Kurt as Prom Queen: Was it all a joke?

Report
Kurt pretty much freaked out when he was voted as Prom Queen on this week's Glee - he thought McKinley High didn't care whether he's gay anymore, but then he thought they were all making fun of him. And then he went up the stage, faced the music - and got an enthusiastic applause. So is McKinley High tolerant of Kurt's ilk now? Or is it all a joke? (And did the Glee writers deal with the plot well?)

I think so, but if this is true, Kurt will be amazing and I will vote for him if there was a vote

For me applause after a cruel joke haven't been confusing. As Kurt said, kids weren't brave enough to say what they think of him. They whispered behind his back and made him a Prom Queen. When he confront them, again, they haven't been brave enough to deal with it. If they hadn't applauded, Kurt would found out who took part in the vote. And not only him. Principal Figgins was on stage with Kurt. Students had no other option than accept Kurt's coronation and pretend they happy for him.
