I'm a huge fan of Joss Whedon and I'm generally obsessed with Firefly. I haven't had the time to make a fan vid about it yet, but believe me, I will. So, imagine my utter despair as Joss Whedon told me that Firefly is over. "No one's ever given me the slightest hope," he said when asked about the franchise. I might be naive, but that's not the answer I was expecting. Comic books, straight to dvd, nothing?

Exclusive Video Interview: Comic-Con Red Carpet with the cast of 'Warehouse 13'

Checked out Warehouse 13 yet? Because you should. The newest sci-fi series to hit the block is coming off strong. Remember that part in Indiana Jones where there was that warehouse full of a bunch of ancient stuff? Yeah, well, that's the plot of Warehouse 13. Except this is a super secret government warehouse run by this crazy guy named Artie Nielsen, played by Saul Rubinek. He sends out these two hot (sizzling hot) agents named Myka and Pete to collect new artifacts with strange and mythological powers.

Exclusive Video Interview: Comic-Con Red Carpet with Richard Hatch of the 'Battlestar Galactica' Series

Meeting Richard Hatch has always been a sort of dream of mine. Not necessarily because he played Captain Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica or because he played Tom Zerik in the new BSG, but more because he's incredibly passionate about the franchise. In many ways, Hatch is as big of a fan as we all are, he just had the pleasure and the privilege of being involved in such wonderful projects.

That being said, no one is a bigger advocate of Battlestar's continued success than Richard Hatch. He really wants more people to watch the series, more movies to come of it and even more spinoffs and reboots. We talked to him for quite a while about a potential reboot of the original and whether or not he'd be involved. What would a reboot look like? Where do you draw the line? Where's the appeal for new audiences?

5 Simple Reasons Why You Should Watch 'Glee'

I know you've probably heard a lot about Glee in the past couple months. Maybe you heard about it in May when FOX decided to air the pilot episode after the finale of American Idol. That was weird, right? I mean, what network wants to air the first episode of a television show and then ask its audience to wait months and months until the next episode? What kind of audience can you garner with a move like that? Maybe you heard about it after the iTunes sales of the singles from said pilot skyrocketed. Here are these professionally recorded songs from a TV show, ready to be purchased days after the episode aired. And the wonderful thing is that they're really good.

Now I know what you're thinking: It's a musical. You don't do musicals. Maybe you're a dude (doooood!) who wouldn't be caught dead watching a singing, dancing piece of joy. I ask you to suspend that hegemonic mentality for a second and hear me out. Glee is more than just a musical... it's an awesome musical. But it's even more than that. To explain this, I've laid out the key reasons why you should give Glee a chance. I'm doing this for you, so pay attention.

BuddyTV at Comic-Con: Video Interview with Josh Holloway of Lost

The Lost panel was a huge hit at this year's International Comic-Con in San Diego. The producers shocked us all with multiple surprises, including several principle actors. On hand to help with a "we swear this isn't made up" bit was the island's biggest rebel and resident hottie Josh Holloway. We had an opportunity to chat with our favorite Southern gentleman about Sawyer's transformation last season and what he expects for him this last season.

Exclusive Video Interview: Comic-Con Red Carpet with Jim Beaver of 'Supernatural'

We hope you enjoy seeing a lot of Jim Beaver because you'll be seeing a lot more of him on Supernatural this year. We caught up with him at the EW and SyFy Comic-Con party and got the inside scoop on Supernatural, Harper's Island, and Jim Beaver in general. Fans will be happy to know Uncle Bobby has a much bigger role this season. With the apocalypse on the horizon, we're glad he can be there to give our favorite boys some much needed support.

However, something major happens with Beaver's character very early on this season. There's no real hint as to what it could be but we do know that the story line even surprised and shocked Jim Beaver who says it came out of nowhere (but is awesome, of course).

Exclusive Video Interview: Comic-Con Red Carpet with Sam Trammell and Michelle Forbes of 'True Blood'

Are you totally enthralled by True Blood season 2? So are we. Luckily, I was able to catch up with two of the main characters at the EW and SyFy Comic-Con party on Saturday night. Fresh out of their hugely successful panel, Sam Trammell and Michelle Forbes stopped in for a quick question or two.

They don't give away much but some of the key points of the season finale slipped out. With alien mythology creeping into the mix, BuddyTV wanted to get the lowdown on this season from the highest source: Co-Creator Jaime Paglia. Lucky for us, Paglia attended EW and SyFy's Comic-Con party last Saturday night and we were able to grab him for a couple minutes to hear all about the "romance and intrigue" that will be coming up at the end of the season.

Paglia gives a few spoiler-ish hints about possible returning characters, possible hookups and the new mythology of the series. But, he wasn't all business while at the party, he also told us of his favorite episode this season and why he likes it so much.

