Following eight episodes, Burn Notice wraps up with an installment that finds Michael realizing the true price of getting his job back, and it could cost him everything.

Last time we saw Burn Notice, Barry (Paul Tei) enlisted Michael's (Jeffrey Donovan) help in tracking down his money-laundering client list, which has been stolen by a vicious thief. Michael went after the thief only to find that the task wasn't all that it seemed. Meanwhile, Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) tried to be supportive of Michael's decision to reconnect with the intelligence community, but she and Michael realized that their differences on the issue may not be reconcilable.

Comic-Con this year is going to be huge. I mean huge. More TV shows and movies are premiering than ever before. After Twilight's huge success last year, marketers are starting to take notice. Comic-Con equals an intense fan base and everyone knows how help die-hard fans are.

Chris Vance Snags 'Burn Notice' Guest Role

On tonight's episode of Burn Notice - "Fearless Leader" - Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) gets a hold of a crime lord who seems to be the prime suspect in a Miami PD investigation, so he wants to hand him over to get the Miami police off his back. Yes, his stunt last week may have gotten more than what he expected.

As for Sam, the son of one of his exes enters the picture as an IRS agent, in what can be very funny scenes.

Judging from the comments on last week's Burn Notice episode preview, everybody was ecstatic to see Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) and the USA Network dramedy return on air. Tonight on Burn Notice, Detective Paxson (Moon Bloodgood), who was introduced on the last episode, will be the least of Michael's worries since a dear old "friend" is set to make a return. Meanwhile, it was reported previously that we have not seen the last of Brennan (Jay Karnes), which, of course, spells danger of Michael, Nate Westen (Seth Peterson), Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar), and Sam (Bruce Campbell), as they need to help with an elaborate heist. Sam may need to lay off the mojitos this week in order to pull off this assignment.

Last episode of Burn Notice - which drew some 5.2 million viewers - saw Michael realizing that his decision to call off management at the end of last season was not really smart, as he became instantly visible to just about anyone who may have a grudge against him. Detective Paxson was able to track down explosives he'd been hiding in a storage facility. Elsewhere, Michael and the rest of the gang rescued a kidnapped child by way of reverse interrogation. All in all, while he was no longer under the thumb of anyone, he's also not under their protection.

On tonight's episode of Burn Notice - "Question and Answer" - Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) will realize that his decision to call off management at the end of last season is one risky move, as he becomes instantly visible to just about anyone who may have a grudge against him. Judging from last week's season premiere, the Miami police seem to be the least of Michael's concerns.

He then faces a new foe in the person of Detective Paxon (Moon Bloodgood), who has tracked down explosives he'd been hiding in a storage facility. On the side, Michael and the team must rescue a kidnapped child by using reverse interrogation. So while he realizes that he is no longer under the thumb of anyone, he's also not under their protection.

USA Network's prized spy dramedy Burn Notice is set to return for its third season tonight with "Family and Friends." The Jeffrey Donovan-led series was picked up with a 16-episode order early October last year. The third season will feature the return of the show's cast, including Donovan as burned former spy Michael Westen, his action-obsessed ex Fiona Glenanne (Gabrielle Anwar) and his old war buddy Sam Axe (Bruce Campbell).

On the third season premiere, Michael is bailed out of jail by an old friend who asks something in return.

Burn Notice: Series Creator Talks Season 3

Burn Notice returned last night for the second half of its sophomore season. The season opener saw Michael (Jeffrey Donovan) alive after the explosion at his apartment. Forced to work for the very people who burned him, Michael now sees the bomber as his chance to get a leg up and ultimately find out who is pulling the strings.

While there's a lot to look forward to this season, series creator and executive producer Matt Nix hints that there's even more to get excited about when Burn Notice airs its third season. As reported previously, the spy drama has already been renewed by the USA network for yet another run after delivering 2.76 million last season.

USA Announces Resume Dates for 'Psych' and 'Monk' Plus Sci Fi Adds Reruns of 'Moonlight'

Sci Fi and USA networks welcome the New Year with new episodes of their signature series. According to The Futon Critic, which has exclusively confirmed the networks' plans, Monk and Psych will resume their current seasons on Friday, January 9 at 9/8c and 10/9c, respectively.

Psych, which stars James Roday a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara, California Police Department whose "heightened observational skills" him to convince people that he is psychic, has recently been renewed by the USA network for a fourth season after a record-breaking summer. Monk, on the other hand, is presently on its seventh season and has just reached the 100th episode milestone before the show went into a summer season hiatus.

USA Network Renews 'Burn Notice' and 'Psych'

Burn Notice and Psych have been picked up by the USA Network for a third and fourth season respectively after a record-breaking summer. Both programs reportedly captured the coveted 18-49 demo last season, with the spy drama delivering 2.76 million and the dramedy attracting 2.24 million for that key audience.

Psych stars James Roday as Shawn Spencer, a young crime consultant for the Santa Barbara, California Police Department whose "heightened observational skills" him to convince people that he is psychic. The series also stars Dulé Hill as Shawn's best friend Burton "Gus" Guster, as well as Corbin Bernsen as Shawn's father, Henry. Season 3 premiered on July 18 and after eight episodes, the show went on hiatus. The next new installment will be a Christmas-themed episode scheduled to air on November 28, with the rest of the third season resuming in January 2009.

