I've seen every season of Survivor but the 1st. I have never seen such a brilliant player as Russell. I can't believe that the high caliber of contestants that he played with,- couldn't see past their ego's and crown him with the tiltle he so deserved. It makes watching future seasons discouraging..

as you will see by my profile pic russell is my favorite survivor player but i feel he got screwed on season 19 (natalie should not have won) but this season russell had a good shot up until the last 4 or 5 episodes because he became so brazen in his moves that he had no chance of winning this season. jeff made a very very valliant point in that since season 1 the jury has been a key component in the rules of survivor. in russell's first season i felt he handled people perfect and he should have won but this season i think the fact that he was marooned on a island for 70 days played a factor on his psyche and it made him more enemies... there was no possible way he could win this season

The show like life is a popularity contest...NOT WHO OUTLASTED...OUTWITTED....AND OUTPLAYED the others...yes he made enemies along the way but he PLAYED THE GAME!!....and he is the MOST POPULAR PLAYER....$200,000 for that....and for me BOSTON ROB is the 2nd best player....

Watching Survivor is almost pointless. I feel Russ was robbed the chance to win both times due to people's jealousy. There are no rules to survival and he was able to make it to the top in back to back attempts on this show. Each time people rode his coattails and losing because he lacked his oppositions physical and charming personalities. Playing and winning survior should not be based on someones personality it should be played the way Russ had played the game...

Russell was by far the best player. He manipulations determined the course of the contest, plus he won some challenges. Parvati was good n the challenges but really was not effective strtegically. Sandra was just as undeserving as the last winner. Her only strategy of trying to oust Russell failed miserably and she never won a challenge in 2 seasons. She just lucked out. It's pretty sad that the people Russel had to manipulate voted with their heart rather than their head. The most disgusting thing for me was when Rupert called Russel a dispicable human being. It's a game Rupert. It shows how low class Rupert is. I don't recall Peyton Manning calling Drew Brees a dispicable human being after the colts got wooped by the saints.

always have been and always will be in camp russell but he got screwed season 19 not so much this season. HE SCREWED HIMSELF IN SEASON 20. i think jeff said it best at the reunion, the survivor format is clearly stated since season 1 that the game is played with 16-20 people and they have a hand in deciding who is worthy, yes he played a great game but that is what makes survivor different from all the other reality shows out there, you have to be smart cunning and yes still charming enough to have people say " well he screwed me out of 1 million dollars but he still deserves to win." Social tact is a big part of survivor and russell lacked any social skill this season

When Russell had a web site named after him "russellisajerk.com" he should have taken notice. In a few months, he will be hauling toxic waste in his beat up tank truck, and no one will know who he is, or give a dam about him any more!!

The last 2 winners left a very bad taste in my mouth. Boring people like Sandra (all talk but no action)or Natalie (pretty but useless) last tme are being rewarded. If contestants change their game in the future to be more like the people being rewarded no one would watch and the show would die. We watch because of people like Russel, Boston Rob, Parvati etc. Jeff says the format has been laid out since season the beginning but when people who are stategically and physically defunct keep winning it's time for a change. I disagree with Russell that America should vote. I feel the jury should be scrapped, let it go to a final two and let the winner be decided by a challenge or even two out of three challenges.

Russell's biggest issue is that he has NO social game. He even said that he doesn't care about the jury votes. He doesn't play to win. He plays to go to the final three. Well he should be happy because he did accomplish that both times. He will however never when because he is a jerk. It is always about him. He completely under estimated Parvati. She wasn't a coat tail rider. She played the game how she wanted to play the game. She is known to be a devious player but people still like her. She isn't cruel or a bully. Sandra one the game because the heroes on the jury realized that they shouldn't have been so stupid and not listened to her. If they would have it would have been heroes in final three.

I am so glad that Russell did not win. He is a total jerk with no morals, no personality and really nothing going for him at all. If he would have won what kind of message is being sent to our youth - that the worst possible person that you could be is the best way to succeed. We need to show our young people who watch reality TV that there is still a place for being nice and honest and just being an all around good person. You can succeed by being a good person as well. Would we want our children to turn out like Russell - I think not. I am glad that Sandra won. Maybe she did not do much but she was not a horrible person either. I believe the game is outlast and outwit and the way Russell played the game was totally dishonorable. Everybody may do a few dishonest things to win but he does not have an honest bone in his body. I would never have anything to do with a person like Russell.
