A couple of days ago, Sci-Fi announced that production for Endemol’s newest reality competition series titled Estate of Panic has started this week.  Moreover, actor Steve Valentine, who plays Dr. Nigel Townsend on the NBC series Crossing Jordan, was enlisted to host the show.  Dubbed as television's most physically and psychologically challenging competition show yet, Estate of Panic spans six episodes long, each of which will air for an hour.  The season premiere will hit airwaves on Wednesday, November 12 at 10pm on the Sci-Fi channel.

For six years, Valentine has worked on NBC’s Crossing Jordan as Dr. Nigel Townsend.  He also previously appeared as a guest on several primetime series such as Chuck, Will & Grace, Just Shoot Me, Dharma and Greg, Boston Legal, JAG and Charmed.

There's been a slew of 30-something 1980s stars getting brand-new series lately.  There's Alicia Silverstone of The Babysitter and Clueless fame landing the pilot, Bad Mother's Handbook.  For a while it seemed Beverly Hills 90210 beauty, Jennie Garth, would star in another pilot called My Best Friend's Girl until she bailed after a table read.

The latest is Jerry O'Connell, who has just been tapped to play the lead opposite Clean House's Niecy Nash in The Inn.

"Smart, eccentric, intuitive, and lovable," was the description given by actor Ken Howard regarding his character Max Cavanaugh on the crime-drama series Crossing Jordan.  As a seasoned police officer, he was forced into early retirement after he took the law into his own hands. Even with his reputation as a disgraced cop, he frequently served as a helping hand to daughter Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh (Jill Hennessy) in exploring murder investigations.  Despite his disappearance on the show, Howard remains to be seen on television and in the big screen with numerous impending projects.

As Detective Woody Hoyt on the NBC crime-drama series Crossing Jordan, Jerry O’Connell was popularly known as the “police muscle” for the medical examiner’s office.  While he usually worked with Dr. Jordan Cavanaugh (Jill Hennessy) in solving crimes, he was known to harbor feelings for her but was often hindered by her preference to remain friends. Fortunately, their suppressed relationship blossomed when Jordan professed her love for Woody during the series finale.  This gave fans a satisfying ending that finally brought light to the pair’s highly anticipated romantic confrontation.  Although the series already ended, O’Connell will remain visible on the television circuit with his upcoming pilot.