'Burn Notice' Airs Mid-Season Finale Tonight

'Stargate' Star Joins 'Burn Notice'

Stargate star Michael Shanks adds Burn Notice to his acting resume, landing a recurring role on the USA Network espionage drama. Shanks will play the role of Victor, a blacklisted spy sent to Miami by Carla, played by Tricia Helfer, the new handler of the blacklisted spy and lead Michael Westen, played by Jeffrey Donovan. Shanks is only too happy to play the role, as Burn Notice has been receiving acclaim from the critics.

"It's one of those roles where I get to chew every bit of scenery in town," says the 37-year-old Canadian, "which is always fun to play. When you have that kind of artistic license to go big or go home, it can be a bit of a romp."

Sharon Gless Talks About Motherly Love on 'Burn Notice'

After just one season, critics are raving about Burn Notice, which is already being called one of the most underrated shows today. When we left Michael Westen, masterly played by Jeffrey Donovan on Burn Notice's season 1, he was as good as dead, his family and associates thought he was, at least. He was issued a burn notice, basically an official statement from intelligence agencies disenfranchising a spy, declaring him unemployable and unreliable for one reason or another, freezing his assets, and being under threat of being killed if you leave one predetermined location. It's a fate almost as bad as death, Westen finds out.

Battlestar Galactica: Six and Starbuck Speak

FOX Makes Scorching Deal with 'Burn Notice' Creator

FOX has set its fiery eyes on Matt Nix, creator of Burn Notice. The network has come up with an overall deal that allows Nix to continue producing the spy dramedy, which returns for a second season this summer on the USA Network, and at the same time, develop new projects for FOX.

Among the new projects is an action comedy script in the vein of Burn Notice, the series about an international spy who suddenly gets blacklisted and his efforts to find out who burned him and why. This time, however, the potential pilot will be set in the world of law enforcement.

Battlestar Cast News: 'CSI' Snubs Sackhoff, Helfer to 'Burn Notice'

If you're a fan of Battlestar Galactica and CSI:, prepare to be disappointed. Really, super-duper disappointed. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello is reporting that Katee Sackhoff (who plays Starbuck on Battlestar Galactica, but you already knew that) was tantalizingly close to joining the cast of CSI as Jorja Fox's kinda, sorta replacement. The new character, named Bryce Adams, was set to be a series regular. Executive producers and show runners were all jacked up and ready to welcome Sackhoff to the CSI family. They basically thought it was a done deal, according to Ausiello. However, at the last minute, executives from CBS and Jerry Bruckheimer's production company got cold feet. They didn't feel Katee was right for the role, apparently, and now the search for Bryce Adams has been re-opened.

'Burn Notice' Star Says He's Not as Charming as His Character

USA Network's new spy series, Burn Notice, has turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the summer. The show, which airs on basic cable, averages 4 million viewers every week, and was recently renewed for a second season. Burn Notice: Episode 3, "Fight or Flight" Recap

Michael Westen (Jeffrey Donovan) and his cronies entertain us this week on Burn Notice with lessons they've learned from the mysterious and cutthroat world of international espionage. Michael makes a motion detector ring his cell phone when it is tripped. Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) teaches us that throwing Molotov cocktails at the bad guys' cars before they get out of them is a good way to make them leave. While Sam's (Bruce Campbell) contribution to the Burn Notice crew (besides his love of beer, women and going pants-less) is to use the Feds (who have been using him to keep tabs on Michael) to help out this week's client, with them none the wiser. Gotta love the spy business.

But the more interesting aspects of Burn Notice are revealed in the continuous undercurrent of Michael's personal life – the life he has kept himself removed from during all of his years in the spy business. Being forced to reside in his home town, with both his mom (Sharon Gless) and his ex-girlfriend close at hand, is forcing Michael to deal with all of the things about him and his life that he has buried deep, deep down. He is emotionally-handicapped, and everyone seems to know that but him. That is the kind of stuff that makes Burn Notice special, and not "just another spy show" on television. This episode scrapes a little bit more off of Michael's protective spy coating, and the title of "Fight or Flight" can relate to both the plot and to Michael's response to that personal life. He would rather pick a fight or run away, than deal with anything involving emotions. This made him a terrific spy, but a horrible son and boyfriend.

Burn Notice: Episode 2, "Identity" Recap

When I first saw the promos for Burn Notice, all it took was for Jeffrey Donovan's face to flash on the screen and I knew that I would be giving this show a look. I first discovered Donovan on the short-lived show Touching Evil, which also aired on the USA network back in 2004. The man makes an impression. He is a leading man with the facial expressions of a character actor. No matter what he does, he is fun to watch. After seeing the pilot episode of Burn Notice last week, I see that my memory served me correctly.

From the looks of the numbers for the pilot episode, Burn Notice attracted other USA watchers as well. Donovan's character, Michael Westen, a government spy who has been "burned" (ex-communicated by the agency), is a refreshingly different take on the spy business. Michael has been burned, but he doesn't know why and he doesn't know who burned him. He got dumped off in his hometown of Miami with all of his accounts frozen and the Feds tailing him. He desperately wants to clear his name, but has no money, no clues, and a blacklisted reputation.
