-Comedy Cheers is an Emmy Award-winning classic television comedy series from NBC. It focuses on the offbeat antics and stories of several patrons from the bar Cheers, while exploring and tackling social issues found in their lives. Cheers is owned by former Boston Red Sox pitcher Sam Malone (Ted Danson), along with his assistant bartender Woody (Woody Harrelson), and run with the help of manager Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley) and waitress Carla (Rhea Perlman). Notable customers are mailman Cliff (John Ratzenberger), accountant and house painter Norm (George Wendt), and Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), who also stars in his own successful spin-off Frasier.
