Born on November 11, 1969 in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, Carson Lee Kressley is a graduate of Gettysburg College where he earned a degree in management and fine arts. Beginning his career in the fashion industry as an independent stylist, he moved on to work for Ralph Lauren in 1994, leaving the company in 2002 to work in various areas such as menswear and corporate advertising. In 2003 came his television debut as one of five gay men on Bravo's Queer Eye, where his expertise was the fashion expert. Kressley's career then took off as he was invited to appear on various television programs and specials such as The Today Show, E! Network programs, and award shows such as the Oscars and Golden Globes. He also served as a judge for the 2005 Miss Universe Pageant. In the same year, he made his first appearance on the big screen, on a film entitled The Perfect Man with stars Heather Locklear and Hilary Duff. 2007 saw Kressley accepting another television project entitled Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants.
Carson Kressley is one of three judges on the eight-episode competition that set mother-daughter tandems up against each other in a competition that requires beauty, grace and brains. Crowned: The Mother of All Pageants is The CW's fall treat for those pageant hungry fans who love fashion and girl power rolled into one hefty serving.
