Kapinos was at an LA Times Envelope Emmy screenwriting series panel when he talked about his days on Dawson's Creek.  He was supposed to speak about his new series starring David Duchovny, when he pointed out that his previous work was practically the inspiration for Californication.

Heroes: T-Bag, Darth Maul Get Season 4 Roles

June 4, 2009

Looks like Heroes is getting injected with a lot--a hell lot.  Four names have been thrown into the pot and set to play roles in the upcoming fourth season of the show.

First up is a familiar villain, at least to those who have seen Prison Break: Robert Knepper has signed on to play Samuel, previous referred to as the "Carnival Barker" in previous releases.  For at least six episodes, we'll see this charismatic guy wreck havoc on all the heroes by peeking into all of their lives.  That, and he's evil, and he's got a very wicked sense of humor.

Golden Globes: 'True Blood','Mad Men' Among Nominees

December 11, 2008

The Golden Globe Awards honor the best in both television and movies, and though they're not taken as seriously as the Emmys or the Oscars, they're still a lavish, star-studded affair.  However, the glitz was put on hold last year due to the writers' strike, forcing the producers of the show to cobble together an awkward news conference to announce the winners.  This year, with no strike in sight, the Globes are back to being as glamorous and exciting as ever.  The ceremony is set to air on NBC on Sunday, January 11 at 8pm, and is bound to be attended by a cavalcade of big stars.

The nominees for the 66th Annual Golden Globes were announced this morning, and below you'll find a list of all the television categories.  Shows like True Blood, Mad Men, 30 Rock and The Office received multiple nominations, while other critically acclaimed shows were surprisingly omitted.

Showtime Picks Up 'Californication' for Season 3

December 4, 2008

Viva Californication!  After dealing with the controversies regarding his sex addiction, his separation from his wife Téa Leoni and his alleged affair with tennis instructor Edit Pakay, David Duchovny has something to celebrate.  Showtime announced yesterday that its sophomore drama Californication has been picked up for a third season, with filming expected to start this spring.

Californication, which is up for 12 episodes for a late 2009 premiere, stars Duchovny, as Hank Moody, a troubled novelist plagued with personal demons, as he constantly deals with the fallout of his drug and sex addictions, while trying to show his ex-girlfriend Karen (Natascha McElhone) and daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) that he can be a good, caring person.
