The 61st Primetime Emmy Awards are this Sunday at 8pm on CBS. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, it looks like two shows will have a stranglehold on the night: Mad Men for Drama and 30 Rock for Comedy, both coming in with an overwhelming lead in total nominations.

But will they really prevail. Check out the nominees for the major Emmy Drama categories below and who I think will win, then make your own picks and watch along with me Sunday night.

The Emmy nominations were announced this morning, and there were some truly out-of-the-box nominees. Sarah Silverman for Lead Actress in a Comedy for her Comedy Central show? Flight of the Conchords for Comedy Series and Jemaine Clement for Lead Actor? Simon Baker from The Mentalist? And Family Guy for Outstanding Comedy Series? Yeah, these aren't your daddy's Emmys.

2009 Emmy Nominations Preview: What to Expect

It's Emmy nomination eve as TV fans are looking forward to tomorrow morning's Emmy nominations, announced at 8:35am ET by Grey';s Anatomy's Chandra Wilson and The Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons.

This year there are plenty of interesting changes and storylines going into the announcement. As always, Grey's Anatomy has plenty of drama, with Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight's behind-the-scenes decisions and Patrick Dempsey's choice to submit himself as a supporting actor for the first time. Expanding the major acting and series categories to six nominees each should also add some extra spice into the morning.

In Treatment: Preview of Finale "Gina: Week Seven"

Paul (Gabriel Byrne) and Gina (Dianne West) reach a crossroad in their relationship on the second season finale of HBO's innovative series In Treatment. On the first episode at 9, Mia (Hope Davis) makes a life-changing decision, while April (Alison Pill) shares some news. The two patients wrap up their season on In Treatment, and as it says goodbye to our screens, A Taste of True Blood takes over come June 6th. The program returned for a second season which premiered on April 5.

Davis plays a successful malpractice attorney and former patient of Paul's from 20 years ago, who blames him for her present status: an unmarried, childless, workaholic, who makes poor choices in men. Pill, meanwhile, is an architecture student diagnosed with lymphoma which she has been keeping shamefully secret. She appears to be in denial about the severity of her illness. West, lastly, plays Gina, Paul's own therapist and mentor who painstakingly guides Paul from a budding midlife crisis to a road to personal satisfaction and validation.

A New Season and a New Cast for 'In Treatment'

HBO’s award-winning drama In Treatment recently opened its sophomore season a couple of weeks ago, and garnered positive reviews despite the initial dismissal of its first run. It could be because of some changes in the series, such as taking on a new array of cast members and moving the doc’s office to Brooklyn. Of course, there’s also the transformation that the protagonist, Dr. Paul Weston (Gabriel Byrne), is undergoing.

“I think you'll see the therapist more on his game,” said Warren Leight, who took over as show runner from executive producer Rodrigo Garcia. “You want to see a detective solve crimes, and you want to see a therapist help people. Last year, he was so mired with his divorce and romance with Laura that it spilled over. I think he's in the process of becoming a more evolved human being.”

'Lincoln Heights' Star Booked For 'In Treatment'

When In Treatment returns for a sophomore season next year, Dr. Paul Weston will find himself dealing with some new faces. As mentioned back in October, Hope Davis (Six Degrees, Deadline) and John Mahoney (Frasier) will be joining the Emmy Award-winning HBO drama respectively as a high-powered malpractice lawyer and former patient of Weston's who blames him for being single and childless, and a self-confident CEO who feels that his life is getting away from him. But that's not all.

According to Zap2it.com, In Treatment has also booked Lincoln Heights' Russell Hornsby as one of Dr. Weston' new regular patients. On the series, Hornsby will play a divorced guy with a 12-year-old son.

Golden Globes: 'True Blood','Mad Men' Among Nominees

The Golden Globe Awards honor the best in both television and movies, and though they're not taken as seriously as the Emmys or the Oscars, they're still a lavish, star-studded affair. However, the glitz was put on hold last year due to the writers' strike, forcing the producers of the show to cobble together an awkward news conference to announce the winners. This year, with no strike in sight, the Globes are back to being as glamorous and exciting as ever. The ceremony is set to air on NBC on Sunday, January 11 at 8pm, and is bound to be attended by a cavalcade of big stars.

The nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Globes were announced this morning, and below you'll find a list of all the television categories. Shows like True Blood, Mad Men, 30 Rock and The Office received multiple nominations, while other critically acclaimed shows were surprisingly omitted.

'In Treatment' Enlists Two More Actors for the Upcoming Season

Back in June, we reported that HBO’s In Treatment was renewed for a second season, despite receiving mediocre ratings. In fact, the daily drama will be bringing back Gabriel Byrne as the Washington-based psychotherapist Paul Weston, who deals with several patients every week until Friday, when he visits his own therapist, Gina Toll (Dianne Wiest). Season 2 of the series might see some of the original characters leave, but fans mustn’t worry because there are a few who have stepped up to receive Treatment.

The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that Hope Davis and John Mahoney are joining the cast of the second season of In Treatment, which is produced by Warren Leight, Rodrigo Garcia, Hagai Levi, Stephen Levinson, Mark Wahlberg and Paris Barclay.

In Treatment Renewed for Season 2

Despite less-than-stellar ratings for its maiden season, HBO recently announced that it plans to renew its daily drama In Treatment for another round. The series revolving around psychotherapist Paul Weston, played by Gabriel Byrne, premiered early this year as a five-night-a-week series. The show follows the Washington-based doctor with his weekly sessions with patients, plus his sessions with his own therapist Gina Toll, played by Dianne West.

Upon the announcement, HBO added that “additional cast members will be announced as they are confirmed,” implying that it will do away with some season 1 characters. The series will also have a new writer in the person of Tony-winning playwright Warren Leight, a veteran of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He joins Rodrigo Garcia, Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson and Hagai Levi as an executive producer.

Beginning next year, HBO will revolutionize its programming in an altogether new fashion, well beyond its tradition of constantly changing the face of television. Come January 28, HBO will air its new half-hour drama, In Treatment, nightly.

If you're looking to cast a handsome, successful man, Blair Underwood is always a good choice. The actor has had a string of successful film and television ventures, and now he's part of the talented and large ensemble cast of ABC's delightfully wicked drama, Dirty Sexy Money. Underwood plays Simon Elder, a philanthropic billionaire with an ax to grind with the Darling family.

Underwood spoke to BuddyTV about his role and the fact that Dirty Sexy Money was recently picked up for a full season by ABC, despite the writers' strike that prevents the final scripts from actually being written. Still, with four episodes left to air, Underwood spoke about his character's relationship with his ex-wife, slated to appear next week, as well as his affinity for the cast, and also about some of his other upcoming projects, including a return to The New Adventures of Old Christine and the new HBO series In Treatment.
