Yes MeganDear2 you are. Well me too. But there isn't a single episode that saw us that Dean or anybody else told Sam about it.

I don't think he knows..I think Lucifer is gonna tell Sam about who was to blame for the breaking of the first seal cause he wants the brothers pretty occupied in order to have fun on earth while the boys are trying to work things out!

I think he knows. Seems like I remember him saying it in a episode ...the difference is that Dean had no clue what he was doing where Sam was well aware that the last seal was the only one left and everyone was telling him not to trust a demon but he chose not to listen

You know in all honesty it wasn't the first seal that mattered ...it just got the ball rolling ...it was all the seals in between and the last that mattered
