10 Things I Hate About You kicked off Tuesday night on ABC Family and received generally favorable reviews from various critics. The high school comedy adapted from the 1999 Heath Ledger-Julia Stiles big-screen modernization of Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew" has made high school angst quite entertaining. And while there are only a few likable things, there really isn't much to hate about the show. If you liked the first episode, then you're probably wondering what's in store for the Stratford sisters, Bianca (Meaghan Jette Martin) and Kat (Lindsey Shaw), and the rest of the gang.

Almost exactly ten years after 10 Things I Hate About You was released, ABC Family is set to premiere the television adaptation of the romcom that became the breakout vehicle of Julia Stiles and the late Heath Ledger. 10 Things I Hate About You will debut tonight at 8pm.

As with the movie, on the pilot we meet sisters who are dual opposites - Kat (Lindsey Shaw), who is adamant to not fit in, and Bianca (Meaghan Jette Martin), who is determined to be the most popular girl in their new school. They have clear goals set up, until one day the steadfast Kat meets the similarly intense outcast Patrick (Ethan Peck), and sparks begin to fly. Pat's character, of course, was played by Ledger, while Kat's, by Stiles.

Based on the film of the same name, 10 Things I Hate About You is a sitcom focusing on the lives of the Stratford sisters as they navigate high school. Bianca (Meaghan Jette Martin) and sister Kat (Lindsey Shaw) are new to Padua High. However, they know that strategy is the key to their survival.

Polar opposites, the sisters find their way past the harsh realities of growing up amidst nerds and cheerleaders. Social butterfly Bianca is desperate to become popular, hoping to do whatever it takes to be queen of the school. Meanwhile, strong-willed Kat is an in-your-face feminist who's out to save the world once she escapes high school.