Comic-Con 2009: 'Epitaph One' and So Many Other Reasons to Buy Dollhouse on DVD

For those of you that don't know, Joss Whedon premiered the mysterious thirteenth episode at Comic-Con in San Diego over the weekend. Whedon created the episode entitled "Epitaph One" and when Fox saw the intended Dollhouse season finale, they pulled its air date. No reasons were really given at the time. We assumed Fox didn't like it as an ending and after watching it, I can see why.

Before I begin with the explanation, let me just say that the episode is amazing. The entire audience at the Dollhouse panel was on the edge of their seats applauding with every "commercial break" (there weren't commercial breaks, just the standard couple seconds of black screen to indicate where they would be). It was a daring, jolting hour of television that should be admired for its quality acting, technical brilliance and ballsy story line. I will try to explain everything without being too spoilery but I can't promise anything. definitely felt in the room during the show's Comic-Con panel on
Sunday. There wasn't a vacant chair in the room, and with the whole
cast appearing - including Tom Welling who has never appeared at
Comic-Con - the crowd was in high spirits.

The panel began with a never-before-seen sneak peek trailer for season
9 which included scenes with The Green Arrow, Black Canary, Impulse,
Cyborg, Zatania, Martian Manhunter, Supergirl, The Legion, Chloe as The
Watchtower, and a very steamy Lois and Clark love scene, oh my. Hold on

panel. This year's panel was much different than the years before. The
mood was different, it seemed... quieter. I blame it on the fact that
Jared and Jensen could not be there. Creator Eric Kripke did say "The
boys send their love" and when that didn't cheer up the crowd he added
"They are shirtless and send their love." The fan-girls, however, were
not left without eye candy as this time around Comic-Con vets Kripke
and writers Sera Gamble and Ben Edlund brought along first-timers Misha
Collins (Castiel) and Jim Beaver (Bobby).

In last year's Supernatural panel, Kripke showed the first five
minutes of the season 4 premiere and I think every finger in the room
was crossed that he would make that a trend. While we didn't get the
first 5 minutes, we did get a middle five minutes. Kripke explained
this is because season 4 closed with a sort of cliffhanger and he
didn't want to give away the opening to season 5 right away.
Comic-Con 2009: Charlaine Harris and Alan Ball Join Forces for 'True Blood' Panel

Fans of the Sookie Stackhouse series as well as fans of the True Blood series were pleased to see both powerhouses on stage Saturday night. One thing was made clear (SPOILER ALERT), the Bill, Sookie, and Eric love triangle will play out just as it is written in the novels.

For those of you that haven't read the novels, that shouldn't spoil much. One thing was clear: Glee is unlike anything we've ever seen on television before. The mixture of drama, comedy and musical is delightful and refreshing. The pilot episode, which premiered after the American Idol finale is slowly gaining more and more fans. exactly what's coming up, as detailed storylines were given for all of
the major characters. Throw in a lesbian kiss with Claire, and you
have one jam-packed panel.

The kiss is obviously the big story for anyone who likes
sensationalism, though the producers tried to play it down and claim it
was just friendly and isn't a big deal. If it's not a big deal, why
show it at Comic-Con? Other than kissing women, Claire will once again
be trying to live a normal life, going off to college. I guess the
writers don't actually learn from their mistakes, because every season
starts out with Claire wanting to be a normal teenager, and every year
that falls apart.
Comic-Con 2009: Old Faces Return for Final Season of 'Lost'

The Lost panel at Comic-Con is always a big deal, which is somewhat
surprising given the relatively small amount of information they
actually give out. Masterminds Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof don't
say much and they don't give away any huge secrets, so the trick is to
read between the lines.

For instance, during the panel they showed a montage of memorable dead
characters, ending with Charlie. After it was over, Dominic Monaghan
stepped on stage to wave hello. Is this just a coincidence? After
all, Monaghan was already at Comic-Con because he's the newest cast

the Chuck panel served up to a roomful of very faithful, very dedicated
fans. Ballroom 20 was filled to capacity with eager fans ready to find
The panel started with a look back at season 2, then showed everybody
what happened in creator Josh Schwartz's office "One month later"
(though it was obviously just for laughs). The video showed Schwartz
telling a now bearded star Zachary Levi that the show will not be
picked up. Then the phone rings. It's NBC with the news that Chuck is
being picked up for a third season. Levi exits the office to shave and
work on his Kung-Fu in excitement to film a new season while Schwartz
and co-creator Chris Fedak are left behind disappointed.

Comic-Con 2009: Joss Whedon Talks 'Dollhouse' Season 2 and The Missing Episode

First off, let me say that Joss Whedon is as clever in person as he is via scriptwriting. First and foremost, Whedon and Eliza Dushku had one very important message for their fans: "We're here because of you." Neither hid the fact that Dollhouse was very close to being canceled. So close, both admitted to being surprised when it was renewed although they were extremely humbled by the overwhelming support of the diehard Dollhouse fans. If you remember, BuddyTV was the main force behind the web/twitter revolution.

