I'm just trying to pin-point the episode where the relationship between Gil & Sara came to light to the audience and the rest of the CSI team. Any help ?

I think it was at Season 8, Episode 2

ok. im a new fan of csi, and i knew there was some chem going on between grissom & sara..but i wasnt sure..n the next episode i watchd..it totally screwd it up! i mean..wat season or episode did they find out they loved each other? or..at least..that they had a thing? someone..plese tell me!!!!

The audience was given hints during season 6, but it wasn't until the season finale that we got to see them together. The CSI team found out at the end of Season 7 when the minature killer kidnapped Sara and placed her under a car. Way late with the knowledge but hey better late than never.

sara and grissom meet 9 years ago and had feelings to each other but both was oblivous about it, you see so many of the feelings in ep invisable evidence and craite and barial, (sorry cant spell) grissom relises how much he feels for sara in butterflied, you had the gentle touching and the comments said by both charaiters then in living doll, grissom says that the reasom natalie kisnapped sara was because she blamed him for taking away the only person she loved so she was going to do the same thing,, some of the charaisters eg greg and catherine knew a bit but not everything, greg knew more, sorry about the spelling im a bit dislexic sorry
