Brendan Jacob Joel Fehr was born on October 29, 1977 in New Westminster, British Columbia, but grew up with his sister in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Looking for a quick way to earn some money, he walked into the Look Talent Management office to inquire about modeling. The manager steered him in the direction of television acting and after a week, Fehr found himself a guest on the series, Breaker High. This happened just as he was about to begin his studies at the University of Manitoba, where he had planned to prepare for a career in teaching. He eventually decided to follow his mother’s advice, to pursue acting if that was what he truly wanted.
Appearing in magazines early on in his career, Brendan Fehr soon landed parts on films like Hand, Disturbing Behavior and the TV production Every Mother’s Worst Fear. This was followed by roles in Night Man, Millennium, and on The New Addams Family in 1999. He later joined the cast of the series Roswell, playing the alien Michael Guerin. This shot him to fame, and he landed roles on several films afterwards. The next year, he portrayed George Waggner on the thriller Final Destination, starring Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Kerr Smith, Sean William Scott and Kristen Cloke. In 2001, Fahr starred in another horror film, this time appearing alongside Selma Blair in Kill Me Later. His next project was The Forsaken, where he worked once again with Kerr Smith. Soon, he starred in two other films, namely Long Shot and The Edge of Madness, which was based on a short story by Alice Munro. In 2003, Fehr was chosen for a role in Biker Boyz, following it up with Nemesis Game with his co-star in Roswell, Carly Pope. He was later cast on several episodes of CSI: Miami, portraying the character Dan Cooper. Fehr’s next regular role was in Samurai Girl, where he was cast as Jake Stanton. He has also appeared in Sugar, Child Star, The Long Weekend, Comeback Season, The Fifth Patient and The Other Side of the Tracks.
