Mike Delfino (James Denton) is a main character on the ABC hit series Desperate Housewives. From the start of the series in 2004, he was the object of lust for various women on Wisteria Lane, but he was on the street for various personal reasons.

He initially came to Wisteria Lane, posing as a plumber to discover the truth about the fate of his missing ex-girlfriend, Deidre. He soon discovers that Paul Young (Mark Moses) and his wife were involved in the mysterious death of his girlfriend. More importantly, he discovers that he is a father and that is eventually what saves him from being killed by Paul.

Mike leaves for a little while to gather his thoughts and bearings and then returns to Wisteria Lane and begins a romance with Susan Meyer. This gets under the skin of her neighbor, Edie Britt (Nicollette Sheridan) who sets Susan's house on fire. This eventually pushes Mike and Susan closer together.

After several false starts, the two star-crossed lovers begin a permanent relationship, eventually getting married. Then financial pressures begin to build, which forces Susan to make the heartbreaking decision to rent her home and move to a shady neighborhood. This action sets into motion a series of events that lead Paul Young to buying several homes on the street. Meanwhile Mike finds that he has to take a more hands on role in getting his family out of the financial straits that they find themselves in. Of course, this does not preclude him from getting revenge on Paul for stealing his child with Deidre.
