Showrunner Hints on Kevin and Scotty Story on 'Brothers and Sisters'

With David Marshall Grant taking the helm for Brothers and Sisters, he has to deal with the questions that its fans and the media have for him. Since becoming the new showrunner, he's able to dish on the storylines for this season of the ABC drama. One of these is, of course, the surrogacy plans of characters Kevin and Scotty.

Aside from the Luc-Sarah romance, Kitty's cancer and Nora's new flame, there's the big issue facing the gay couple. Grant teased what's in store for these two on an interview with After Elton, and it looks as though things will be getting even more interesting soon.

A spell of success is due for the family as Ojai's newest wine is submitted at a local wine festival. The Walkers can't contain their enthusiasm, all the while wishing this opportunity would be able to bring the company another sensation.

The storyline on Brothers and Sisters has been getting its much-needed boost thanks to Gilles Marini. Sometimes, even the main plot of Kitty's cancer isn't enough to keep the show going. Instead, it's the Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) and Luc romance that's storming up the series' ratings.

Actor Gilles Marini has hinted to Entertainment Weekly that he's currently enjoying his appearance on the ABC show, and, like the fans, hopes to stay there longer. "I'm on Brothers and Sisters, you know?" he said. "It can't get better than that. Everyone there is acting royalty. It's been an American Dream, the whole nine yards."

If the title isn't much of a clue, then here's the preview for tonight's Brothers and Sisters episode. "The Wig Party" brings the Walkers together once again, but it won't be all fun and games for the family. More drama's heading our way as usual. In addition to a smidge of romance, of course.

"The Wig Party" has Nora (Sally Field) meet a new man in her life. She's taking quite a risk with this guy, since he's an oncologist in the hospital where Kitty (Calista Flockhart) is being treated for cancer.

'Brothers and Sisters' Writer Turns Showrunner

Changes are underway on ABC's Brothers and Sisters, and one of the major ones is happening behind the scenes. According to TV Guide, there's a new boss that's handling the show. He's not new to the whole series, of course, since he's been writing for it for years.

David Marshall Grant has been promoted to showrunner position, taking the reins from Monica Breen and Allison Schapker. The two have been managing Brothers and Sisters since the WGA writers' strike ended, and while they will no longer be showrunners, they'll still be around.

Playing Republican Senator Robert McAllister for four seasons on Brothers and Sisters must have had quite an effect on actor Rob Lowe. It's obvious he truly enjoys portraying that character of his on TV, but is it really a surprise that that might take over his career?

Lowe told The Press Association that he hasn't quite ruled out the option of going into politics. Apparently, it's not just the role that's driven him to think about working in that field; he just really likes the whole environment and the challenges it brings.

Guest star Gilles Marini is back tonight on Brothers and Sisters, so there's got to be more love as the Frenchman Luc Laurent gets together with the Walkers. However, facing a lot of obstacles in life has made the family wary of strangers and it's not so easy for them to accept the newcomer. Still, they do what they can so that Sarah's new romance feels welcome.

On "Last Tango in Pasadena," Luc faces judgment as he deals with the Walkers. Most of them accept him easily. He teaches Justin (Dave Annable) and Rebecca (Emily Vancamp) how to dance the tango, and the family is swept off their feet and charmed. Unfortunately, Nora (Sally Field) isn't that sold.

Luc the Lover Might Stay Longer on 'Brothers and Sisters'

It sounds as though romance is going to be a staple on this season of Brothers and Sisters. There was the engagement of Rebecca (Emily VanCamp) to Justin (Dave Annable), then there's Robert (Rob Lowe) patching things up with Kitty (Calista Flockhart). Now, with Sarah (Rachel Griffiths) coming home from France, there's another relationship on the rise.

On his TV Guide interview, Gilles Marini, who was a guest-star on the last episode "From France with Love" hinted that his appearances on Brothers and Sisters may be more than expected. He first appeared as a suitor of Sarah's, but the actor revealed that this could simply "be more than a fling" for the two of them.

While the story is actually absurdly comic, we can't help but feel sorry for Brothers and Sisters star Matthew Rhys. A report from Contact Music has confirmed that the 34-year-old actor was mugged by a pregnant woman in his native country Wales. He was with his pal, Fantastic Four star Ioan Gruffudd at the time and both of them were apparently tipsy.

Having passed out drunk from Gruffudd's birthday at their favorite pub, Matthew Rhys faced a desperate mother-to-be on the street. HBO, Showtime, ABC Get Plus Points from GLAAD

Yet again, HBO is leading the pack for having the most portrayals--and the most positive portrayals--of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LBGT) characters on their shows, according to a report from the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, or GLAAD.

The organization's third Network Responsibility Index saw HBO score the highest rating and a "Good" grade, with 42% of its programming featuring LGBT characters. The cable network is home to shows such as True Blood, Entourage and No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency, all of which have prominent LGBT characters.

ABC'S 2009-2010 Lineup: 11 New Shows

ABC unveiled its Fall schedule today and it features an ambitious lineup of new series to premiere all season long.?? The schedule features eight new shows, including a Wednesday night that contains nothing but new programs.?? This is identical to the strategy ABC used two years ago when it premiered three new hour-long shows on Wednesdays.

The new Wednesday, however, features four new half-hour comedies which I will tentatively title the Back to You reject lineup, as three of the sitcoms star former cast members of that failed FOX sitcom, including Kelsey Grammer, Patricia Heaton and Ty Burrell.?? The other big change to the schedule is that Ugly Betty has been bumped to Fridays, wedged between Supernanny and 20/20.
