Earlier this month, Stan Carisoza became the winner of High School Musical: Get In The Picture. He went up against Tierney, Isaiah, and Christina in the finale and performed "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith for the judges. As the winner of High School Musical: Get In The Picture, Stan will receive his very own music video which will run at the end of High School Musical 3, a recording contract with Disney Records to release 2 digital records as well as a talent deal with ABC. Last night, Carisoza had his first opportunity to thank the fans that supported him this summer and gave a special performance for them as well.

Tonight is the finale of High School Musical: Get In The Picture and one contestant will reach their goal of being featured in the upcoming High School Musical 3, which hits theaters in October. Things get started tonight with a High School Musical medley featuring all 12 contestants from this season. Nick Lachey welcomes the studio audience to tonight's finale and introduces one special judges, Kenny Ortega, the director of the High School Musical movies. HSM cast member Ashley Tisdale joins Nick to wish everyone good luck and tells them to follow their dreams.

Tonight's High School Musical: Get In The Picture begins in homeroom. There's the usual chit chat about how all the girls love Stan, especially Shayna. Nick Lachey starts a group discussion about walking in other people's shoes. Segue to the gym, where Rob Adler has set up mannequins wearing different kinds of outfits, for example, disco, goth, hip hop, etc. They will each be assigned a persona, and then they'll have to perform "A Whole New World," filtered through their assigned persona.

Everyone collectively chooses what style each person gets, selecting the style that each person is least like in real life. Tierney gets rock and roll, Isaiah gets folk, Christina gets disco, James gets hip hop, and Stan gets goth. Everyone is outside of his or her comfort zone, especially Stan who hates goths

When High School Musical: Get In The Picture was in its audition stages, I had a pretty good feeling about the show. The faculty members, who served as judges during the process, were not just letting anyone through to the next round. The contestants had to not only impress vocally but through their dance skills and personality as well. They passed on people that I thought were good enough to go on but the standards were set high for this new reality show. When they narrowed it down to the final group of contestants, though, they had to start performing weekly tasks that made me wonder: What the heck does this have to do with anything?

It won’t matter how talented they are. If they can’t make a good first impression, they won’t get very far in life. The remaining contestants in the competition meet with faculty member Chris Prinzo, who tells them that they’re going to have to audition for three different jobs. Some of the jobs involved children, who intentionally make things difficult for the contestants. Stan and Isaiah and were named as the two people who would have landed the jobs.

On tonight's episode of High School Musical: Get In The Picture, Anthony was frustrated with being placed in the chorus, only because he felt like he was there for the right reasons, which is more than he can say for others. Nick Lachey caught TJ doing an impression of him but he said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. The chorus members are sent to acting class, to learn to connect better with one another. The remaining contestants head off to a karaoke party in the school gym, but they've never sang like this. They'll have to sing "Get'cha Head In The Game", not just in English, but in several other languages too!

On tonight’s episode of High School Musical: Get In The Picture, the contestants learn to come out of their shells by completing uncomfortable tasks on the street. They have to get a hug from a stranger, get a stranger to look up in the sky, and get a stranger to give them some of their food. Meanwhile, Brianna and Christy stayed behind to work on some acting exercises with faculty member, Rob Adler. As the first members of the chorus, they need to be the ones to lay the foundation down since 11 other people will be joining them.

On tonight's episode of High School Musical: Get In The Picture, the 12 finalists head to homeroom at East High. Host Nick Lachey shows up and tells them that they're going to need to learn to let go of what people think of them. He takes them on a field trip to K-Mart, where they meet up with faculty member Jen Malenke. She informs them that they need to sing "We're All In This Together" for unsuspecting customers in the store. The catch is that they'll be the only ones who can hear the music so the people shopping around them really aren't going to know what hit them! They each run around to the store, grabbing people and singing to them as they just try to run their errands.

Nick announced the prize to the contestants: a talent representation deal, a single released through Disney, and their own music video, which will air at the end of High School Musical 3. Rob Adler, the acting coach, starts off with the contestants, and has them say their first impression of each other. Things started off positive with the contestants calling each other intelligent, artsy, confident, modest, and attractive. People started to get a little blunt though, as the game went on, calling people dumb, nerdy, and awkward.

Tonight’s episode of High School Musical: Summer Session features the west coast semi-finals and final audition rounds. Their first taken, upon arriving for their callback, is to perform a dance routine for the faculty members. Host Nick Lachey pays the competitors a visit to offer some words of wisdom and his moral support. Afterwards, they practiced their solos, which they would do individually in front of the judges. Their song had to be from a High School Musical movie and only 10 would move on to the finals to perform in pairs. The pressure was certainly on for these young performers!

Tonight's episode of High School Musical: Summer Session focused on the West Coast auditions. Contestants traveled from all across the country to get to California, coming from everywhere from Idaho to Washington state. First to hit the microphone tonight is Hripsime Bagdasaryan (say that five times fast) who sings "Tainted Love" by Soft Cell. She'll need a little more training before she's ready for High School Musical 3. Soccer star Ben Ashley, who says he's only been singing for a few days, chooses "I Don't Wanna Be" by Gavin DeGraw. A few days isn't enough for the talent scout and she tells him it's the end of the road for him. Olivia Bonilla doesn't find any more luck with her rendition of "Angel" by Sarah MacLachlan. it's going to be tough to impress these judges!

Anthony Acito tries to put everyone's nerves to rest by pumping up the crowd. Isiah Smith has a hard time keeping his eye on the prize and checks out the pretty females who have made it to the semi-finals. On tonight's season premiere of High School Musical: Get In The Picture, thousands upon thousands of younger singers and dancers showed up in Orlando, Florida for a massive open casting call. First, host Nick Lachey met with the 6 faculty members to find out what they were looking for. The experts wanted to see things like determination, spunk, spirit, and heart. In true American Idol fashion, High School Musical: Get In The Picture didn't just give us the best auditions. They gave us the good, the bad, and the ugly. However, there were no Simon Cowells on this panel of judges. They gave constructive criticism, were very encouraging, and put a positive spin on things when speaking to the young hopefuls.

This week, ABC revealed their summer schedule. Reality shows such as The Bachelorette and The Mole will return this May after being off the air for some time. New reality competitions, Wipeout and I Survived a Japanese Game Show, will also premiere in late June. ABC will also debut a reality dance competition, Dance Machine, also in late June.
