Does anybody think that Barbara Padilla had a disadvantage in that an opera singer won it last year? I have a feeling that deterred some people in the way they voted. What do you think?

Barbara Padilla has a magnificient voice, but it is just not a Vegas act!

Do the runner-ups receive any money? There has been no mention of this.

Yeah for Skinner. Padilla will definately be snatched up by a great producer for opera singing not vegas.

I would have to agree with your thoughts about barbara's chances being less because of being an opera singer however at least she had an ear and was not tone deaf. I would have paid money to see any of the finale acts in vegas with one exception, Kevin skinner. I am absolutely astonished! he sonded terrible with thelma houston and worse in his last performance.

I have to agree with showboy. Kevin Skinner's singing was not that great. His last song was awful. It had to have been fixed. So not happy with America's Got Talent.

The winner, and there were several that were deserving, should have been chosen on talent not sympathy!!!!”

Picking Kevin Skinner surely appeared to be a purely a sympathy vote. I doubt that he will even appear in Vegas ... he has absolutely no stage presence. If he does, he won't last long. His performance on Monday and with Thelma Houston was deplorable. Drew was the guy who could really sing. The real winner is Barbara Padilla ... Hopefully, the people that really matter have taken note of Barbara and will not let this magnificent talent slip away.
