succumb to the powers of persuasive seduction. At the same time, Pete (Vincent Kartheiser) and Ken (Aaron Staton) are both awarded the position of head of accounts.

Mad Men 3: Dark Changes Ahead

Don versus Duck! You were probably on the edge of your seat while watching last night's season 3 premiere of AMC's Mad Men. The drama picked up in full force, opening a number of unexpected storylines that seem more, if not equally, intriguing than past seasons. In a nutshell, viewers got some sort of resolution to the cliff-hanger announcement that Betty (January Jones) is pregnant while Don (Jon Hamm) and Sal (Bryan Batt) took a business trip to Baltimore where both men succumb to the powers of persuasive seduction in an effort to reassure a major client; and Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) appeared quite happily settled into her new role at Sterling Cooper though Pete's (Vincent Kartheiser) future was still unclear.

2009 Emmy Nominees: '30 Rock' Rules, 'Family Guy' and Simon Baker Shake Things Up

The Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and there were some

morning's Emmy nominations, announced at 8:35am ET by Grey';s Anatomy's
Chandra Wilson and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons.

This year there are plenty of interesting changes and storylines going
into the announcement. As always, Grey's Anatomy has plenty of drama,
with Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight's behind-the-scenes decisions and
Patrick Dempsey's choice to submit himself as a supporting actor for
the first time. Expanding the major acting and series categories to
six nominees each should also add some extra spice into the morning.
The Emmys Report: Drama Lead Actor and Actress Races

A lot is made of the overwhelming number of great leading roles for
women on cable, but if the official Emmy ballots are any indication,
women are still a minority when it comes to starring TV roles. On the
official ballot sent to Emmy voters, there are 70 contenders for
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, but only 48 for the Lead
Actress category.

But the numbers don't help the major networks. Despite the fact that
more than 60 percent of the potential nominees come from the five major
networks, it's the cable guys and gals who take the lead at the Emmys.

See More:
Drama Series Predictions>>

The Emmys Report: The Drama Series Race

The ballots
are out, the race is on, and soon we will know which lucky shows and
actors will be nominated for this year's Emmy Awards. This year the
main categories have been expanded to six nominees due to the
increasing volume of shows produced. The official Emmy ballot for
Outstanding Drama Series lists 76 eligible shows, but that includes
everything from last year's winner, Mad Men, to "no chance in Hell:
submissions like The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

So
who is actually in the hunt? Last year proved that cable networks have
finally broken through as it was the first time a cable network other
than HBO scored a nomination in this category.

The Emmys Report: McDreamy and 'Big Love' Ladies Change Categories

The end of May means it's time to start campaigning for the Emmy Awards. Many shows have already started hitting voters with giant For Your Consideration DVD sets to get the coveted nominations. This season, however, there's a lot of gamesmanship going on for category placements as actors are moving from Lead to Supporting or vice versa in order to improve their chances at a nomination.

The biggest change is coming from Grey's Anatomy, where McDreamy himself Patrick Dempsey is dropping down to the Supporting Actor race after failing to get nominated as a Lead Actor for four years. While some might criticize the move as blatantly mislabeling himself in order to score a nomination, it's actually a bigger indictment on the show itself.
'Mad Men' Season 3 Set for Summer Broadcast

Latest Mad Men News>>

Fresh off its Golden Globe victory for Best TV Drama, Mad Men returns this summer for its highly anticipated season 3 despite prolonged contract negotiations between producer Lionsgate TV and creator/exec producer Matthew Weiner. Mad Men will being season 3 on August 16.

TV Guide's Mickey O'Connor announced: "Tell you what, I can officially narrow down the "summer" return date to early August. As with last season, don't expect tidy resolutions to the finale's cliff-hangers -- e.g., Peggy's revelation to Pete, Betty's pregnancy, Joan's rape -- since the show will most surely jump ahead in time again."
Screen Actors Guild Award Winners, Best and Worst Dressed

The 15th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were held Sunday night at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Globes were announced this morning, and below you'll find a list of all the television categories. Shows like True Blood, Mad Men, 30 Rock and The Office received multiple nominations, while other critically acclaimed shows were surprisingly omitted.
