Last night, on the season premiere of Greek, the art of acting as if nothing happened.

I wish I knew how that went. During the tail-end of my student years that was exactly my problem: something happens and it tears you apart. Well, obviously both Casey and Cattie aren't dealing with what happened the night before quite well--see her hesitation, his nonchalance?--but at least they're doing it much better than I did. By a bit, if it consoles you.

The sophomore season of ABC Family teen drama Greek is set to wrap up tonight with the episode "At World's End." On the episode, Casey is sent to further emotional tailspin, following her near-fatal fall into a manhole, on top of the Kappa Tau's throwing an "End of the World" party. She also questions her relationship with Max and her lingering feelings for Cappie (Scott Michael Foster). Elsewhere, Ashleigh (Amber Stevens) faces her own punishment with Pan Hellenic thanks to a complaint by Frannie (Tiffany Dupont) for the Homecoming Float sabotage.

As such, Ashleigh turns to Casey (Spencer Grammer) to help fight the change, but Casey herself is caught up in her own personal drama so she leaves her to face Frannie alone. Finally, Dale (Clark Duke) tries to convince Calvin (Paul James) to go in on a "purity pledge" partnership so they can help each other resist their most recent temptations. This, because Dale is having trouble keeping his cougar girlfriend's sexual advances at bay while Calvin is trying his best to resist hooking up with his hot new roommate Grant.

On tonight's episode of Greek - "Social Studies" - it's mid-term madness causing mayhem for the students of Cyprus Rhodes University. The two girls Cappie (Scott Michael Foster) is dating at the same time both end up in his study group for their woman's studies. Of course, things take a turn toward the awkward, in Casey (Spencer Grammer) and Cappie's study group. How will Cappie escape the weird situation? Tune in tonight 9pm on ABC Family to find out.

Elsewhere on that episode, Rusty (Jacob Zachar) is having doubts about his relationship with Jordan (Johanna E. Braddy). The thing is, Jordan asks to join his art history group along with Dale (Clark Duke) and Calvin (Paul James). It has him questioning whether he is capable of being just friends with her. And Rebecca (Dilshad Vadsaria) turns to Evan (Jake McDorman) for help to retrieve her laptop from her towed car, which has her mid-term paper. The journey leads them to a very funny encounter with a guard dog.

ABC Family Orders More "Secret Life of the American Teenager'

Fans expecting another season of The Secret Life of the American Teenager won't be disappointed. ABC Family has picked up the highest rated original series in the network's history this past summer for yet another season. The sophomore season order, which was announced Monday by network vice president Kate Juergens, consists of 24 episodes that will tentatively return in the summer.

The renewal follows ABC Family's recent orders of several series, including 10 Things I Hate About You, which is based on the theatrical of the same name, gymnast series Perfect 10, and comedy Ruby and the Rockits. Additionally, the network has also ordered 20 and 10 episodes of Greek and Lincoln Heights respectively. Both shows are expected to return in the summer as well.

GLAAD Nominates 'Supernatural,' 'True Blood' for Awards

Today the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation released its nominees for the 20th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. Aside from the usual television nominees like The L Word and Ugly Betty, there was one atypical nominee: Supernatural.

The GLAAD Media Awards have a special category for an individual episode of a show that doesn't feature a regular gay character. Supernatural was nominated for “Ghostfacers,” the faux reality TV series episode that featured intern Corbett (current 90210 jock Dustin Milligan) who had a gay infatuation with Ed, resulting in the classic line, “Ed, you have to go be gay for that poor dead intern.”

Jesse McCartney Signs Up for 'Greek'

Greek fans have some new faces to look forward to when the ABC Family series returns for its midseason in the spring of 2009. According to the network, recording artist Jesse McCartney has joined the cast Greek in a role that will spark rivalry between the Kappa Tau's and Omega Chi's.

McCartney initially came to fame as the youngest member of the boy band Dream Street. Eventually, he branched out into a solo career, having appeared on the television series Summerland. His other credits include All My Children, as Theodore in the movie Alvin and the Chipmunks and most recently as a guest performer on Dancing With the Stars.

