This morning the People's Choice Award nominations were revealed, and as always, it's populism at its best. On the TV side, the nominees often look like the top of the Nielsen ratings list, with a few notable and surprising exceptions. Shows like True Blood and Gossip Girl crept into the Favorite TV Actress categories while Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show features Lost, True Blood, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural.

However, those are the very cool exceptions. For the most part, the list is full of CSI, NCIS, Grey's Anatomy, Two and a Half Men and other top-rated shows. Here are the major television nominees for this year's People's Choice Awards.

How I Met Your Mother has devoted an entire episode to Robin Scherbatsky, the one character that fascinates me the most, next to Barney Stinson, in "Robin 101." And as the title connotes, we learn almost everything there is to know on how to date the show's Canadian tomboy, courtesy of Professor Ted Mosby.

Clearly Barney isn't boyfriend material so the episode takes off from that fact when Robin confides in Lily that she thinks Barney's cheating on her. Robin needs proof though and even when Lily reminds her that she is no crazy jealous stalker bitch, Robin still checks out the briefcase that Barney left behind and finds a college notebook inside--- which rouses her suspicions even more. But to her surprise, the notebook contains notes about her and sooner or later, Marshall cracks and reveals that Barney has been taking a Robin 101 class from former flame Ted.

It hasn't been easy watching Robin feel insecure and somewhat jealous over Barney's love for stripper clubs in last week's How I Met Your Mother. Unfortunately, it looks like we'll be getting another dose of Robin out of character in tonight's episode as she fears that Barney is cheating on her.

While Barney certainly has that playboy reputation, I doubt that he'll be cheating on Robin, at least not anytime soon. And my assumption is validated as Robin discovers that Barney is actually spending his evenings with Professor Ted for some "Robin 101."

When we last saw How I Met Your Mother, we were left with two cliffhangers: Robin finally finds out about Barney's love for her, which she then reciprocates, and Ted decides he is done being an architect and opts to become a professor instead. Season 5 tries to tie up some loose ends by forcing Barney and Robin to defy their relationship while Ted starts teaching architecture in a class where he'll eventually meet his future wife.

Picking up where we left off, "Definitions" finds Barney and Robin making it clear to the gang that they're just friends in spite of kissing last season. To prove that they're cool with each other, Barney says something like, "Hey, you still seeing that guy?" ---which Robin replies, "even better -- seeing him naked!" And let's not forget the high-fives.
