The episode Sunday - just might be my last. The Jill Biden/Serve.gov was just way over the top for me. As a retired Army Wife (29 years), Army Mom (in the Stan), Marine MIL and Navy Aunt (with 3 Veterans too - from the OIF/OEF era) - I find using the 'Second Lady' to push a government volunteering site - most especially when that VP in his position in the Senate continually voted against the funding of both Wars disgusting and simple pandering to this 'new' Administration. Army Wives was one of the best shows I've seen - enough soap opera to be normal tv, enough military to be realistic. Now you've crossed the line for me. Beau Biden is a CPT in the JAG of the DE National Guard - that is so totally different job and life than those who serve active duty 24/7/365 from the time they sign until they leave. To equate her son & his mission with my son who went into Iraq in 2003 as a Infantry Company Commander in the opening days of OIE and now is in Afghanistan at a remote outpost - is just plain insulting. Most especially when the Army 'wives' portrayed are closer to my situation than Mrs. Biden will ever be.
How dare you cheapen such sacrifice to do a PSA for a government 'project'. BTW, Military wives are among the most involved/volunteering around - they have to be, their husbands are gone so much - someone has to do it.
Sad, I have all 3 previous seasons on dvd, was enjoying this one and now - in a single show, it's all gone.
And does anyone know how to contact Lifetime - the site just says send a postcard - how lame.
