'Dancing with the Stars' Judge Diagnosed with Cancer

Len Goodman, head judge on Strictly Come Dancing and the its American version, Dancing with the Stars, has been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in his prostate gland --- a condition he first discovered in March but decided not have the treatment until after he had finished filming Dancing with the Stars. Now, the 65-year-old ballroom dancing teacher is recovering from surgery, which he underwent three weeks ago without telling any of his colleagues.

'Dancing with the Stars' Couple Lands Their Own Show

Coming on the heels of the news that more and more professional dancers on Dancing with the Stars are getting more TV offers these days, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy have added yet another TV gig on their resume.

According to Perez Hilton, the real-life couple has just landed themselves their own reality TV series. These Dancing with the Stars professional are looking forward to possibly having a fall premiere, which would follow them as they pursue their dancing careers further, as well as their wedding plans.

Dancing with the Stars: Melissa Rycroft Joins 'Good Morning America'

Melissa Rycroft is ready to conquer yet another ABC program. This time, the former Dancing with the Stars
contestant, who came in third place last season, will be joining the cast of the breakfast television news and talk show, Good Morning America.
 
This marks Rycroft's fourth TV gig. She made her debut on CMT's Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team in 2006 and then later joined the 13th season of The Bachelor where love searcher Jason Mesnick asked her hand in marriage only to dump her on national TV for Bachelor runner-up Molly Malaney. The 26-year-old reality TV starlet was asked to replace Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell on Dancing with the Stars' eighth season after Nancy withdrew due to a knee injury. She was paired with Tony Dovolani and finished third behind Gilles Marini and eventual champ Shawn Johnson.


Vera Wang Still Considering 'Dancing with the Stars'

Vera Wang has acknowledged rumors that she has been invited to join the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars. If Wang decides to join the show, this won't be her first attempt on TV. She has appeared on Project Runway as a guest judge in 2006, has appeared as herself in an episode of Ugly Betty in 2007, as well as graced the competitive reality series, The Apprentice last year.

However, the 59-year-old fashion designer hasn't signed a contract with the show just yet, citing her busy schedule producing a pair of fashion shows set for September and October as reasons she may not want to dance.