'Greek' Ratings Soar, Star to Appear in Film

It seems that ABC Family’s Greek has been well-received especially in its second season run. The ratings for the comeback show have definitely shown an improvement from its freshman season results. A press release from ABC Family states that the show has indeed set a record in its season premiere, hitting a remarkable score with viewers aged 12-34 and females 12-34. In fact, the show’s premiere episode climbed 78% in viewership, with series highs of 1.6 million total viewers, 1.2 of which were viewers aged 12-34.

Compared to its freshman debut in the summer of 2007, the show's sophomore premiere increased by three digits, with a 102 percent increase in the Adult viewership category, 134 percent increase in the Women's viewership category and 103 percent increase among viewers aged 12-34. While the show is experiencing a major boost in ratings, one of its stars is also taking a major leap into film, in which he will share the screen with renowned actor Nicolas Cage.

A couple of weeks ago, Greek came back with its sophomore season, which promised us the return of Frannie (Tiffany Dupont). Fans were glad to see Casey (Spencer Grammer), Rebecca (Dilshad Vadsaria) and Ashleigh (Amber Stevens) back at ZBZ stirring up more drama than ever before. Last week, we saw Casey and Ashleigh as they found out that they have been pining over the same guy. We also saw the girls stressing out over preparations for a crush party, while Max (Michael Rady) sought some advice regarding his education.

Tonight, Episode 2.03 “Let’s Make a Deal” will air to continue where we left off last week.

Last week, the highly-anticipated second season of ABC Family’s Greek kicked off with Casey (Spencer Grammer) trying to deal with the consequences of Rebecca’s (Dilshad Vadsaria) actions during spring break, forcing her to decide whether to kick her out of Zeta Beta Zeta or not. 'The Hills' Star to Go 'Greek'?

Yes, you heard it right! Crossovers are the in thing again nowadays, with actors and actresses volunteering to snag some extra air time on their favorite shows. Take for example Lauren Conrad of The Hills. Conrad, whose fashion career has recently gone up to new heights after landing a dress-designing gig for the Emmys, has set her eyes on a TV show in which she wants to appear in as herself. EW recently reported that the 22-year-old reality star is gearing up for a guest appearance on ABC Family’s Greek. In fact, she recently signed on to appear in the October 28 season 2 finale, where she will be playing herself.

Series creator Sean Smith revealed that Conrad, who will be shooting her Greek stint in early September, will be playing a spiritual adviser to Spencer Grammer’s character. Smith said, “It's a dream sequence in which Casey and LC are best friends. Casey has a big decision she has to make, and she's like, 'LC, what do I do? Advise me!'”

According to a TV Guide exclusive, 26-year old Michael Rady is Greek's newest recruit, said to play the perfect foil for Casey (Spencer Grammer), and perhaps even Rusty (Jacob Zachar), in the coming new season.

Whatever the reason, odds are that you haven't discovered Greek, a dramedy about college life that returns with the second half of its first season tonight at 8pm on ABC Family. I'm here to tell you it's well worth watching.

Greek is one of the most likable shows on TV, full of wit and emotional drama. It follows mismatched siblings Rusty and Casey Cartwright (Jacob Zachar and Spencer Grammer) as they navigate Greek life at the same college. He is a nerdy physics savant who longs to break out of his shell while she is the newly minted president of her sorority.

Earlier this month, the British cable network, BBC Three, bought the UK rights to ABC Family's new dramedy, Greek. The series is centered on the U.S. college experience and how the Greek system serves as a social minefield for the student community.

All 20 episodes of Greek's debut season have been licensed to the BBC Three by Disney-ABC International Television. Real-life fraternities and sororities have criticized ABC Family's Greek for its stereotypical depiction of the Greek life, but according to the cast and crew, the show is really more about getting the chance to start anew and finding a second family in an unfamiliar environment.

“College is the time to say nobody knows who I am. I can be whoever I want. It's liberating and exciting,” series creator Sean Smith told the Fresno Bee. “And it gives you the opportunity to try new things and, more importantly, make mistakes in doing so. I think that's something we also want to see with our characters."