Joss Whedon even joked that Dollhouse was renewed because he found some really talented people to "fudge" the numbers. Enron maybe? He also alluded to TiVo/DVR viewers being the deciding factor in Dollhouse's renewal. That's not new news to most, but it's good news for the upcoming season. If FOX keeps Dollhouse in the Friday night slot, nightly numbers won't matter as much as if it were a Monday through Thursday show.

Comic-Con 2009: A Plot to Kill the President on '24' Season 8

Today's Comic-Con panel for 24 revealed quite a few details about what
fans will see when the show returns in 2010 for the eighth longest day
in Jack Bauer's life. There are new details on the characters, the
terrorist plot, and gunplay.

According to producers, the main plot for season 8 will tie directly
into what happened during season 7, marking the first time two seasons
have had overlapping terrorist plots. However, season 8 will deal with
a new threat as there's a presidential assassination on the horizon.
Comic-Con 2009: New 'Battlestar Galactica' Projects "Will Blow Your Underpants Off"

This morning at Comic-Con, an all-encompassing Battlestar Galactica
panel paved the way for all things BSG now that the flagship series has
come to a close. The panel was held to preview to major events, the
BSG TV movie The Plan and the new series Caprica. Perhaps most
importantly, Caprica finally has a premiere date for the series:
January 22, 2010.

For Caprica, creator Ronald D. Moore promises that even though it's
about the origin of the Cylons, there will still be plenty of conflict
and antagonists. The show gives the writers a chance to explore the 12
different planets, and through those differences they have the option
to explore war and discrimination.
funnier) than ever. Now that America's favorite serial killer is a new
husband and father, his life is considerably more complicated.

At the show's Comic-Con panel on Thursday, they revealed a preview
trailer for season 4. In it, we learn that Dexter Morgan is struggling
to balance his lives as a blood analyst, father, husband and killer.
Some of the cute moments involving him awkwardly taking his new baby on
the road while talking to the newborn about killing people are as weird
and darkly funny as Dexter has ever been.

Lost: The Comic-Con Panel's "The Cher Farewell Tour"

It is going to be over, this Lost thing. Eighteen hours more, in fact, which definitely makes their panel at this year's Comic-Con all the more special.

"As Carlton [Cuse] says, it's 'the Cher farewell tour,'" executive producer Damon Lindelof told TVGuide.com. "So he will be performing 'Believe' in a unitard."

Cuse even promised hair extensions. No, really.

Comic-Con 2009: Depp and Burton Reveal 'Alice in Wonderland' Trailer

Tim Burton brought more with him to 2009 San Diego Comic-Con this year than just exclusive scenes from his upcoming, fantastical take on Alice in Wonderland. But that was enough to create some major on- and offline hysteria.

After the jump, read a description of the exclusive Alice footage, and check out the teaser trailer for the film, which is set for March 2010 release.

Comic-Con 2009: 'Twilight' Stars Discuss 'New Moon' Roles, Romance, Rising Fan Hysteria

It's the definition of mania. Twi-hard fans from across the globe began gathering days ago at the San Diego Convention Center, camping out for a chance to hear New Moon stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner discuss the upcoming film, the second in the ever-growing Twilight franchise.

Information is still seeping out from the press conference, which took place at 9:30 AM PST on Thursday. Hoards of young and old fans packed the convention's first massive event, a fitting kick-off for what promises to be a Twilight-soaked weekend.

"It seems to keep building, the magnitude of this franchise," Pattinson said during the press conference, the evidence clearly right in front of him.

"It's awesome that we get to see them all waiting for us again a year later," said Lautner of the fans.

READ ON FOR MORE FROM THE TWILIGHT NEW MOON PRESS CONFERENCE.
Comic-Con 2009: The Obscenely Long Line for 'New Moon'

Today at 1:45pm, PST, Comic-Con held a panel for three films from Summit Entertainment. More than 500 people camped out over night for a spot in the room, and as the panel neared, the line grew to almost 7,000 people. I'm guessing they were all there for the new Audrina Patridge film Sorority Row.

Either that or New Moon. Based on this photo our reporter took of the line extending out and around the convention center, I'm starting to think this Twilight thing might actually be catching on,
The Not-So-Incredible Hulk Seeks Professional Help at Comic-Con

It hasn't been the easiest life for Lou Ferrigno. His former bodybuilding foe is now the governor of California, and he recently lost a job training Michael Jackson for the planned concert tour. So I guess the Incredible Hulk is feeling a bit depressed and needs some professional help.

It's only the first day of Comic-Con, but I doubt there will be another photograph as unintentionally hilarious as this one. Much like the guy who caught President Barack Obama checking out that chick's butt, this photographer happened to be at the right place at the right time and snapped this pitch perfect picture of Ferrigno at Comic-Con.
