It just kills me to see Donny and Kelly stay because they know how to network to get votes and Joanna really outperformed both of them. It is also funny that Marie Osmond said on ET, well I am afraid that Joanna is going to be the one to lose tonite---and how did Marie know that! Dancing with the Stars audience ratings are not based on performance it is solely based on popularity and that is a bunch of BULL! I will not watch it again, I now consider it a crappy reality show!

sandra i so agree i didnt know until this am she got eliminated..shouldnt be based on popularity but on how well they perform donna or kelly should have gone home instead they danced way better then donny and kelly such a crock

Could not have said it better. Thought this was about dancing not popularity. Why have dancing judges if the uneducated (on dancing) audience makes the final vote.

Could not have said it better. Why have judges for the dancing if it is only a popularity contest? Just call it what it is and not a dance contest. This final is a joke. Have just gotten a lot of free time on Mondays and Tuesday. Have no intention of ever watching this show again. The result will have nothing to do with how well they dance. This was a bid disappointment. UGH!!!!!

My wife got me into watching DWTS and I was every bit as wrapped up into it as she was; until now! I was so upset when Joanna was eliminated from the competition. She is by far the better dancer and proved it time and time again. As soon as it was announced that Donny wasn't eliminated and that it was coming down to Kelly and Joanna I got this HORRIBLE lump in my thoat. At that point I had this terrible feeling that I was about to witness ANOTHER unjust decision because of fan ballotting. Damn I hate being right all the time! As it was pointed out before, this is not a dance competition, it is a popularity contest. For that reason there doesn't seem to be any reason to have judges.

I hated to see Joanna go too, but they are voted on by the fans and think about it, Donny and Kelly have been in the limelife for a long time. Joanna is sorta a nobody. She was soooo georgeous when she was dancing and I sure hated to see her go too. I wasn't surprised though, due to the popularity votes....

I hate to tell you this, but it is a popularity contest. After every performance, Samantha Harris tells people to call in if "this was your favorite performance" and you don't even have to wait till the end of the show. This means you can vote after the first performance even though you have no clue how the others will dance - that alone shows it's not based on who is the best dancer. If it were solely based on the best dancer, it would be professionals all the way. That's what the "star" aspect brings with it; a fan base, thus a popularity contest.

I am glad Joanna was finally voted off. She should have been gone weeks ago. She can't dance to save her life. All she does in move her hips and very badly at that, she can't keep in time to the music. When she makes mistakes (which where many), she blames her partner. Look what happened when Derek was ill and she danced with Max. You are all complaining about the fans voting on popularity but what about when Kelly Monaco won in a previous season, it was only because of her soap fans that she won.

Obviously anyone who says Joanna cannot dance has no knowledge of what it takes to be a dancer. Joanna is graceful and elegant with ballroom and has excellent technical skills , developed over the season . Len Goodman is a master of judging as are the other judges...simply listen to them . All of them praised Joanna highly but guided her , as the others, with the proper criticism when needed. To say Joanna cannot dance is the most stupid, idiotic statment made by a person who has no intelligence

Joanna's watlz was beautiful to see, but they were putting on a show with her and Derek more than taking the competition serious. I am just glad that when Derek was up there in elimination time and smiling as if he was safe before the result shared, that he had to eat humble pie. He may think he's so great, but there are other pros much more accomplished than he is at his young age.
