Every year thousands of people flock to San Diego Comic-Con International, the Holy Land of pop culture and overall geekery for 4 days of nerd-tastic bliss. While the convention does not technically start until Thursday, each year they have a "Preview Night" for those attending the full 4-day event. Preview Night typically has no panels or special autographs, but it does give people the chance to explore the exhibit hall and become familiar so they can hit the ground running first thing Thursday morning.

Will the Arrested Development movie ever see the light of day? That's a question that only time will tell as producers Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard are still trying to close deals for their much-awaited project. But there's a way to catch Arrested Development actors Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Henry Winkler all together on the small screen in yet another Hurwitz's creation as FOX heads back to school with the series Sit Down, Shut Up.

Premiering on April 19 on FOX, Sit Down, Shut Up marks the latest animated comedy joining the network's Sunday Animation Domination lineup. The show revolves around the dysfunctional faculty and staff at a high school in a small Florida fishing town who care more about their own insecurities and agendas than about the needs of their students. The series is also based on the hit live-action Australian series with animation set against a live-action backdrop, and attempts to satirize modern society and most formative authority figures: teachers.

Arrested Development the movie has always been a hot topic to fans of the critically acclaimed but short-lived FOX series. Several months ago, BuddyTV reported that a film based on the dysfunctional Bluth family is finally on the horizon, according to Jason Bateman, who plays lead protagonist Michael Bluth. But it seems that the concept has moved closer to reality with Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard reportedly closing deals for the project from Imagine and Fox Searchlight.

This marks the most solid Arrested Development movie update so far. In the past, there have been hints that a film based on the series was in the works with merely cast members backing it up. However, fans have rolled their eyes at every tease.

Two months ago, we reported that Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Henry Winkler will soon be reuniting in yet another Mitch Hurwitz's creation. At the time, however, the report revealed that their reunion won't be taking place in the much awaited Arrested Development film, which has been rumored ever since the FOX comedy was canceled. Instead, it will be on the new FOX animated comedy Sit Down, Shut Up, which is based on a live-action Australian series.

Now, Arrested Development fans will be pleased to know that a movie based on the dysfunctional Bluth family is finally on the horizon.

Jason Bateman, also known as Justine Bateman's brother and more familiar to television audiences as Michael Bluth on the now-defunct Arrested Development, is hot commodity these days. While his claim to fame has primarily been for his work in front of the camera, Bateman has been in demand of late for his skills behind the lens.

Most recently, Bateman was tapped to direct his first pilot, “Do Not Disturb,” which subsequently became the lone live-action comedy to be picked up by FOX. On the heels of his pilot directorial triumph, Bateman has just signed a first-look deal with 20th Century Fox TV that officially locks him in to produce and direct scripts for them for a year.

Raising a son as a single father can't be easy, especially when you're Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman), trying to balance fatherly duties with managing one of the most dysfunctional families ever put on TV in Arrested Development. Michael tries his hardest to be a good guy in a genetic pool infested by amorality. Though finding love is often a problem for him (unless it's with a mentally retarded British woman), Michael doesn't let that fruitless pursuit interfere with spending time with his son. In honor of Mother's Day, BuddyTV has compiled this list of our 10 favorite motherly moments.

No one should mistake Arrested Development's Lucille Bluth (Jessica Walter) for a good mother. In one episode, she goes so far as to admit “I don't care for GOB,” one of her sons. Yet in the second season, when Buster is about to be sent to the war in Iraq (which, it should be noted, she signed him up for), Lucille prays for divine intervention to keep her baby boy safe. It's perhaps the only motherly act she performs throughout the entire series, and it results in Buster having his hand bitten off (by a loose seal), but still, Lucille is too brilliant a character to leave off this list.

Given the day, it seems only appropriate that we would pay respect to the most laid back, easy-going group of all: the stoners. April 20 is as close as we come to having a Nation Weed Smoking Day in this country, so what better way to celebrate here at BuddyTV than to reflect on our favorite pot-smoking television characters. Well, I imagine you could think of one or two better ways.

For this list, we've put together five of our favorite television characters with reefer madness. Sure, there are many characters who've experimented, such as Seth Cohen from The O.C. or Ross on Friends, but for this list, we wanted honest-to-God, red-blooded, bong lovers. And indeed, we've found characters who all have a need...a need for weed.

He appeared to be self-sacrificing and sensible in making decisions. On the other hand, he was also perceived as someone who behaves unethically with a false sense of superiority. After his father, George Sr., got arrested, he was forced to take charge of the family business despite the constant manipulation and materialism of other family members.
