The drama on Dawson's Creek didn't just overflow from television screens at the time, but it also occurred behind the scenes. Tom Kapinos, who is best known for his latest work on Showtime's Californication, discussed his horrid past on the hit 90s show.

Kapinos was at an LA Times Envelope Emmy screenwriting series panel when he talked about his days on Dawson's Creek. He was supposed to speak about his new series starring David Duchovny, when he pointed out that his previous work was practically the inspiration for Californication.

Heroes: T-Bag, Darth Maul Get Season 4 Roles

Looks like Heroes is getting injected with a lot--a hell lot. Four names have been thrown into the pot and set to play roles in the upcoming fourth season of the show.

First up is a familiar villain, at least to those who have seen Prison Break: Robert Knepper has signed on to play Samuel, previous referred to as the "Carnival Barker" in previous releases. For at least six episodes, we'll see this charismatic guy wreck havoc on all the heroes by peeking into all of their lives. That, and he's evil, and he's got a very wicked sense of humor.

Viva Californication! Maybe it could be done with any other show, but Californication, which returns to Showtime for season 2 tonight at 10pm, is so much about the insane sex life of writer Hank Moody (Duchovny) that it makes differentiating the character and actor impossible.

Take tonight's season 2 premiere, which is all about Hank's penis. The writer is sexually propositioned at least five times during the half-hour episode by different women, either in a doctor's office, a grocery store or a party. The episode also features quite possible the first ever televised act of accidental cunnilingus. Californication is not a show for viewers with delicate sensibilities.

Dr. Martin Hirigoyen Kelly, dubbed as the "king of rhinoplasty" in celebrity circles who also happens to be the husband of Californication star Natascha McElhone, was found dead at his London home. The body of the 42-year-old plastic surgeon was discovered slumped by another doctor in the in the hall of the family's £2.5million house in Fulham minutes after he had returned home from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where he was a NHS consultant. Although paramedics tried to revive him at the same hospital, he was pronounced dead on arrival.

"It's still a mystery about the death," Kelly's stepfather Roy Greenslade told United Kingdom's Daily Mail. "It's so unexpected. Such a fit, handsome, fighting fit young man of 42. So we are in a bit of a terrible state to be honest."

ABKCO Records has released the first of the three 8-song “track packs” for Showtime's new comedy series, Californication. The first track pack, entitled Temptation: Music from the Showtime Series Californication, is available exclusively through iTunes.

In an effort to provide a soundtrack in a more immediate context than traditional albums, series music supervisors Budd Carr and Nora Felder approached ABKCO Vice President Alisa Coleman, who agreed to the concept with much enthusiasm. "We wanted to do something new with soundtracks," Carr said in a press release. "When Alisa cited ABKCO's strong ongoing relationship with iTunes, it seemed like we had the means at hand to provide viewers with an 'evolving soundtrack,'” a term used to refer to just-heard music that is made available to consumers on a scheduled basis.
