I absolutely agree. My 11 year old daughter and myself lost much respect of the chosen representation of such a sensitive cause. From an 11 year old, "Wow. I don't like Tyra. She was a bad role model with how she communicated to Brittany. I could feel her hate while she's talking to her. She didn't have to say basically I hate you and wish you weren't here. I don't like Tyra."
I'm a parent and a teacher. Tyra displayed poor communication skills to those young girls and all who watched. Right or wrong, Tyra lacks balanced communication. Certainly, if I felt a student was wrong, it's best to appraoch with firm, caring, open and upward encouragement. Tyra? You get an "F" for communication skills. However, we believe you can change too. So, do what you know is right so we can change your grade okay?
In addition, perhaps you should view backstage footage of what your show allows viewers to see, perhaps then your credibility can be re-established via change.
Brittany, we adore your courage and genuine heart. Tyra's show does not teach character, you have it. Thank you for being you.
