Karen McLuskey (Kathryn Joosten), better known as Mrs. McLuskey on "Desperate Housewives," is one of Wisteria Lane's oldest residents. She has a good relationship with all of the housewives and is especially fond of Lynette Scavo (Felicity Huffman). Mrs. McLuskey provides the scoop on all the neighborhood gossip to Lynette and the other housewives, including Susan Meyer (Terry Hatcher), Bree Van de Kamp (Marcia Cross) and Gabrielle Solis (Eva Longoria).

Mrs. McLuskey is a pivotal character on "Desperate Housewives" because her nosiness puts her in a position to see what is really going on in the neighborhood. Her tough, no-nonsense exterior relates well with the other characters because she tells them what they need to hear, when they need to hear it. As the voice of reason and the eyes of the town, Mrs. McLuskey proves that "Desperate Housewives" are exciting at any age.
