SAM TAYLOR-WOOD plans to put her film-making career on hold - so she can spend time with her kids and teenage fiance.
The conceptual artist has been praised by critics for her directorial debut Nowhere Boy - the story of John Lennon's childhood - and she even took home a British Independent Film Award on Sunday (06Dec09) for another movie, Love You More.
But the 42 year old has decided to trade in her burgeoning success for quality time with partner Aaron Johnson, the 19-year-old actor she cast as the Beatles legend in the Lennon biopic.
She says, "It may be career madness but I am taking time out now to be at home with my kids and fiance. I just want time to be me. I loved collaborating and making the films but I want to be with the kids, who are three and 12, and to spend time with my boyfriend when we are not working."
