The Food Network Presents Food Detectives with Ted Allen

Tired of the same old cooking shows? Here's one with a twist. The Food Network is serving us up with some culinary expertise and comedy in their newest offering entitled Food Detectives. Famed culinary expert Ted Allen will be hosting the show, which will premiere on Tuesday, July 29th at 9pm. Food Detectives, a half-hour primetime series, will focus on the connection between science and good food, unraveling some of the most intriguing food mysteries ever.

"I'm so excited to be working with Food Network on this new series," Ted Allen said. "It's a fantastic opportunity for me to head up my own show and I know that viewers are going to be totally engaged with the information we are discovering on 'Food Detectives'!"

Food Network's The Next Iron Chef: Meet the Cast

For two years, viewers have been intrigued by the American cooking show that brings together some of the world's greatest culinary artists for the prestigious title of Iron Chef America. Now, the Food Network has decided to create a spin-off called The Next Iron Chef that will ultimately decide who will climb up to the ranks of culinary greatness such as Mario Batali, Cat Cora, Bobby Flay, and Masaharu Morimoto.

Starring Alton Brown and Mark Dacascos, The Next Iron Chef is a limited run featuring eight master chefs from around the United States as they compete with each other for a chance to be hailed as the next Iron Chef. Through out the 6-episode series, contestants must flaunt their culinary skills and attempt to please the judges consisting of writer Michael Ruhlman, Bon Appetit restaurant editor Andrew Knowlton, and restaurateur Donatella Arpaia.

Sure, there are a boatload of cooking competition shows out there: Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, The Next Food Network Star. But all of them pale in comparison to Iron Chef America. The beauty of this great series is that it keeps the grand tradition of the original Iron Chef in tone. Get Cooking! Food Show Heading to Green Bay with Bobby Flay

Bobby Flay, popularly known from the Food Network’s Iron Chef America: The Series, is taking a trip to Green Bay, Wisconsin in order to appear as a celebrity chef for the new Get Cooking! food show.

The said food show will be held at the Resch Center and Shopko Hall in Ashwaubenon (a suburb of Green Bay) on September 22nd.
