Tonight on Eleventh Hour, Special Science Advisor to the FBI Jacob Hood is going to have a hard time dealing with one of humankind's basic necessities: food. On “Agro,” Hood and his partner, Special Agent Rachel Young, have to solve the mystery before it's too late. If they don't accomplish their task, many will suffer and eventually experience a painful death.
“Agro” takes the team to North Carolina, where a family mysteriously becomes paralyzed after eating. Apparently, evidence suggested that they had a simple, organic dinner that didn't appear to be harmless at first. Later on, Dr. Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell) discovers that the food was housing a genetically modified agricultural fungus. He traces it afterwards to a company that specializes in pesticides.

Eleventh Hour has recently made its debut on CBS, with British actor Rufus Sewell heading the show. He already has a thriving career both on stage and on film, but he decided that taking over the small screen was another good option. On the series, he portrays biophysicist Jacob Hood alongside Marley Shelton who plays his female bodyguard.
Sewell was previously seen in movies like A Knight's Tale and The Illusionist, but his role in the new CBS program is something else. After playing villains, he took the part of a crime-fighting man of science. Wired.com got a chance to talk to the actor, and asked him how he's dealing with the change.

Last week on CBS’ Eleventh Hour, we saw Special Science Advisor to the FBI Jacob Hood (Rufus Sewell) deal with some issues regarding food. Along with his partner, Special Agent Rachel Young (Marley Shelton), Hood headed to North California, where a family mysteriously became paralyzed after eating a meal. The investigation soon turned up and they found out that the family was having an organic dinner which looked pretty normal, but upon taking a closer look, Hood discovered that the food was infected with a genetically modified agricultural fungus. The investigators soon traced this fungus to a company which dealt with pesticides.
Later, Hood decided to take on the bigger picture as another family experienced the same symptoms. He then set out for some damage control.
