Paradox and Pains of Popularity

Centering our discussion on our highlighted, much loved yet preferring low-profiling, our Tate Donovan. He got a milieu of friends and Budd(y)ies, not capitalized on their supports, he built his own heights through sheer diversed, natural talents. Not a sensationalist because he is a quality actor, thereby he remained constant, not as an incidental star but a sure-footed oak which never seem to fade, unfazed by the tread of uncertain, vacillating and erratic trends of fad, modes and disoriented fans. Tate Donovan withstood so far these ills. Desired, undesired, under-rated still hitting the big time, Donovan shall have big days ahead at a momentum when his peers struggle, clawing on to headlines. Being his own collateral, his foes are almost nil. Great personalities, inflated celebrities shall have their days, but the awed, the revered, the cherished, intrinsically adored have gone down to eternity, posthumously celebrated. Their few devotees with more relaxed liberty, for thei

Remaining alive in stardom's realms is a matter of guts. It's rewards are either or even both extremes. It is unforgiving, merciless and sadistic. Aspiring stars should "Don" steely audacity. It can't be intimidated or repulsed even when the odds are clear.

Apparently it is the staying-on- top that matters for a pop icon. Paradoxes are myriad, in all forms of size, shape and texture. The pains are the common denominator, the sweetest at least is the popularity.. Keeping ones' image is another issue when it does shaken up, it has to be refurbished. What is the entire issue? When one is at the top, there is no other way than down. Tate can always find leeways to curb the "threats". He has ingenuity to handle the "hoe", sharpen it or transform it . There are goodies a-plenty in his versatile person.

It is certainly true to a certain extent, popularity makes a celebrity a public "property". Initially, if one gets aware of followers, e.g. fans, impressarios or promoters, reporters, paparazzis.. one's self-esteem undergoes pressure. Such pressure(s) is testy on an artist. How he may react depends on the built-character he cultivated for himself. In connection to Tate's diplomacy, he is a relaxed figure, being himself, never attempting to be high falluting. He is himself off the camera, top-grade artist on camera, leading a respectable social life, a paragon to young aspiring artists. Give the entertainment industry a neater image, give future patrons quality works worth perpetuating.

Tate is among the handful celebrities I have been admiring for quite sometime. If only the extent of fans' faithfulness be taken credible, I surmise brilliant celebrities shall live on in the limelight.

Shall we touch on pains, whereas it's most dominating, one can barely ignore. Pains all over, that popularity is bound to be spelled with. Not all media promoters are out to promote. They're all after their own skins. Popularity entails craft and cunningness knowing how to maneuver the bluffs and snares of "witty" entertainment columnists. You, well-versed how Tate Donovan how some months ago was interviewed attempting to wring out blood from his lips. The objective was obvious. Tate fumbled for words keeping loyalty his shield...who was that ß<<<? Don't name that one, it's slanderous. Tate can keep his composure, amazing!

Are popular people be envied? In no way. In more ways than one, they are the object of criticism or even ridicule. Others, with more favor, are adored and admired. When the latter is the case, the fan(s) and admirer(s) becomes the butt of joke. Being an avid follower of Tate Donovan I was only met with query and in the end they agree with me in awe of the modest publicity Tate has been regarded with. It's a crowded world indeed but should we lose our own values, in tastes, in sense?

A pop icon, a celebrity or a rated star, a respected artist never has a mind to disappoint his crowd of avid supporters. That's irrefutable. He has always to fend himself from tirades, everywhere, some choose to ignore revilings (that's tough nut, true!) which could develop into image fracas, otherwise it can be a medium to polish his name. Which ever way it may lead, abuses, verbal or not, do require accounting. Tate Donovan had not exposed any ill responses to rude or libelous remarks. He knows and is yielded to a life embroiled in the tide of public pandemonium. Very flexible, intelligent too.

Popularity brings exposure, the public is a mean critic, they even choose to forget that celebrities are human. The green-eyed media abuse the situation to create scoops, garnering benefits at the expense... Everyone wants to live, so, popularity anyone? Tate is taking all these easy, he has fine friends in the entertainment arena.

Oh that we can have a precise and updated listings of Tate's achievements and roster of appearances, the international audience should feel indebted to such an enormously-gifted artist, before or behind the screen. His fame is pure, borne out of chaste Genius (this word should be underlined) vouching us, international audience, we got our money's worth in appreciating the stage or moving pictures! There are no gimmicks in Tate Donovan's popularity, ought I term it, Fame? No gimmicks, fellows, no gimmicks. It is his God-given genius.
